Sel is clearly a skilled writer, but he's caught up in awful modern artistic philosophies. Nihilism is "smart", everything must be a deconstruction, happy endings are just the worst thing you can do, everything must be both oozing meaning yet also simultaneously meaningless, the artist must hate and disrespect his audience, and any complaints, especially about being pretentious are just small minded plebeians.
Rick & Morty and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race.

You sir need Jesus, Nozomu, Pareidolia, Wire diety, scissor lady, or whoever you want to pick from, because you are objectively wrong.

Until now, between Akira and Maya Prime everything has been "stopped" since Maya Prime's "death" in the reset, the changes we had were between Akira and the new Maya, the changes were between them.

does anyone actually like the poems selebus writes? I've seldom seen them discussed here
I found myself favoring Ami’s cute little poem in My Life With You the most, which is a little surprising even to me.

Usually I love poems that either describe tangible things with intangible words, or intangible things with tangible words. That’s the “ah a smartass I know how to appreciate” and it has been like that for me with Selly for a good amount of time until recently. With the ongoing trend of describing intangible things with intangible words (aka pretentious gibberish), I actually fall back to Ami’s work; plain, simple, over the top sweet, makes you go “awwwww” instead of “what the fuck is Selly trying to do here? Does he himself know even?”.

In terms of poems, i think i'd go with the one that was next to Himawari in that one scene:

I have no name
I am but two days old.—
What shall I call thee?
I happy am
Joy is my name,—
Sweet joy befall thee!

Pretty joy!
Sweet joy but two days old,
Sweet joy I call thee;
Thou dost smile.
I sing the while
Sweet joy befall thee.

I don't give much about the poem stuff ingame, this was just one time where i thought it was story relevant.
It's where i think for an additional time Himawari's name was confirmed to be Himawari.
Because flowers in general and sunflowers too a higher degree are refered to joy.

How dare you.

*I did read an interesting theory that Himawari is Ayane's wish though. Hadn't thought of that. Doesn't fit perfectly with her coming from another dimension that Akira abandoned ("Perfect Harmony"), but not impossible either.

I mean, we both know that not much, is to be taken as given.
Himawari could be another Ami, a wish by Ayane, a banana, from another reality, the baby from? Trinity? (p1,2,3?).
Just trying to take things at face value these days.
So Himawari is Ayane's daughter whatever, as simple as that.

One day before release and we're talking about poems, it's surprising heartwarming...
if it weren't for the fact it's a part of this game

What are you most exited for in the next update?
From the screenshots, it seems like Nao-chan is taking a more active role, so that could be interesting. Wakana comes as a close second.

I'm not looking forward at all to more Yuki stuff cause my expectation is that I'll be "yep, totally unnecessary then". But what can you do. I'm not capable of hoping for the best, but I'll not be bashing it before I've seen it at least.
