Like cxx write, the game is on hold for the time being.
The dev is currently completing a Ph.D. in physics!
So she doesn't have the time to work on the game for now.
But for what I know, she doesn't want to abandoned it and should resume to work on it when she'll get more time.

SHE couldn't fully devote time for tle so made this which req less time.

Another developer in a different thread explained that when you spend months or years dedicated to a story, you end up feeling discouraged or experiencing writer's block. Many developers move on to another story so that, over time, they can return to the previous game with more creativity.

It's not the reason why the games are on hold.

I don't quite remember the subject, but I think it's in thermodynamics.
So, she has over things to think about that her games for the moment.

18 months since last update came up recently and mods rely on users reports partially.

Well, I don't personally know the dev.
But she was always honest on Patreon when there will be unexpected delays or she won't be able to work on her games from sometime, notifying us that we should stop payment for a while.
And when it became clear that she wouldn't be able to work on her games during her PhD, she decided to close her Patreon so no one would be at risk to be charged for nothing.
So, I don't see why she would lie on the reason for putting the games on hold.
