Having finished the update fully now I also feel like crying.
More than anything, though, I feel vindicated. There can be no question - Ayane is truly, objectively, best girl.

Finally, I thought it was an amazing update that really needed to happen. I have been questioning Selebus writing on multiple fronts for a while now, and it was a good decision to stop creating more bullshit and actually ground the story with a lot of lore drops.
It was also incredibly wholesome and to give both Akira and the player a notion of who he will become, including loving his daughter in a healthy way, and actively rejecting cheating on his wife is also very welcomed. On its own, a 9/10 update (Himawari is amazing), but against the quality of chapter 4, 10/10. Good work, Selebus.

Other than she saying she isn't, and having a past of her own, Himawari created a pocket universe through her wish. Which is something wishes can't do, which is why Maya's world gathered so much attention from everyone. If Himawari was the same, then Maya wouldn't be an anomaly and Shiori wouldn't take Himawari creating a pocket dimension as something ordinary.
She is also canonically the real waifu.

Yeah, and as a result she's viewed as this disgusting and dangerous abomination who they don't even want knowledge of leaking out about. Wouldn't really make sense for her to be viewed that way whilst they casually employ Himawari.
Plus she wouldn't have to worry about her parents getting together to make her if she was Ayane's wish, it throws the need for her conception out the window entirely.
Assuming Ayane's wish isn't a thing that somehow comes into play later and since wishing for a world seems to give it to some other you who gets to reap the benefits she'd probably have used it when her mum left I think.

Here's Yumi cosplaying as Shiori. This took me significantly less time to do than what I expected. (The HDR on my laptop is brightening my screenshots for some reason) And I'm to tired to actually put this into a render.
I'm also linking the character card if anybody wants to do anything with it. So have fun rendering or gooning to goth Yumi. Whatever floats the ole' horny boat.
