Just re-installing and starting over fresh seemed to have done the trick. Dunno-- un-zipped badly the first time? Who knows? But all works fine now.

I updated my game because I'm curious to see the penalty for keeping it in the family, but I haven't seen anything new. I do have the mod enabled. Is there anything else I have to do?
I've never messed around with the pregnancy stuff before, but I've just noticed that a baby that was recently born to 2 NPCs is now walking around as a fully grown 18 year old, even though the Child Growth Speed setting is set to 1.0. Does that setting only apply to the player's children?
I'll have to start purging these NPC children then. Gonna be weird if there's 18-19 year olds with 18 year old children.
You can edit the "age" stat to less than 18 (I typically set it to 4-40 to stop getting elderly and be able to set the kids back and age 1 year/day to fit better.)
I'm not sure I care that much about NPC babies to be honest. I think all of the child raising scenes have to do with the player's children, so one's unrelated to me I'd never even see. They're essentially just there to pad the NPC's family tree. I'm thinking I'll just let the NPCs get pregnant, but then in the birth scene I'll just make it so there isn't a new permanent child NPC added to the game.

I edited my mod so that:
1. NPC give birth to age 0 kids
2. I also created a scene to have 'most' NPC kids age 1 year.
Yeah I noticed the original birth scenes were just setting the age to 18. I wasn't sure if setting it to 0 instead would just result in the age jumping to 18 again the next day but it seems like it's staying at 0

He has missed the last 5 or so. Think the game is close to being abandoned honestly. Code is a mess, serious game breaking bugs that have lasted months.
There are only 2 releases a month rather than 3 scheduled now. Serious bugs still not being fixed though. TBH I think the kinks should be put on hold and there should be nothing BUT bug fixes until the major ones (crash on cumming for bi/lesbian women, not going back to actual location after scene, married/living together not set after getting married and requiring going through polyamorous even if not so, etc) are fixed and any bugs that come from fixing them are fixed, too. This last one has been a 2 month hopefully the bugs are fixed with it. I don't see any sign of being abandoned though.
Why doesn't NPC's age change when I skip time? And my kids won't grow up either. I jump at 18, but nothing changes. The appearance of the characters also does not change.
I just found out that when a character dies, it's game over. I thought then you can take control of your child and continue. I'm sad.

YES i prefer they fix all the shit is wrong, like getting pregnant a women then after 3 days the husband tells me to get her pregnant because he is impotent or having my own contracted whores dancing at a pole but not dancing cause they wont go in the pole, or like hacing a lot of bugs and dialogues that shouldn t happen because it's really annoying ,if the dev solves all those problems then there is no rush, just make it quick
Even after the last delay, there should have at least been the next beta release and maybe the full. No word yet from the dev and he was pretty regular until recently.

if he is i hope he can find it in himself to just polishup the base game and call it a day and move on other projects and let modders take it from there. its been years in the making and it is obvious this is a pretty much done game, besides from the bugs. and those weird irrelevant random dialogues during sex. lol
at this point having it polished is way better than adding fringe kinks. let modders take it over from there with the fringe kinks.

Alternatively, he could finally add in the desperately needed sex animations, and probably attract twice the crowd. The base non-porn game is solid, he just needs to improve the base porn game.
