Since we're on this kind of subject, aside from the choice to stay with Ami, what do you consider to be the most impactful choice for the game that we could lose if we're on the red path?
I am a bit out of the loop so IDK if I am on "the red path" I have missed events though due to personal choices.

So far I said no to: Ami asking Akira to go with her at the Karaoke booth. Which honestly was a choice because I would never want to hurt Maya unless the game forced me to. Though the alternative had a still pretty "I like Maya" outcome.

The second one I said no to was perving out on Chinami. Half because of the levels of loli and half because I find her insufferable. Same with Tsukasa, but I genuinely find her funny as hell and want to be her dad.

Last one I missed was with Io and choosing... not to be a bad person? I would like as the game progresses and Akira is slowly trying to get his shit together, the more opportunities for not being a heel should come forward. I know it would cause you to miss out, and you would have big letters saying "YOU MISSED SHIT" but it would be kind of thematic. Though I could be totally wrong and the green path is the story Sel wants to tell... but who knows. I just think at some point Akira would at least TRY not to be the absolute worst, and we sort of see him talk about it and in some places its forced that he makes good guy decisions.

I mean for a good a guy he can be.

But I guess from my actions I could miss out on probably nothing with the Maya choice, I feel like I gained a lot with the Io choice, and I have a sneaking feeling not being a loli might fuck me if that's the story Sel wants to tell and I might have to mess with some variables at some point.

How on the rails is the update? Can I coast through it, or should my lazy ass wait for the guide mod?

Honestly, I think we made a list of almost everything about this game, in fact, I'm surprised there wasn't a list of the most beautiful scenarios in the game or the best secondary characters and stuff like that.

I am really shocked people aren't a fan of her. She isn't my favorite, but she's alright. There is a lot there can be done with her story too.
I've had a bit of an emotional rollercoaster with Otoha's character. I really liked her at the start of her character story, then absolutely hated her during her shit girlfriend arc, then she's been working her way back into a more positive opinion in her current arc with plenty of character growth left. If nothing else, she's a very interesting character in her own right.

Red path is just what we call any playthrough with missed events, basically, so there's a lot of variations. Seemingly the karaoke booth happens regardless so the only difference with missing this is you don't get to see what happens but Akira still goes with her and Maya still sees what happens.

The second one I said no to was perving out on Chinami. Half because of the levels of loli and half because I find her insufferable. Same with Tsukasa, but I genuinely find her funny as hell and want to be her dad.
Yeah it seems like this red choice is pretty big, and so far it's all Tsukasa/Tsukasa related events you miss out on (a good half dozen so far)

He was in chapter 3 but in chapter 4 he's more hopeless and weak. As far as Io goes the green route there is a decision which is very rooted in his fucked up experiences with Sekai, so it could be that his relationship with Io going forward on the green path will be a fundamental part in how he changes his perception of those experiences which is obviously something he needs to do if he's ever going to move past them.

It could also be utterly inconsequential in the long run though lol so far there hasn't really been any difference. I have a feeling being on the red route with her might just eliminate the possibility of sex. I quite like their dynamic on the red route, though.

Honestly the lack of sex thing kind of goes with my idea of Akira becoming a better person. It may say "MISSED" but I kind of hope its a intentional thing. On top of that most of the characters I don't even want to get with, I just want to be their dad and give them a hug. Sana, Yasu, Io, Tuskasa, Rin... ect.

I want to agree but there's too many awful relationships that you don't have a choice about - regardless of your decision with Io he's still noncing around with half a class of his own students lol and as far as Akira becoming a better person goes I think we're just not at the point where he can do that in earnest. He can struggle against his demons and make a right decision here and there but at the end of the day he hasn't began to deal with his actual issues at all yet and his urges have seemingly become stronger with his memory returning. We still have probably like two to three million+ words to go before we get to the starting of purity routes so there's still a looot of potential time before Akira can really make headway.

At the moment my expectation is that his missteps in situations like Io's 'Stomachache' event will serve as the catalysts for his eventual growth and enable him to break the cycle he's stuck in and missing certain things will cause him to become stuck as key relationships won't have developed; or else it'll just be a gimmick and inevitably there won't be much tangible difference. That's harder to believe after the past couple updates though, we're starting to see very important things missed through red pathing both in terms of relationships and in terms of lore (e.g we miss a very revealing Tsubasa event on top of all the Tsukasa events we've lost out on).

I'm 99% sure this isn't gonna happen but there's a part of me that thinks it would be really great if it turned out green route ended with Akira getting reset to the beginning of the game and you had to not fuck Ami to get to the actual end lol

On top of that most of the characters I don't even want to get with, I just want to be their dad and give them a hug. Sana, Yasu, Io, Tuskasa, Rin... ect.
This is how I feel about almost everybody at this point lol

I swear this game is one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve ever had. I like the story, but holy shit - Sensei is my most hated protagonist in any piece of media ever.

I’m in the middle of Chapter 3. Do I understand correctly that in Chapter 4, he not only hasn’t grown much as a person, but has actually regressed?

maybe I need to cut my losses and quit, this is just too unbearable...

Seeing how events are going in the green path, I wonder if Sel has something planned for red path Tsukasa.
unlikely. Sel had said in the past that you would be able to do all the routes in a single playthrough, so making a "red" choice and expecting an event based on that choice is unlikely.

NOW, we have seen in the past event variations for making a "red" choice; Bad Homie is the obvious first one as Rin's has numerous comments about that atleast til Ch3, but no exact event for that choice. In fact you miss like 2 events. That would be you best bet with going on the "no wizards" red path. It does seem like Sel has less of those now than earlier in the game though.

As for skipping the wizards, its funny cause Akira basically acts as awkward as fuck around them in the extra scenes and at some points tries to act a bit more parental to the both of them. Which you said you like to envision with some of the other girls. Nothing yet that pushes the boundaries, but I think we all know it is coming and who knows if there will be another choice to make or will it be an on rails thing

How on the rails is the update? Can I coast through it, or should my lazy ass wait for the guide mod?
Moonflare has a post from like the 1st with the triggers.; I cant give enough props to them for doing that and getting it as earlier as they do. Searching for Event triggers and the update number will usually bring them up in the search bar https://f95zone.to/threads/lessons-in-love-v0-51-0-selebus.48158/post-17701461

There are like 5 events that require calling or going somewhere to meet the girl who's event it is. And 5 automatic chain starts, where you need to have the right day. I was able to get like 10+ events in before I saw the trigger post, So you may be able to blindly get through if you don't want to use the trigger post.

I'm in the middle of Chapter 4, and I can assure you that Sensei hasn’t grown much as a person at all and he’s still unbearable as hell. At this point, I don't even care if Sensei loves Niki or who he loves anymore. I just want Niki, Ayane, or any of the girls in the game to get their happy ending, even if it's without being with Sensei.

There's a search bar at the top

If it's a patch you want you can also just roll the pages back to the first of every month and flick through, it always drops on the 1st. Anyway, this was the update patch but I dunno if it still works, it says it's empty for me

It doesnt work but thx anyways. Time to redownload the whole game
