Because the game when making a "new NPC" will sometime likes to grab a saved character but fails to randomize them.
Game is looking at "your preferences" or if you have a saved character.

Or the game has a hic-up and makes a copy

Something came up IRL which kept him from working on it, apparantly he's hoping for the next update to come out soon. Next update should be a pregnancy rework.

Hey gang.
I've been a bit absent lately, and I know some of you have sent me messages asking about the models I've been working on. Truth is, I haven't been working on much lately. I had some computer problems (still am, actually), and wasn't able to get much done, then I lost an aunt, and shortly after that my uncle went into end of life care. Not long after that my other uncle was diagnosed with leukemia, and has been quite unwell. Today his lungs stopped working, so he's back at the hospital. It might be a bit of time yet before I get to the jobs that have been requested.

Rest assured, once I get a chance to dig into it, I do still plan to finish all the requests I've committed to.

You'll find that this is also true of people who don't become game developers. It's called 'life', and if someone goes through it without any problems then they have been unbelievably fortunate.

Probably the dev thought the game was pure bullshit after he started making "fixes" then decided to give up, this happens when you make a game that has a lot of bugs, and instead fixing them little by little, you keep adding shit above a broken base game , such a pity this game had a lot of potential, but the dev don t gives a shit about nothing, the animations are shit, the spawn of npcs in random places where they are not supposed to be, the broken dialogues, the crashes , the fucking reset of your char out of the blue, this game has so many errors that should be destroyed tbh

If the game is so bad then why are you playing it and why do you care about if the dev is making excuses? Just walk away, play something else and your problem with this game will be instantly solved.

But let's be clear, I'm not passing comment on the dev, or trying to justify the delays, or making excuses for anything. I'm actually very eager to play the game, and I'm disappointed that something with so much potential seems to have hit the rocks. I'm merely pointing out that life brings problems to all of us, not just game developers.

Furthermore, if someone has the time and energy to even play a free porn game, let alone worry, complain and pass comments about it, then life can't be too bad for that person. I'm certainly in that category, but I fully appreciate that millions of people aren't.

It's all about perspective.

To be fair pregnancy has been incredibly broken for a very long time, and Vin kept building more and more on top of that broken code. Fixing pregnancy probably broke just about every pregnancy event, which would effectively throw months of work down the drain that he'd need to then fix. In retrospect he probably should've just taken pregnancy off of the content polls for a few months while he worked on fixing it as a side project but it is what it is.

I don't think this game is too difficult to fix. Worst case scenario is that the fix involves breaking all modules.

The community would probably help fix them if Vin was transparent and gave a guide on how to get everything back together again.

You should visit the games's discord bug-report chanel and see how many unhandled reports there.

That's only true if you've not supported the dev financially. I'd say anyone who is currently sending money is owed something, even if it's only a reassurance that their commitment isn't just going to waste.

Dude, game IS free and noone owes them anything as long as it is. Of course you can pay and complain, but in the end of the day, did they paid FOR THE GAME? Or FOR THE UPDATE? No, it’s totally free and the only thing behind the paywall is early access, and when there is nothing, they have early access to mentioned nothing. For those “early access for subscription” games there is no buy/sell relations and the only thing in the end is support for the game

'Dude', the game is free if you haven't contributed to the dev via patreon. What I'm suggesting is that those who have supported the dev and his game with their money are perhaps owed something, even if it's only a more thorough explanation as to if the game has a future.

And it's worth remembering that those who have paid into the game have actually helped it to stay 'free' and not be hidden behind the kind of paywall that you describe.
