It's a good idea to remember that Sel hates his audience. He thinks we're all awful people for playing this game, and is going out of his way to antagonize us because he sees us as less than human. We're paypigs to exploit and abuse, nothing more. And that's why he hates us for pirating his game so much -- the one thing we have to offer him, we refuse to provide.

In light of Yuki and Tsubasa's apparent connection: Two sisters?

There was a theory that Yumi was related to Tsukioka.

In the latest events, Yuki says that she took in someone - but it's unclear who and how it ended.
Maybe Yumi is not her biological daughter? However, they have the same eyes.

About the update.
Why is everyone so upset about Yuki's event? I like Yuki, but she is a member of a yakuza gang. No matter how well we feel about her now, she is a criminal. An unpleasant ending, but not unexpected.

About Ami.
Did you forget? At the end of Chapter 3, "our" Ami dies.
And the question - is "our" old Ami alive or has she been replaced by the "new" Ami? The "new" one can clearly jump between changes/layers/times. So it is possible that the Ami at the beginning of the game is not the same as now.

Personally, i didn't expect it or something like it and so it felt hamfisted when it happened. I was expecting her to suck him off and be handed a 1 Yen coin, with him saying that's all she's worth and that's the last of his money she'll get... i was expecting that or close to it cause that would've fit, would've smacked her down, cut off an anchor/crutch and forced her to confront herself... instead we got a juvenile gangrape... i don't even care about any NTR bullshit regarding it, NTR is just dumb to me, barely fazes me, it was just the sheer pointlessness of it... Yuki didn't deserve that and it doesn't fit with her character arc and i don't even mean that in a whiteknight or a simp kind of way, she just plain didn't deserve it as a character, there was no impetus for it, it wasn't built up to and so there was nothing to pay off, and it added nothing unique, especially considering she'd just as easily be able to be thrown out with her 1 Yen coin and left lying on the street with feelings of hopelessness only for Tsubasa to walk by...

Stomache was earned, that scene just wasn't...

So far, quite the opposite. Some rare exclusive content for people willing to grind up 2 thousand Ayane affection near the start of chapter 1 (and those people need to reach 3000, possibly 3010 before chapter 3 ends)

There have been whispers of you shouldn't grind quite so high, but so far you've just been rewarded for it instead.
I think you should grind that high, just not cheat it

I just thought it was superfluous from a writing/story perspective.

And Yuki's one of my favourite characters so yeah, I don't particularly enjoy seeing her gangraped in what felt like a pointless porn scene. The fact she used to be a criminal doesn't really affect that lol

Piracy aside, I think a lot of the problems come from who Selebus is as a person (or what he turned into). Let's examine the puzzles, for instance.

TLDR is: Piracy or not, were I to join the discord and publish my trigger guides a couple hours after release (or ever), I'd be banned. The real issue is Selebus himself.

Let it be known that I've examined puzzles specifically. Way more can be said about other systems and behaviors from the dev - but you guys can extrapolate from what I wrote.
I've known Selebus for a long time, and I know that the reason why Akira is so well written as a self-destructive character is because he himself is a self-destructive person, there's nobody else who can understand this feeling, but the funniest thing is that he's either completely oblivious to it or refuses to admit it.
He thinks he's a writing genius when all he does is take his own disgusting persona and mold it into what he wishes people saw in him: Someone who's "Misunderstood".
In a way, he succeeded. Akira is a tragic character, a disgusting and vile one, and despite all of it, everyone still likes him.
The tragedy of Selebus is that this is not a fantasy, and he himself won't be liked for his own unpleasant personality.

On the topic of Ami: something interesting that I noticed about last update is that it seemed like Chapter 1 to 3 Ami had no clue about the boxes and was bothered by the idea of it:

Meanwhile; current Chapter 4 Ami seems to know everything about the boxes and might even be responsible for them:

She even seemed to use the boxes to get New Maya and Sensei closer to eachother, enabling Sensei to somewhat move on from Maya Prime, and spend more time with New Maya. The boxes were effectively used as a tool by current Ami.

