Why is windowed not an option?

I don't know but you can use the file attached to force windowed mode (extract it to the main folder). I'm using it and it seems everything ok so far. Don't resize/maximize the window, though.

As someone already said, the dev is very active and he usually delivers, so I'd say you shouldn't worry about it.

The one negative is that workload is 3 different games. Maybe it's just a too much work on one thing would kill the inspiration so diversity of projects are needed.
