Not that I don't appreciate that this is as good as this kinds of renders get and that there's still a fan base for the style but I'm wondering if it may be feasible to use some new automatic tool to make it look... more modern, like whatever was used in the original Goblin's Pet

If it looks too good, Steam will not accept publishing it. A few recent games have been burnt by that issue.

Its Alpha 0.8, then comes the full Demo, after that Beta releases, after that the full game.

(We're a loooong way before the real 1.0)

I would have chosen version 0.0.x (so 0.0.8 here) rather than a confusing 0.8, even if "alpha" is added to it, you can then move to 0.x.x for beta releases, and of course x.x.x for full game. It helps properly manage people's expectations without them having to read too much, and it also means simpler to code version comparison in your code base, should you ever need it.

The "Next Day" interface could be designed better too. Other than that I think it's a good start will keep a looksie for more updates.

IIRC the issue is if it either looks too photo-realistic or too close to a recognizable artist's work. Deep fake porn is a criminal offense in some states, and between that and bog standard civil liabilities I imagine Valve would rather avoid it all.

I know people don't like AI art- I don't either- but actually articulate why you dislike it. The only flaw I can find is that the AI doesn't seem to understand that the characters are sitting on a rug and proceeded to make the rug look like her hair. But most people aren't playing a porn game for the artistic fidelity and expression, and most eroge teams are incredibly small and have no budget. This is an extremely easy method of making the visuals punch above their weight class and me thinks no one is downloading "Goblin's Pet" for it's deep artistic merit.

The problem with Ai is that it often try to produce the "perfect" art so it tends to overcorrect, polish and fix the image and video where a human artist would try to preserve his own style and coherence first. This ends making every AI generated image looks pretty much the same, like if I asked 10 different AI to generate me a brunette characters, it would end up looking the same or similar the the character in the image you provided.
I don't mind AI as a tool to help an artist or to generate a sample image that an artist would then edit.
That's what I think.

ah, so the free version is going to be censored. imo this isn't going to get you more supporters, the game has too little to offer for that. I would rethink that decision if I were you.
I think that currently you just need to get as many people playing the game and spreading the word as possible and pay-walling it is not going to help with that.

The game will always be free, patrons get the updates 1 month early.

First, i like your long long maaaaaaaaaan as your icon, absolutely hysterical. second, I agree with you, if you dont like something, then please explain why. I myself am not a fan of AI work either but there are some that are decent and works with that the dev is trying to come across. Personally, I am not a fan since it seems to be overused before its fleshed out enough to be used. AI also, like you said doesnt understand the context of the art. It also, for the most part, feels like it kind of is a cop out, though, i can understand alot of ppl using them since not everyone are artists. I have found some games that the art does seem like it was done by an amateur but I still enjoyed the game none the less. I believe that if you are going to use AI for the initial art, then it needs to be used throughout the game, otherwise, it might seem like you are getting a game with the graphics like COD but the actual game looks like 007 goldeneye from the N64 days. Yes, that is an extreme example but you get the point. One such game is Last Hope. Wonderful game, loved it from when it started development to finish product but the banner is completely different than what the models in the game look like. Still, great game and ppl should definitely check it out, "Last Hope"

Now for my 2 cents, definitely has good potential. I do like the fact that there is animation and the models look great. Only addition I would like to add is hopefully, at some point, would like to see voice added. Not having anyone read a script but moans in certain scenes. I know you can get ASMR moans and add it. I'll leave that up to the dev to decide but that is something I would like to see, well, hear lol. So far though, looks good and would like to see what the dev has in store in the future.
