I don't touch pregnancy. I even have the vin_pregnancy mod disabled here ;)
Other bugs probably need re reporting on discord.
Reminds me, in PornEmpire, nothing seems to actually apply except for hiring models and cam models. And attempts to review performance *always* result in the 24 hours must pass notice.

You can do shoots, and it'll cost you money, and you can upload them, and start your site, but no profit ever seems to come in.

You can do the renting of an office, and it'll charge you, but you'll never get the office. You can hire cam/assist/admin, and it'll charge you, but they're never actually hired.

Hello guys, I have a problem with the names. I have created a list of Korean Male and Female names in a text file. When I replace the existing names_F.txt and names_M.txt with these files, every NPC is spawned with the entire name list as their first name.

Also, I'm using Linux.
Another weird quirk is that when I edit the original names list with all the "Enter" (newline) keys replaced manually by me, the NPCs all choose the first name in the list as their first name.

Any fixes?

Yeah use a text editor that supports Windows Line Endings.
Don't ask me for one. I don't know which one on linux supports it as there is a gazillion of them.

All LifePlay files need Windows Line Endings (CRLF). Not LF and nor CR.

what...the...hell...HELP!!! i'm the 1st to admit i dunno much when it comes to computers, but i've played over 50 VNs the last few years, n NONE OF THEM involved what's going on w/this game when i'm trying to get set up to play it. every other game i've downloaded from here, u just open the zip file, n there's a master file you extract to the desktop, then that single icon appears, you open it, n after applying any mods/patches thru either copy-n-paste or dragging, double-click the ".exe" file n start playing...easy enuff.

this game didn't have a master file when i opened the zip file...there's a whole crapload of stuff there that i've never seen before when downloading a game. so i just chose to extract it from the list of WinRAR files, n BAM!!! i've got like 15 icons popping up on my desktop!! n i have NO IDEA what to do in order to actually even find the folder to start the game, let alone where to put patches n mods.

i don't wanna take up a bunch of posts here in the thread, n waste ppl's time that already know this stuff. but if someone who knows what to do can PLEASE pvt msg me, i'm in dire need of someone holding my hand n doing a step-by-step tutorial on actually getting this freaking thing setup n started...thanks!

UPDATE: ok ok ok...i think i'm getting a handle on things after taking a step back n looking at what all that crap actually was. so please correct me if i'm wrong, but in those 16 desktop icons, there was a file labeled "LifePlay", n so i dragged all those other icons into that folder, which is how i'm guessing it should've been organized in the 1st place. because i was still confused i couldn't find the ".exe" application in any of those things, until i saw the icon w/the "LifePlay" graphic with the green circle; so i put that in the folder also, n then saw that was actually the ".exe" application i was looking for.

SO...now everything on the desktop is back to being neat-n-tidy, w/all those things in 1 file, like all the other games i've downloaded, including the .exe application to actually start n play the game. if i've done something wrong, please lemme know; OTHERWISE...i haven't been able to find anything that says where/what file to put the patch n mods into yet; but i'm still clicking links n reading stuff, hoping i'll stumble across something that makes sense, where even an idiot like me can figure it out n do it. but until then...help would still be appreciated so i don't fuck anything up

Extract the content of the archive into a new folder then find the executable "LifePlay.exe" (without quotes) inside that new folder and either double click it or create a shortcut on your desktop if you don't want to navigate inside the folder again.

Also that's not a vn but a life simulator of sort. A home and a work are a good begining.

thx! so i'm guessing i wound up doing this after all, just took the long way to get there...as long as all the stuff is in 1 file, i'm assuming it's the same thing in the end. so how do i apply the update? b/c that zip file also has all that extra crap again, along with the .exe file...do i just overwrite all previous existing stuff?

NEVER MIND...see how dumb i am? the update IS v3.19, n the link is for older versions of the game. it helps to actually process things i read instead of going thru the motions of point/click/open/drag/merge. now, about this patch...WHERE is the "/game/" folder the patch is supposed to go in?

