I haven't done a fire with a firebow but I have with the bottom of a broken bottle (isn't too hard depending on the glass) and using a battery and steelwool (can, of course also just use a wire and battery to spark but the steelwool is most effective). Honestly poking a hole in a lithium battery is probaboy the worst way to actually do this.

Yeah the battery and steel wool trick is pretty neat. If you were to use a lithium battery that would be the better way to go. Find some thin foil or use underwire from one of the bras in the suitcase to create a fire.

Puncturing a lithium battery is basically making a bomb and lithium battery can't be easily extinguished, the fire has to burn itself out. UTube has a some videos of this happening.

I think we keep playing this game for two major reasons, 1. hoping the dev will fix this game's flaws to create the decent game it could become, and 2. its kinda like looking at a car wreck, you know its gonna be bad but you do it anyway.

I gave up hope of incest porn here anytime soon. To be fair Patreon may be to blame for that and not necessarily the dev.

Yeah, it's hard, because there is no add dry wood option after clear everything and add rocks! I tried it 20 times.

) inside that plastic case. This means, they could have ignited at least 4, maybe 6 big fires really-really fast (in case they needed to light a fire to make themselves visible). But they also could have used the energy in the battery or separate cells to light a lot more fires than that, possibly a few hundred times or even more by using a wire to make electrical sparks, light a small alcohol-soaked rag with the sparks, then hale and so on to make a small fire with just a little more effort than poking a hole in the battery.
Not to mention that making a fire bow drill would have made sense even before they found the laptop.
So, basically, they have been extremely dumb and helpless right from the start.

I think one of the problems is that many of us playing this game appear to know more about building fires (and survival in general) than the dev. This wouldn't be an issue IF the game didn't take place on a tiny atoll where basic survival skills are necessary.
Or dad and hot bratty daughter could be on an island where basic survival skills were not essential. All that was needed was a better stocked hut.
But if the dev. wanted to use "the fight for survival" as a natural antagonist he should've at least taken 50 minutes out of his life and watch a Survivor Man episode where the host survives for a week on a deserted island.
