Yeah, its better to wait for the next update while playing with the previous version.even without mods it still has the problems of crashes
I have some questions regarding the logic when writing scenes. Particularly concerning how the game engine calls them.
I believe that setting scene frequency only ties to the "timeout" function. Meaning if a scene is written as timeout(300) and the scene frequency is 10 then that scene can't be called for 30 hours. Is that correct?
Timeout for pregancy is 280 or 9 monthes give or take a few days
C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Local\LifePlayI deleted the old saves from the saves folder, but they were still listed on the game itself to load. Game still crashed.
When I deleted manually the saves on the game's list, then everything started to work fine.
Nope, no mods other than the NC one from page 1. No old saves. A fresh download and a fresh file. And whenever I go to a place with people in it the game crashes and displays a "fatal error" message. Tried both, the 32-bit and the 64-bit version. I don't think I'm the only one with these crashes. I've seen other people post about them here too.Are you using mods made for older versions? They're a likely source of errors as well.
I started playing 4.0 Stable with a new save and not loading any mods beyond the "unofficial" NonCon/Bestiality/Corruption/Incest patch (which is updated for 4.0 Stable), and played for probably 2-3 hours yesterday without a single crash.
People complaining of crashes should probably indicate if they are loading old saves or adding mods which are not yet updated or confirmed working with 4.0 Stable yet.
The release notes for 4.0 Stable even indicate that a lot of old crappy clothing was removed from the game, so any mods or saves referencing those would cause problems. Probably a bunch of other stuff removed or changed which could cause problems, too.
I have exactly the same problem. I experimented a bit and tried your reload procedure. But I only got it to work once. That one time I saved right before clicking to go to a location making the game crash. I then loaded the save up again, clicked to go to the same location again and avoided the crash. Entering a different location after that produced no problems. But then I wanted to try it again in order to test the consistency of this work around and I couldn't get it to work ever since.I also think the crashing may be related to the game attempting to call old clothes. I had no problems creating and dressing a PC and no problems creating NPCs. However, it would crash when I would 'go to location' of an NPC I created. It would load all building and objects, but as soon as the NPC would get ready to load - crash. World Generated NPCs had no issues.
I saved right before clicking 'go to location'. Then clicked it. Crash. Then loaded the game back up. Clicked it. No crash. It might just be something to do with temporary stored files that once they are over-written the game is good. Haven't had a crash for an in-game week now.
No idea if any of this is related to the crashes or just dumb luck.
