Ami has made a billion off hand comments that she is aware of the resets and you can even see (i think its her) wearing Sekai's dress in one of the resets on the roof.
Idk if there's two Ami's or not but whoever we have definitely knows of them.

Lots of comments about it, an ability to not loop her words when its brought up, almost straight up admitting to it in the red route Nodoka threesome scene, the aforementioned dress image, intentionally triggering a reset, fucking with Maya in a reset.

Like it's not really debatable at this point.

It did start getting confusing after a while who you meant by Ami2. I don't recall Himawari specifically mentioning resets before this update but she made at least one passing remark about them before talking about the factory reset.

And Ami has explicitly talked about the resets only after the Maya torture. Before then it was a bunch of other things instead. At the start of that halloween chain she's even asking Maya a bunch of questions that sounded like she had just gotten there and was trying to find out for herself where in time she was, even though it was framed as trying to pry information out of Maya and that Maya lies a lot.

The Sekai dress seems to be Sekai rather than someone else wearing it, if only because it doesn't look weird like I'd imagine it would if it was someone else wearing it.

I’ve been following it for many years, but the direction the game has taken really disappointed me... the only reason I’m still around is because I got too attached to the characters and can’t bring myself to say goodbye to them lol

Same. And it still hasn't disappointed me don't think it will unless it pulls some Star vs. bullshit. At least for me, it'll always be one of the visual novels of all time.

Tho what if the ending is just a loop that sends us all the way back to chapter 1? The school in the sinkhole is rebuilt and everyone is returned to their respective classes, the rest of the cast loses their memories, Nu Maya becomes Maya Prime and we start all over again.

How do you think the story ends?

I'm still hoping the parts I don't like about the game are chapter 4 exclusive, and that chapter 4 ends with Prime coming back. Timing wise it could easily line up, and then we'd still have a chapter to wrap things up like what were the tutoring days like, and dealing with the consequences of prime coming back.

There is a non zero possibility that a true playthrough needs you to be a good uncle until you reach the ending where it loops, and then you have to go bad uncle, and there could be extra dialogue spread through the game again for doing so.

But there's other things he could do too. I can think of a way where you would have to use replays to get through a reset puzzle.

I mean, obviously at this point it's whatever Selebus decides to retcon, but if we go back to the explanation of what the wishing well is, it's more likely that it connects you to a reality where what you want is true, rather than actually creating something out of nowhere.

Oh, and then Nozumu beated and abused Sekai too. He probably sodomized child Akira from some of the inkling we have. So that's twice a good job. So Nozumu was kind of a karma enforcer to each Arakawa. And he's completely a good father to Ami who unfortunately never learned to appreciate any amount of normalcy due to her mother. If you are taking the path of "I, as a reader, got satisfaction from seeing Akira suffering great abuse in his past, and see this as an emotional release for me, the reader, after having seen him destroy a lot of lives in the narrative i'm reading" then sure. I don't feel that way, but to each their own.

But your argument in relation to the story and its themes makes zero sense. This would be like saying that Io deserved to be raped by her mother because 15 years later she'll be so fucked up by the experience that she'll pull a gun and kill her entire class.

Where were Saki and Yuu? Was Nozomu Akira's guardian? I'm not really satisfied with the current known information and thus generally refrain from looking too much into it for now.

First, I must acknowledge you're fully correct and I did get caught up in the moment here. I really got angry at what happened in game and I must apologize to anyone feeling uncomfortable with my saying. I will mark spoilers for all of them. If you're all want, I could delete them as well. I just really want to have a friendly conversation with everyone here and suddenly I become the Enemy of the people...

And to anyone saying I'm a crusader or something. Okay, fine. I just think you guys are taking it too literally and I don't even know how to explain. The point I want to say is always that man shouldn't let their past dictate them. And I think it's poetic to point out even the worst would be a victim at any moment. When I grew up in my homecountry, things were not fine either. And my teachers forced a lot of (not sexual, that of verbal attack) traumas upon me. Without anyone to help me, I grew out of it myself and really tried to be better person than them. But now I know that I don't have right to critize or feel or gloat anyone even if the opponent was a fictional character structing in hell and actively seeking for hurt of others for thousands of years. I swear I never said anything like that to anyone. I know some of my tempting thoughts are even more twisted (I think you will misunderstand again and it's not what you'd think) and I will not fall into them. I never said I'm a perfect person. We all have darkness inside and I'm not ashamed to acknowledge this. I think Io is another thing. She never tried to let anyone else suffer like her and tried to cope with her problems with all helps she could get. She failed but she hasn't given up yet. I appreciate that and thank Selebus for giving us opportunities to give her some actual love.

Please ignore any spelling mistakes here since I can't think about that. I hate feelings that everyone disagreed with me. And about Niki. I argue with you there are too many inconsistences here although I could accept a certain amount of them for aesthetics reasons, I will not argue further.
