This has the potential to be a decent game. Several key things are holding it back though.
First is the fact that there is little in game guidance. You have the objectives listed in the phone, but no hints or clues at how to achieve them. If you are going to have a sandbox with multiple time slots and numerous locations you can't expect folks to wander aimlessly.
That actually leads directly into the second thing. Your schedules suck ass. No simple way around that. Having events end at the end of the weekend on midnight and then don't kick back off until the next weekend is just horrid. Maybe a tooltip on buildings indicating the open hours and a visible schedule we can find for the people. Some have them have very narrow windows of availability.
Grind is grind, but you seem to want to lay it on thick for no purpose. You will lose prospective players right off the top by being a sandbox. If you keep it this tedious you are going to further impact your player base.