Yep extract in the same folder and overwrite everything that needs it.

again...i'm SOOO sorry for being this IT illiterate, but i've read the instructions on how to apply NickNo 's mod a half-dozen times, but like before, this is different than any other mod i've done (n usually all from mega.nz). so do i download all 3 links from his github link, n put them all in the same folder as the .exe application?

UPDATE: MAKING PROGRESS...i actually got the game to start n load this time; apparently having a folder already named "LifePlay" inside a newly created folder also called "LifePlay" wound up having files in the wrong subfolder. so i went back to how stuff was arranged in the zip folder, n used that as a template to rearrange the files in the same order as the zip file (had to rename the top folder, of course).

so i tried, really i did...but this is what's still happening with NickNo 's mod when i tried doing it on my own:

mod problem 1.png

so i'm still getting that, but at least something showed up in the mod itself this time when it opened:
mod problem 2.png

but that's not nearly the list shown in the screen captures in his thread on how to use this...so i'm still doing something wrong, b/c there's supposed to be a whole crapload of possible mods to install on the left side of this thing, right? i'm thinking it has something to do with those "LP-ModManager-1.4.2" file links from his github page...

so apparently those 2 links under the .exe app link from NickNo 's github page have to go somewhere else in order for this to work...but where??? UPDATE: after looking at each of them, i now realize they have the same files/contents...n thx 2 google, now i know that a "tar.gz" file is for use with linux OS's; that may have been something us neanderthals would've needed 2 know...could've just put "WIN" n "LNX" in the file names, just sayin'...n WHERE does it go??? (sorry if i seem a BIT testy, but i've spent the better part of the last 4-5 hours trying to figure this crap out, just so i can have something new to fap to...getting really close 2 the point where the juice 'aint worth the squeeze)

As promised I want to share the LifePlay Launcher / Mod Manager with you.
It is a stand alone launcher (32/64 Bit .NET) for LifePlay. Just put it next to the LifePlay.exe in your game directory.
It can install, update and manage LifePlay modules and addons like character and room presets.

See screens for more...

(u would think this would be something mentioned in the "read me" txt file, or a screenshot showing the correct directory...but noooooo...) UPDATE: ok, so google tells me that a "tar.gz" file is for Linux OS's...THAT might've been good 2 know for us neanderthals who don't use linux; still need 2 know where 2 put that file tho

You don't need the 2nd file. You only need the LPLauncher.exe. The 2nd file is just the underlying code for the mod manager in case you want to inspect it or make changes to it.

You might want to edit that link in your post, since it's actually pointing at releases tagged 1.4.2 instead of latest. I also wanted to know if sorting the modules in the installed list of the launcher is how you're meant to set their loading priority order: I kind of hope it's not, as I've noticed that the launcher will reset the order back to mostly alphabetical sorting (I think? I just notice that Rizean's patches end up above sexybastardo's a lot of the time) every time the list gets refreshed, be it on startup, manually, or from installing/deleting a mod. Actually, I've noticed that the [disabled] toggle will also go away whenever the lists refresh, which seems like it'll get annoying for anyone with a longer list of mods they like to switch on and off.

Some links in the first post are currently or sort-of broken: The post hosting devi1254's presets has apparently been deleted, the link trying to send people to Apo_Icarus's post containing their scenes should be modified into https://f95zone.to/threads/lifeplay-v3-19-vinfamy.11321/post-3465823, as the inclusion of a page number in it will break it if the threads' visible posts or a user's posts-by-page-count don't land it on the right place, and the link for MattShizzle's bedroom presets needs a similar change into https://f95zone.to/threads/lifeplay-v3-19-vinfamy.11321/post-4108559 for the same reason. Just a heads up for anyone with editing access to the OP (CLDꝜ, Vinfamy) and for whoever maintains the game's wikia.

I wish Vin would make a new post that had all the mods on. He used to but removed due to Patreon being a shit. It was the one I had bookmarked. My bedroom ones needs to be done every update (or saved to replace every update) if you intend to totally replace to originals (I do as the beds are usually too far back in default.) If you get my bedroom sets my recommendation is to extract to desktop or elsewhere to replace every update. At least until new updates stop replacing shit that's already there.
