I like this game, but I would like it better if in the sharing route Ari would include the MC more in her escapades, and do things in front of him instead of doing all behind his back... To me the sharing route feels almost the same as the ntr route, I don't feel Ari and the MC acting together as a team, only Ari doing whatever she wants behind his back and never being considerate with the MC.

Ari is starting to include the mc more recently. She was hesitant at first but she's starting to realise he loves seeing it in person, I think anyway.

As much as I share the praise for the NTS routes and have already done so above, I have also to be honest that I was disappointed with the updated NTR route, and I hope, some constructive criticism is welcome, because I very much wanted to like it. Of course these are all completely subjective thoughts.
It is, put simply, too much, overkill, non stop more of the same. Ari is just mechanically fucking everyone left and right. My problem here is not a moral one, I'm all for a well designed cheating story, I'm all for her giving the boyfriend a hard or very hard time. But the problem is, that it is just in no way motivated storywise or characterwise. It's just not plausible. I simply don't buy the trope of the nymphomaniac who has compulsively to jump onto the next dick just because it comes in view - that's just lazy writing, very much in contrast to the NTS route. The game offers no other explanation and resembles therin the clichees of games of far lower quality. One cannot tell a convincing story or build up tension by saying at every point: well she is horny again and thinks about nothing else. Seeing a new cock is no plotpoint. Even males who in contrast function on testosterone and visual stimuli, do not act that way. The same goes for the boyfriend who now becomes a fullblown idiot who like in those other games doesn't get it what goes on before his very eyes, who just falls conveniently asleep and keeps whining if he should tell her to stop.
This has to consequences: 1. Ari becomes deeply unlikeable and alien (and that destroys her erotic impact regardless of her beauty), and this is a shame, a feeling I just couldn't supress the more I played the update. And this is not because she acts immorally but because this is unmotivated and erratic, random. Therefore her behavior towards the boyfriend becomes pure unmotivated malice, she is simply screwing him over, not out of necessity or emotion or a dilemma, just because there is another guy in the next room who she hasn't fucked yet. 2. Everything becomes repetitive. Edward is an exact duplicate of Joseph, Alice is a parallel to Ari. Why then doing this again this update? The same cocks, the same type of girl. It gets almost comical, like a sexual screwball comedy of grotesque random situations when everybody fucks with everybody. No erotic tension anymore. I guess in porn it is by far better to let the girl do different and more and more depraved things with the same man, than alway the same things with a series of different men.

So the problem lies deeper than Ari being a slut or a whore (what guys here stated earlier and I defended her morally complex greyzone on the NTS route against). I would welcome her as a slut in this route, but one has to understand how and why.

I guess I'm just frustrated because the visuals, the style is all very beautiful and sexy, I like the variation in perspectives and positions, and all that could have been used better in my subjective opinion (the kiss between Ari and Alice was the best moment in this regard). I have to stress that this is not a matter of NTS or NTR, the latter can be written in a complex nuanced way, too. But in order to do that she has to be embedded in forces and bonds with other people who influence her. For example why doesn't Tyrone demand her cheating, demands more, develops and stimulates emotions? Instead he is a human dildo without intentions, without much agency. Sometimes I think, the well-meaning tendency to write characters like Ari as totally unattached, unforced, autonomous entities, who make decisions completely self-determined (which is unrealistic), creates a vacuum, and that is then filled by bland horniness or lust which is seen as emancipatory.

On a lighter side note, i just now realized with all the action, that there is a striking and amusing imbalance of shown cocks vs shown pussies (very rarely) in the game. I wont complain; there are always the beautifully animated boobs.

While I disagree with your opinion, I really appreciate that you give it in such a deep way, analizying what you didn't like and explaining it and all... I appreciate that and I love when people share their opinions like this. I absolutely can use something like this to think about changing something, or doing things in a different way or thinking maybe "am I doing the right thing?"

I had a question (a long time ago) and I really want to get an answer to it: why do you like the NTR genre?
Personally, it brings me only pain and sadness, from the realization that many of these things can happen in real life (cheating for sure). And also the fear that this will happen to me.
There are games where you control a girl, and the guy there is either an asshole or he is somewhere and the heroine almost never talks about him - I can play such games because you do not associate yourself with the main character. But damn, in games like these... I almost always project the hero onto myself and live through his pain and experiences.
How do you manage to avoid this? What do you feel?

killerkrog I really can not understand why people are insisting on inserting themselves into a porn game. Are you identifying yourself with your player character when you are playing Call of Duty? Counter-Strike? Fallout? Silent Hill? Resident Evil? And in the case you don't do that, why in a porn game? When I'm playing Stalker, I'm not Strelok, the main character, not the Courier in Fallout NV, and of course I am not the main character in a porn game, even more not in an NTR game.
And why do I play games with NTR? I just love to see some unlucky guy getting even more unlucky, when it gets clear to him, that his gf/wife/roommate is getting laid by some other guy. I wouldn't do it myself, but there are tons of people outside and in this forum, who do this to immerse themselves. I think it'S totally legitimate and logical with this genre. And think of all the VR porn stuff which functions like that. You could as well give the question back and ask: why should people watch others having sex as an observer? This needs as much an explanation as that. Just watching losers and feeling better gets boring quickly as well, so I take what you say with a grain of salt.
I wrote a few posts above about this in general because I'm interested in the differing positions and preferences concerning the use of these games and the psychology behind it.
Concerning harem I personally tend to agree but making execeptions depending on the quality of the sex scenes and the sexiness of the girls.

On an even more serious note: I have, not solely, but also, the same feelings you describe and find it totally understandable as part of an immediate reaction. The better an NTS game the more I find that to be the case, therefore that is not off-topic here. Often I could literally tear my hair out and want to confront the characters, ask them: how can you tolerate that /do that?