Overall: Chapter 1 to 3 Ami at least acted bothered by the idea of Sensei carrying something for Maya. Chapter 4 casually uses the very idea as a tool to develop their feelings for eachother.

I discovered this game while browsing VNDB because there was some controversy where the mods were pointing out that Selebus was either paying for reviews or sending his discord following to create accounts to vote 10 on the LiL page

The reason i enjoy LiL is the subject matter, you just can't get this kind of story outside of places like this, normies would react with extreme rhetorical violence. Now don't get me wrong, i love porn games too, but the one thing i craved for years was adult stories, true adult stories, for adults, where normal shit like sex doesn't just fade to a black screen or skip to after.

Now, all of us are complete fucking nerds, so i've no doubt some of you are virgins, but even then, we all know sex is a normal part of being an adult, and as adults, we can enjoy fiction without having to be concerned with moral implications of consuming it. I want to read stories about fucked up people and fucked up situations, not because i'm fucked up (i am) but because it's the one kind of thing you can't find in the mainstream pile, you have to find the hidden nooks and crannies to find content like LiL. I'm not a teenager, haven't been for almost two decades, and i just want to consume content appropriate for my age, that is, everything, and not have censors tell me no.

LiL has plenty of sex in it, but almost none of it is hot, but it exists and is normalized within the story, i appreciate that fact, it has a story to tell and it doesn't fade to black cause of censorship. Reading a story about the cycle of childhood sexual abuse mixed with mindfuckery is exactly the kind of fucked up stuff i wished existed before i found this site.
First of all, ow my already weak mentality and heart. Second, I really do have to agree, I really love stories about testing the limits of humanity and how far are people willing to go, it only makes them shine better when they do come out the other side cleaner than they started. You think with so many shows and movies out right now, there'll be at least a decent amount covering it but not really; it's hard to bring those topics to light and personally, I think the more forbidden and harder to discuss about should be hidden in the dark corners of the internet. With more censors than ever and more corporations buying out creativity and draining it out in droves, I think it's nice in a fucked up sort of way to find creavity in the darkness of humanity, and to be able to discuss with fairly likeminded people like everyone here (you're all surprising great and not fucked up people), I certainly didn't expect to find it in a porn game of all places to be honest with the rest of you.

Tbh, this made me want to try The Last Sovereign more than ever and you made me honestly want to have another go at it again blind to see if I can get into it, if you got any more games to advertise I would love to know.

In other words, you really summed up my problems with Selebus as a person and with his work, really have nothing more to say about the guy that hasn't been said here already in this forum.

Stomache was earned, that scene just wasn't...
I think that summarized what was wrong with yuki's events in a nice bow honestly imo.
Stomache is central to Io's character, we understood what illed her after numerous of updates as we got know her, and people liked her for weaknesses and her weirdness so when stomache happened and not only confirmed what we expected but forced us to be in the same role as their captors, everything went crumbling down, so did we; but Yuki's events were written out of nowhere from the story's perspective, it felt all so artificial, it feel fake, like I get it, you wanted to create tension, a dark moment and stain in yuki's history and force the story into a direction that you needed it to go, you need an event like that and break yuki to her lowest's point but there wasn't any buildup, it was overblown with all cruelity that it made it more ridiculous than emotional gut wrenching.

With Stomache I couldn't play the game or come back to this forum for weeks, that fucking two choice prompt broke me, with yuki, I said to ask myself "really?"

Again as this game is in a work in progress and the event is still new in everyones' minds, this issue could be explained or addressed or not that big in the grand scheme of things, but as of rn, the event disappoints me.

I have added pretty much everything I've played under my signature now. They're divided by [Completed] and [Ongoing], and have [Recommended], [Neutral] and [Not Recommended] under each.

That being said, here are some good ones:

In the case of The Last Sovereign and Noblesse Oblige, both are free on steam. If you want a straight up recommendation, go for boat. It's criminally unknown, and it was a riot to play. Noblesse Oblige is pretty much TLS but lesser.
