I deleted the game after witnessing the content of "This town has two halves". After a few months later (maybe a year) I remembered that this game exist and start reading this thread to see what kind of sick fucks plays this game.

Instead i saw a lenghty post about sunflowers and pictures in pockets, and how it connects to a character's name. Is this game actually more than a pretentious writing with random jumpscares? Then i started to remember the beginning of the game and told myself "lets try it again."

After a year later and two playthroughs, i can say i'm addicted to this game.
You should have escaped when you had the chance, many people nowadays don't have that chance anymore ;-;

I wish i could. Everytime a new update drops i tell myself to wait for a few months, so i can play lots of content without any interruptions. longest wait i could endure was one week.

Thats why i don't try to scare newcomers by saying this is not a jerk off game. I want them to suffer with me waiting for next update.

Meanwhile; current Chapter 4 Ami seems to know everything about the boxes and might even be responsible for them:
Funny, I had actually assumed that Ami was only responsible for this most recent batch of boxes to put New Maya and Akira in an awkward position. I thought the conclusion was so natural that I was rather taken aback that it doesn't seem that anyone here has mentioned that possibility

I've known Selebus for a long time, and I know that the reason why Akira is so well written as a self-destructive character is because he himself is a self-destructive person, there's nobody else who can understand this feeling, but the funniest thing is that he's either completely oblivious to it or refuses to admit it.
He thinks he's a writing genius when all he does is take his own disgusting persona and mold it into what he wishes people saw in him: Someone who's "Misunderstood".
In a way, he succeeded. Akira is a tragic character, a disgusting and vile one, and despite all of it, everyone still likes him.
The tragedy of Selebus is that this is not a fantasy, and he himself won't be liked for his own unpleasant personality.
I personally have no experiences with Sel and personally prefer to consume these indie games exclusively through the game, removed from the creators' side comments and community discussions in order to appreciate the game by its own merit through its first-degree canon, so all of this is rather new to me. While I can't weigh in on any judgement of his character, I'm gonna be honest with you, if even just a tiny portion of what you said is true, I can't imagine how he could possibly write a satisfying conclusion to Akira's story. I'm just gonna pretend I didn't read that and be sad much later down the line

Overall: Chapter 1 to 3 Ami at least acted bothered by the idea of Sensei carrying something for Maya. Chapter 4 casually uses the very idea as a tool to develop their feelings for eachother.
My interpretation is different. I think Ami knew about everything since forever ago, and that she fakes not knowing about the boxes at the start. Then, she pretended to be responsible for the boxes now just so that Akira would feel intrigued and take New Maya on a date. She wasn't responsible for them ever, and isn't now either.

So it's finally happening. Professor Wakana tries to save a "poor student" from being corrupted by her mother's poems.

I'm sure that will go wonderfully.

In the past I was kind of pissed she kept interfering, but at this point I'm like "fuck it", Akira doesn't deserve any say in anything whatsoever. Go for it, goth girl.

Ooo, thats a good point. I found Ami really started to sketch out when she read Sekai's poem to Akira in the 4th reset (My Life With You). She did seem to become even more possessive in Chapter 3, especially when she was with Ayane during the Dorm Wars Scavanger Hunt; when Ayane let Ami know she knew about her and Akira. Although a mark against that would be how Ami treats Makoto when she find's out Makoto's dad died.

Before that point, I really dont remember Ami being any more possessive than Ayane, and they would routinely joke/kid each other over their love of Akira, and Ami didn't put up much of a fight when Noriko started to get involved in his life

Megamind ass "No incest?" head.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's a joke fakeout (What do you want Arakawa, A blowjob, Fine, Really? No)

Is that her kitchen or Akira's?
I went back to the Jelly Soup event, and Wakana's kitchen has white walls. So... Arakawa's.. and the preview after shows her talking with Ami so.. yeah. im sure she went there for some reason.

I personally don't see this story having a fulfilling resolution at this point due to his lack of planning, editing, and focus. It's disappointed me to start thinking that way because chapter 2 and 3 were really well done, but I just find the story is losing the plot. I really want to be proven wrong but this is a person who has explicitly stated he does not plan ahead besides the occasional major story plot point.
