Interesting game. It might be worth looking at adding some kind of indicator when this "power" is working, even if it is a subtle one, as right now you can probably cut out the dream sequence thing with the host at the start entirely and not have to change much else in the story. But that might be more of a future thing.
I'm not sure what to do on the screens where it's just Chloe looking at you? Is there supposed to be something before you click on in the story beyond clicking on her to make her flinch?
As a minor note, changing her reaction there depending on her "stats" could be a nice little touch. Submissiveness, Lust, Love, and Boldness would all imply different reactions to what I assume is supposed to be getting groped.
I'd recommend adding some level of player agency in figuring out who you interact with for the non-Chole girls. It being random, as it appears now, can be frustrating for players. I get these are supposed to be chance encounters, but you typically want to maximize player agency in games like this. Something as simple as "Go to the store" or "Go to the train station" might be worth doing.
Something I recommend for pretty much all corruption-based games is to add some level of interaction between the people being corrupted and someone other than the MC. Chloe talking with Kim about how things are going living with the MC, and Chloe's reactions (and possibly Kim's reactions) can help sell the corruption narrative, especially if it can be compared to what they were like beforehand somehow.
Overall, this was promising.

I’ll definitely take some of these ideas with me to the drawing board, you’re spot-on. I’m glad to have some extra perspectives to compare my vision with, and I think we align on the overall idea (which makes me really happy).

This is mostly a passion project and I'm really excited to have some extra people with me watching it come to life. I don't know if it'll be perfect, (probably not, obviously) but I'll do my best to stay true to everyone expectations.

To add to the above, I wouldn't mind seeing some indication of mind control/corruption working as well. A woman maybe having what starts as her "normal" response to something and then the control kicks in and what not. It was the one thing about the demo that wasn't satisfying enough for me, which otherwise was incredibly good. But I see you've got a road map, so that's good.

I also wouldn't mind different paths of control/corruption. There's a wide variety of mind control tropes out there, from the obedient doll, to mindlessly blissed out, to loss of body control and more. Being able to, once you get your hooks in, focus on a specific type of control based on the stats would be very cool to see.

Really like the idea of friends noticing changes in their friend, maybe before they even notice it in themselves. Serial recruitment could be a nice by product of that as well. Stuff like a woman would never let her guard down enough around MC to allow the power to work, but she would around her trusted friend, not realizing her friend is betraying her to MC.

Overall though, I really enjoyed the demo, so don't feel like you gotta compromise what you've got going for any of this.

I assume the corruption here is some form of "make them horny and bolder when the MC is nearby", at least for now.

Honestly, if you wanted to do a version of the latter idea here, having one of Chloe's friends notice the change, demand to meet with "this creep", and end up getting ensnared herself somehow, would be interesting to see. Alternatively, it could easily be Chloe's parents/mother in that role, if the Dev wants to include them in the story somehow.

My Best Deal and Lustful Sin changes the color of the women's eyes, Symphony of the Void has very clear moments when the power is turned on versus not (and even variants of the power that you can choose to activate or not to change scenes, giving you that satisfying click and know its working), etc.

A lot of ways to indicate it, I was just throwing out random ideas. My Best Deal and Lustful Sin changes the color of the women's eyes, Symphony of the Void has very clear moments when the power is turned on versus not (and even variants of the power that you can choose to activate or not to change scenes, giving you that satisfying click and know its working), etc.
Changing the color of the text in their dialouge, changing the lighting of the room, or even just a faint pink glow around the edges of the screen are other ways I've seen it work too.

Announcements:

Progress reports will be released on the 1st and 15th of each month from now on.

Expect some bonus pinups for the holidays.

The next pinup set voting poll will start on December 20th and conclude on January 1st.

Summary:

Most of the game systems are done. Some need a little polish, but that will happen after the next update. The main focus right now is advancing the story and adding more content to the game. The next update should come out in late January / early February, with at least twice the amount of content included in version 0.8.

  • The first version of the gallery is already implemented.
  • The foundation for the clothing system is in place (portraits now update dynamically instead of being hardcoded into scenes).
  • I’m working on an antagonist system where someone appears during the story to hinder your progress. The idea is to leave the door open for multiple antagonists in the future (all of them female).
  • I’ve introduced some new characters into the story.
  • There has been progress in the story, along with some additional events.

Happy new year!
I've added a FAQ section to the Developer Notes in this thread. Now the updates:

What a ride huh!? Here's the first report of the year:
I've added a training system for Chloe, the player can now target specific stats to rise.
Introduced working and living expenses, now there's a way to lose the game.
Kim received some extra events.
There's been progress on the antagonist system.
Added 36 new portrait for the girls to use in the different events.
Chloe received her first new costume.

Most of the work done (except for the portraits) has to do with events writing and new mechanics, I plan to keep at it until mid January and then start to add new images, things are going smoothly, but there's some extra plans that I might not get in time for our next release (planned for mid February on Patreon and mid March on F95). For that, next version will most probably be Alpha 0.9 and not the full demo.

Here are the features that are highly likely to be delayed.
Visiting other girls.
Targeting a specific girl events when advancing time.
Adding the possibility to use different kinds of Hypnosis.
Adding an icon system to the choices you can take, instead of colors to know what stat is each choice linked to.

This is a big feature that I want to squeeze in but might not get it in time:
❓ Adding Live2D style reactions to Chloe when interacting with her in the daily menu.
(basically, I want to replace her idle image and flinching reactions with animated ones, also the plan is to add new reactions that depend on her stats)

Finally I'm working on a 10 pinups set of Chloe that will soon release, on Patreon and Pixiv, I'll remember to announce it on F95 too when it's ready.
