VN - Ren'Py - Light of My Life [Ch. 1-7 v1.0.0] [Naughty Road]

In my opinion, this game has some of the best character building I've ever seen in a visual novel. This game is about a man and his two daughters still grieving over the death of his late wife. The MC also spends time dealing with the other problems his daughters have in their life. Unlike a lot of other porn games, the dead parent isn't just plot convenience. She plays an integral part in the story. She regularly appears in flashbacks and dreams. The art style is an acquired taste but not the worst I've seen. Sexual build-up with the daughters is slow but relatively realistic. The side characters are mostly comic relief. They make up the bulk of full-on sex scenes so far. This game has a lot of heart. It's worth it if you want a story-driven game. This game is about family expressing love physically. If you're looking for a quick fap or a corruption game, this game isn't it.

I felt like this could have been an amazing game but the models are scary and look like bugs. the dialogue can be a little cring at times mostly it is good. the story however is nonsensical, contrived and boring. It was a risk using ugly characters and could have been saved by the story but that to was tame. 2* is not a bad score, wanted to give 2.5* but cant. i can tell however that great effort has been put into this game. Just not for me.

I love how the Intro choices point out that this will be heavily story/text driven.
I watch these novels for the plot and character development. If I just wanted to see lots of graphic sex without an emotional buildup, I'd watch PornHub or other commercially made porn videos.
Sometimes these "family" stories get me so steamy that I DO watch porn just to empty my balls from all the excellent plot-building and sexy dialogue.

Quite fond of the story behind all the naughty bits. Also quite fond of the naughty bits, too. Honestly, this ranks up with Offcuts, imo, with the writing, and the art both being very good. Definitely a fan

Just finished Chapter 6 and ....

Holy F* this game is amazing! Great characters, fantastic story, excellent writing. So you have to be 100% OK with incest - if you're not, MOVE ON. Also the girls in the artwork aren't generic "Barbies" - but that just adds more to the game! I find the girls/artwork/interaction very erotic, so I'm a huge fan. The updates take quite awhile, but the quality speaks to the amount of time he puts into this game. I personally feel guilty enjoying a game this much without supporting it... I'm off to become a member.

great writing and unique models punctuate one of the best games on here, yes the models are a bit different but in just a few minutes you will find they steal your heart as real world characters humor abound throughout the fun romp. a definite download

this game has a marvelous story. It's intriguing and very good written because the problems you face during the game are very appealing, putting you into the shoes of the protagonist, and binds you to the narrative. Although the girls were not initially of my taste... I started to enjoy them, with their own perks and problems.

There are so little amount of good games as storywise. There are some who let you jump on "good" stuff instantly, some makes them cook a little better. This one is later. You will get stuff eventually but you have to prepare and wait for it and when you get it, it will be delicious.

Originality; it starts as one older and one younger as standart theme. But the way story progress, the way you talk are different. I may not put these things into words. But difference, it's still there.
Sounds; no voice acting of course, since it's a standart no minus point there. Most of music good, beside one imho doesn't suit those romantic scenes.
Amount of content is about what you wish from these games. Do you want long burn novel or open beat the meat and close games? For long burn it is good amount.
Story; that's the part imho game shines. I don't see games who make me smile during most time but also makes my heart ache in other times. I feel this is one of very strong side of game.
Renders; I think beside MC, renders are not similar ones you see out there, style is unique. But that doesn't mean they are bad, they are good, like standart pencils that are awesome in hands of good artists. Hell some scenes so hot that you can burn yourself or pc

This has got to be one of the best VNs I have ever seen. The quality of dialogue and story evolution is far above anything else I have seen. The emotional depth of the developing incestual relationship makes the sexual scenes so much more intense than other VNs that spend far less time portraying the true challenge of such relationships. The 3D models are really quite unique and while not showing a stereotypical beauty of highly symmetrical proportions, I found them to be very erotic in their animated movements combined with the emotional build up of the character interactions.

It's more like a romance novel than anything else. In each chapter (I'm currently on chapter 5), there's a random person that you end up having sex with in a situation that makes no sense at all. Like guys, don't fuck your coworkers on the copy machine during work hours, it's not going to end up well. I get that this is a game, but this cannot be a game that touts realism.

Anyway, the youngest daughter is a bratty little shit that is no more than 12 years old and the older one is a hormonal trainwreck around 16 or 17 tops. The interactions you have are in reaction to their constant bullshit to which the game usually offers you either "be supportive / say nothing and make sure this shit goes on". I've tried to be supportive as the game tells you that you need to be loving and caring otherwise bad things will happen.

