gotta admit, at first I thought this to be a case of Chika-chan vs Ami-chan who's on autopilot after that heated conversation that ends with Ami Prime saying "maybe you'd be happy if I also died". Alas, events about Chika struggling through life with her own autopilot do sound enticing.

Strangely yes. IIRC her TSS took place at least one update prior to the most recent dorm wars; supposedly the Chika that played her first DnD already was the Chika after her TSS

Chapter 4 is also a huge downer vibe, and I'm still waiting for the moment where things pick back up after Sensei stopped being depressed. It was almost last update but niki dumb, maya cucked and yuki rape mellowed it out. Now I have to hope it's the beach.
1st reset of Chapter 4 isn't that bad now that you can play through the entirety of it without the year of waiting for a monthly slice. I'm hoping to say the same thing about this reset and chapter.
Porn that I care about works much better than otherwise generic porn.

It depends on the game, some games are hot because of the storyline, some let you play out twisted fantasies and some just have animations that are very fappable. LiL is none of these of course.

Lessons in Love IS all of those things, the game is a jack-of-all trades in what people look for when searching for Adult entertainment.
Everyone stays because they either like the top tier story, they like the twisted sexual taboos or they just find the characters hot (which they all are)
It doesn't matter what you initially came here for, you've been intrigued by something, and now it's too late to close the game.

I was intrigued by the story at first, and downloaded the game because of the small breasts.
When a game have too much women with big breasts, I just go away (even if the story is good). I don't like them.

For an H-game, the sex scenes has always been one of LiL's weakest link. There people who start playing believing it to be a fappable game, when it fact it is just a novel that simply happens to have sexual themes in it.
I do like the character models and the lighting/background in this game, much better than most games I have seen using koikatsu. But damn does Selebus sucks at animating the sex scenes in this game. It is understandable since as I mentioned, that has never been the focus of this game, but I do believe that's something he is gonna have to fix by the time the full game releases.
Like even the "bonus animations" leave much to desire.
There is also the issue that ever since chapter 2 or 3, you can suddenly get jumpscared in the middle of what is supposed an enjoyable scene, or said sex scene is ocurring during special circumstances. It has happened so many times that now I'm always tense while reading a sex scene, believing that something horrible is about to happen.

OK so there was a rework, I swear when I started playing this that the characters and banner looked familiar, just chalked it up to models sharing similar looks with other Koikatsu games I've played and seen before. I do remember finding this game years ago (The Maya model walking and everything) and I think I downloaded it but after playing it last November it seemed different then what I remembered so figured I never bothered. Also picked up back Out of Touch after 3 years (Surprisingly actually 3 years as my last save was July 2nd, 2022) and I know this game started out very differently then what I've started playing now (Not even 10 minutes in), and seeing this comment just after coming to the forums to see if there was a rework, spooky.
I am someone who enjoys story, even a half way decent story in the porn I watch works better then just jumping straight to it (though its hard to find porn actors who can actually act and make it organic) So finding this place years ago has been a goldmine after finding drips of porn games with any kind of story. Playing and watching the plot unfold, having direct or perceived direct control of how the lewd scenes go, when they happen, if I'm putting myself either fully or partly into the MC seeing those relationships build and progress till the climax, just makes the enjoyment all the better. Now don't get me wrong I also don't mind just going straight into it when I just want a quick fap but more often then not a story always pulls me back in. Also the story doesn't have to be perfect or professional level, some of the games I've enjoyed a lot have been Twisted World by Snats, Elemental Trainer, Broken Dreams, Cabin by the Lake, My New Memories and as someone mentioned earlier and I found recently Instincts Unleashed.

I think Chika-chan vs Auto Pilot is Chika battling with two sperate personalities within herself(if that makes sense). Uta uses the Uta-chan persona as a way to cope with being a horny spaz. Chika-chan is probably the yandere maid persona. And I think Chika is going to hear something about Sensei fucking Imani and the whole "Im winning" thing is going to come out. Which may be her auto pilot or her way of coping with people fucking her "boyfriend".

The reason i enjoy LiL is the subject matter, you just can't get this kind of story outside of places like this, normies would react with extreme rhetorical violence. Now don't get me wrong, i love porn games too, but the one thing i craved for years was adult stories, true adult stories, for adults, where normal shit like sex doesn't just fade to a black screen or skip to after.
Now, all of us are complete fucking nerds, so i've no doubt some of you are virgins, but even then, we all know sex is a normal part of being an adult, and as adults, we can enjoy fiction without having to be concerned with moral implications of consuming it. I want to read stories about fucked up people and fucked up situations, not because i'm fucked up (i am) but because it's the one kind of thing you can't find in the mainstream pile, you have to find the hidden nooks and crannies to find content like LiL. I'm not a teenager, haven't been for almost two decades, and i just want to consume content appropriate for my age, that is, everything, and not have censors tell me no.
LiL has plenty of sex in it, but almost none of it is hot, but it exists and is normalized within the story, i appreciate that fact, it has a story to tell and it doesn't fade to black cause of censorship. Reading a story about the cycle of childhood sexual abuse mixed with mindfuckery is exactly the kind of fucked up stuff i wished existed before i found this site.

nah man, I just like LiL for the puzzles, the nonsensical style of finding events, how Selebus thinks it's a good idea to make replays not work correctly, and the loss of time overthinking things when you find out that 80% of the plot is just him winging it (and some of it didn't even happen). Can't beat this!
seriously though, Bingoogus already said it all. It's about taking the freedom that comes with a niche adult genre and using it to write an actual engaging story that is willing to go and discuss dark topics, but not simply become a torture porn either.

I discovered Lil through another website and because of the image of his characters at a table eating with the wall full of clocks without hands and the classic : ) and I continued because of an event that was "Get your niece pregnant" there I realized how strange and bizarre this game would be compared to the others I had already played and what caught my attention was the theme of "broken people being rebuilt into something beautiful" this part of the story totally caught my attention, today I continue because I want to see how these broken characters will be rebuilt into their best versions.(This is something I have faith will happen later in the story)

I deleted the game after witnessing the content of "This town has two halves". After a few months later (maybe a year) I remembered that this game exist and start reading this thread to see what kind of sick fucks plays this game.
Instead i saw a lenghty post about sunflowers and pictures in pockets, and how it connects to a character's name. Is this game actually more than a pretentious writing with random jumpscares? Then i started to remember the beginning of the game and told myself "lets try it again."
After a year later and two playthroughs, i can say i'm addicted to this game.

Are there any events that I can miss for having my stats too high? I want to do a replay and want to just raise them as soon as I'm able to but I think that at the last halloween party there was an odd part where Selebus just mentions that I could miss them if they were too high¿?.
I think not, but if you do too much story for characters too fast you can miss scenes for other characters. Like too much Chika story before Rin. Another later too much Chika before Yumi.
