When the game started going viral, the guy became very xenophobic and started to start other projects (also unfinished) and I really don't expect anything, but if he adds content in about 3 years he probably won't even be around anymore.

a lot of people played it to the point it became a meme for those that frequent these parts of the internet, spawning among others the term "head pat slut", but i'm reasonably sure not many bought it even when it was on discount.
while japanese are more xenophobic by default, i dont see it as freakilycharming's fault they became bitter.
I think he's the first one I've seen who behaves that way and well I guess he has a point but if you look closely at his blog you can see that he spits a lot of venom.

I can't remember if it was on sale or not, but I bought this game years ago because I enjoyed it so much. I do wish I could enjoy the stuff released since then, but given the translations are fan-translations, I just have to wait for them to progress.
Speaking of which, are people still translating this game? As far as I know the fan-translations are really behind, and given I haven't kept an eye on this game since back then I have no idea whether people are still working on them or not.

im on v 4.06 and it seems that whenever i go out to town, the only options I have are to rest, talk to her or eat lunch, how do I unlock the other stuff?

The café and restaurant are only open in the afternoon. You also need to earn her trust so she’ll want to go out with you and enjoy it.

might be the game predates the advent of reconstructive chirugy, with her former owner being some sort of noble and the doctor's house being rather rustic.

Is there a version of the game with the more "bold" artstyle for Sylvie with the dark hair shown in some of the screenshots in the OP? I've tried all three available version numbers but they all have the light haired Sylvie drawn with softer lines.
