Sometimes when I read the thread I feel strange. I like the story Selebus writes, also Chapter 4. Many here seem not to enjoy, but they still read, and talk about how bad things are now.

LiL is like a drug — once you started it years ago, you can't just drop it. You want to see how it ends.
And it’s not like the current state of LiL is unplayable. The game’s just declined, and we’re criticizing the obvious downgrades we don’t like. But most of us still like the game.

What HG said, i don't hate the game, i still look forward to updates, i just have no where near the enthusiasm for it that i once did. Downgrading to 'heightened interest' doesn't mean disinterest or joylessness...

Sadly it only has a few of the songs from the game.

Shameless plug for the Jukebox Mod I put together awhile back:

I got tired of having an incomplete jukebox in the game after all this time, so I went ahead and updated it myself. It has basically every major song in the game now as of 0.48, so if you want it for your own game, replace the 'jukebox.rpy' file in your game folder with the one in the attachment.

I triple checked it to make sure there wouldn't be any issues, and it works great.

Installation: Right click the attachment, and ‘Save link as’. Send the rpy file where you can find it. From there, replace the old jukebox.rpy file in your game folder with the new one. You will now have an updated jukebox!

The only annoying part is that the jukebox.rpy gets overwritten every update unless you delete Sel’s incomplete version from each patch before copying over the files.

As a newcomer to AVNs, I'm glad LiL was the first one I played cuz there's no way I would've kept playing them if I downloaded some of the other countless garbage games on Itchio(RIP) , aside from Eternum and Perfect Pitch I've played like 15 more and all of them are pure utter dogshit (Even Eternum is only here for presentation only). What I like the most about the subgenre is that you can really place an inmense amount of CGs in each scene that would simply be impossible to include in their Japanese counterpart.

If you've been feeling strange by reading the thread because we're negative, you haven't been reading it long. Here's a new and (imo) accurate way of looking at the "negativity": We're supporting eachother through this, it's a support group. There have been elements, for months now, that we don't like and by sharing it with others, and feeling validated, we can move past it and try to focus on the aspects of the game that we still like.

Also, I don't like this idea of "if you don't enjoy it, why read it and talk about how bad it is?" - as many have pointed out, we didn't pick up LiL last month and can simply drop the story no strings attached. There's a lot of us invested in it and in this community. Would I drop it if the story turned into complete shit? It's likely. But we're not there by a long shot.

If you feel like you'd rather be in the company of a strictly "positive" reaction to LiL, there's always the discord. You won't find anyone having the slighest complaint about anything there (for long).

Nao-chan? Doubtful. I believe her role in this update will be strictly lore related with the looks we’ve gotten at her previews, which are a callback to the very first events of the whole game: “Every Day I Grow Some More” and “A New You”. What significance that will have? We shall see.

Chinami? It’s… possible I guess, but I’m still gonna say I don’t think so. Chika is literally there in the previews and I don’t sense anything ominous about any of them or Chinami’s event titles.

I mean… unless Chika has completely flown off the deep end and does a complete 180 on her protectiveness of Chinami. Didn’t she spend her entire TSS event sacrificing her own wellbeing so that Chinami would be protected? I feel like Chika, even as much as she’s changed, still has limits when it comes to her sister.

Which only leaves…

Tsukasa.

Remember Christmas at the Tsukioka Manor? How Tsubasa pushed her away even further? How Akira continued to successfully groom her on the Green Path? Tsukasa is even (supposedly) watching internet porn with Chinami in one of the previews, probably out of curiosity more than anything.

…Sure would be ironic if that ‘learning material’ became useful later in the very same update.

I’m not gonna say full on penetration will happen, because I mean… we saw how things went for Miku. But at the very least, I feel like something unsavory will happen with Tsukasa.

But yes… as sad as it is to say, who does Tsukasa even have as an adult figure in her life? The father who neglects her? The mother who constantly reminds her that she isn’t the favorite? That she’s disposable?

Akira has paid attention to her, though… At least moreso in comparison to her parents. And that, sadly, is why Tsukasa will latch onto him. Because she has no one else who fills that role.

It’s all part of Tsubasa’s plan too… or… I guess the Whispers of the World’s plan? Still don’t know what that was all about, but yeah.

…On a slightly different note, if all this speculation turns out to be bullshit, then I’d say Touka has a pretty good chance! So that’s something, right?

My Take on the Wizards

I have a personal theory about Chinami that makes me believe that she is similar to Tsubasa, in the way that she is aware that things arent normal (but not at Tsubasa's level), and she keeps playing her role, just like Tsubasa does.
Because i goddamn dont believe for a second that Chinami is just "a very smart girl that likes to play dumb". Im pretty sure she is aware that something is not right, but her attitude makes me think she behaves like that not because she likes to play dumb... but because that's how she think a young little sister would act. She even said "Chika would get sad if Chinami is growing up. Chinami needs to stay Chinami".
Anyway... that's a thing that has set on my headcannon.

I think Nao, being so Nao, made me not put her on the same level as Chinami and Tsukasa, she seems more like a supernatural horror than a human one in the first place, so I don't feel the same concern that I feel when it involves Akira with Tsukasa and Chinami, Nao is too supernatural for me to care about that, I see her almost like Moyo, she is too supernatural for me to feel anything when it involves erotic things.
