IF someone wants to tell a visual novel through rpgmaker, make the whole walking part minor. You don't have to add 10 maps and force the player to travel those all the time for the sole purpose to get from point A to point B. Rpgmaker isn't made for that. Its made for questing, to talk with those random little npc's to have little dialogues with them and most importantly.. for random encounters. Its a classic rpg engine, Final Fantasy in mind first and foremost.RPGM should be made illegal
Yup, too many RPGmaker games are just get to this place several screens over, then back, then over several screens another way, etc. Oh you can talk to the NPCs, but usually they're without even a portrait and nothing lewd will happen.
