Does events only trigger when you are active doing things, and less likely or not happen when you are just advancing time doing nothing? Just an impression I got.
Also what is the reasoning behind a NPC like or hate something when you hangout? You can go to the bathroom, take a bath etc and they like it, but if you go for a meal they hate it?
Will there be more "date" spesific events? Like, when you hangout, and take them to a pub drinking, gambling, to the movies etc?
A nurse profession as job, could give room for lot of lewd and interesting situations -)
Yeah events only trigger when you're doing stuffs. The only exception is the pregnancy events.
NPC preferences for activities are just random. When each NPC is generated, they will like a random 50% of all activities in the game and dislike the rest. I'm open to suggestions as to how to make this better though.
I agree there could and probably should be more date related events. I'll add a few more in the next version.
this is a pretty good game and i am excited to see where this goes. I think the one glaring issue in this is the way the clothes fit on the models. everyone looks as if they are huge then when they are naked they are normal. this is more a quality of life thing then necessary though.
Yeah, I made the clothes loose fitting as a cheap way to avoid clipping issues. Admittedly, I kinda went over the top a bit.
The character models will probably get an upgrade at some point (either when Manuel Bastioni releases his new free models or if I raise enough fund from Patreon to just hire a professional 3d modeler to do it) and then the clothes will need to be 'refitted' - I'll try my best to make better fits then
Is there a way to approach NPCs partners or am I missing something? They introduce me their wifes or husbands but can't really get in touch with them through contacts list. Do I need a certain event?
Yeah, it's supposed to be like that. IRL, you can't really just straight up ask someone's wife's number in front of the husband ...
However, you can get their number through:
- That random event where you pump into someone you've met but not exchanged numbers yet (higher interpersonal triggers this more often)
- There are many special events (like when the boss asks you to deliver documents to their home) where you will meet the introduced Npcs again
- For your significant other's relatives, you can ask for their contacts right away when first met
I'll add a few more scenes in the next version that lead to you obtaining these introduced NPCs' contact. Something like stalking on Facebook to find the person. I can also just add a cheat button in the contacts menu to give you everyone's numbers.
For now, if you want to cheat, you can just type in meet_old_person in the console (~# or the button under Esc) to trigger the random event mentioned above. Rinse and repeat until you got everyone's numbers.
Nah, its wasn't me, I did ask regarding the pregnancy issue. Didn't notice the time skip, but if theres a possible way to skip to a specific date instead? Aight its great the polyamorous relationship is going to be added. Btw, will there a way where ya partner will able for sex or other particular activity once they move in/move out? Cuz it feels odd to ask them out via contacts then end the date for it.
I'll add the function 'waituntil
specificdate' in the next version. However, with 'wait', you can wait as many hours as you like. So use 'wait 8760' will skip ahead one year for example.
Good point about asking your live-in partner for sex - I'll add this in the next version
Are you planning on adding some "color" to the map's sometime in the future?
Thanks for updates.
Not in the foreseeable future, I'm afraid. The reason for this is the maps are already 'pre-generated' and packaged in the game's files exactly how you see them in the game. This is important for performance's purpose (the maps are so huge that anything other than simple polygons with simple color would take a monster PC to run, or a very sophisticated optimization system to be coded in). Recoloring them would require me to go through all the maps and regenerate them all.
In a long-term future though, once other graphic-related priorities (i.e. character models) have been sorted out, then maybe the graphical appeal for the map could be look at. I'd love to see proper 3d models of buildings, trees and rivers for the game so that a real city appears in front of you (like SimCity or something) - but that's just a dream for now.