Cons:
- At most one sex scene duct taped over the main story per chapter .
- Crawling pace of everything. You see every morning for 5 weeks. Your daughter brings you a cup of coffee that you comment on every day.
- No "I'm tired of your shit" in dialogue

Pros:
- Close to realist main incest story with daugthers.

Warning at the start of the game almost made me skip out on the fantastic experience that is your game.

I enjoyed your writing, with all the callbacks to my previous decisions, natural flow of conversations and those crazy innuendos.

The game looks great, with unique models being the main appeal to me.

But above else, even though it's difficult to describe what exactly makes it work, I think the game has very good pacing. Perhaps it's how most of the days can feel like a complete experience because of various interesting events happening at multiple distinct points of the day. Progression feels very natural thanks to this.

All of this is elevated by the exploration of different atmospheres, and of course by the way you direct the scenes which build those scenarios.

At the end I surprisingly found myself a bit attached to the main characters, which is a first one for me, when it comes to this type of visual novels.

Just finished replaying all the way from Ch1 through Ch6

The characters? Well fleshed out like.. holy hell you start getting emotions for them and the surroundings with this writing and posturing

Art? to each their own but it's masterfully done, don't think there's many VNs that have this amount of polish done to it

The story? It's a rollecoaster of emotions and I could probably read this without fapping just to see what'll happen next

Summary? If you even REMOTELY like the art YOU SHOULD PLAY THIS, it is well worth the time and effort.

Great characterization, fairly realistic dialogue (given genre), and very distinctive and stylish art. The art apparently is a bit of an marmite issue, either you love it or hate it. There's some fairly heavy story beats, but in general the story doesn't really weigh itself down too much in attempt to be too serious. Neither does it overcorrect and go too stupid. Like many other games, some which are very popular despite the obvious problems. So, in other words, if you enjoy the art you'll probably love the game. Depending on how much you can live with the incest theme, of course.

Played alot of Adult games/Visual novels in my day, and honestly this is too good to be classified as such. The writing, character development, witty dialogue, animations/art and pacing is done so masterfully, I consider it a bar raiser for the VN genre. Not to mention the fact that this has been achieved by a sole entity.... I hope you continue to make more and get paid handsomely for it.

On the first time i played this game, i think "oh latina girls game, and incest... ihuu" toggled skip unseen text and rushed the game, reeaally nice art the girls were perfect, but it suffered from huge lack of scenes, some time after i thought "i will give it a shot to the story" dude a porn games that develops the characters on this level deserves a award, the game brings up anxiety, grief and it's effects, it's really the best plot i saw in ALL porn games, congratulation to the creator's.

For those with laziness
-Art 10/10 what we need in the world of games, both Latinas wich rarely appears in games, and good animations both sprites, sex scenes and etc.
-Plot 10/10 have heavy themes like psicological problems due to death of a close person and the best character development of every porn games, you really like the girls they personality is well worked and i love them both
-Gameplay 9/10 don't have minigames(you wont miss it and it's not a bad point the lack of it, it really dont need), the choices are sometimes tricky, but aren't complicated at all, just one or other but everything is really self explanatory

Easily in the top 3 games on the site in terms of quality, and far and away my number 1, having played a large variety of games found here over the years this one is consistently at the top in basically all regards, most importantly uniqueness and emotional depth, when there are so many cookie cutter and generic games out there. Anyone with reservations should at least give it a try if it's anywhere near their wheelhouse, this is definitely a game that pulls you in as long as you give it a chance.

I'm not too active on the forum but this game deserves all the praise it can get, I replay it every update and it never gets old. It's extremely apparent that this is a labor of love, and while I think constructive criticism is important I simply don't have any, I just hope NR keeps doing their thing and works towards finishing this masterpiece in the way only they know how.

Amazing, wonderful, top. Story is unic and original, it flows excellent and exactly how should be. I haven't found game like this, with this concept and reality. Graphics are good, for my taste it should have some awesome animation, not picture by picture motion. But still it's great to play and exciting. I hope your next game will be knock down like this one. Keep doing good job.

Never seen such original content before. A constant evolving story, where you get sucked into the heartfelt personalities of the characters. And it's getting better for each chapter.
Then the models and animations used I'm hooked for life!

This game is a masterpiece! It's sweet, funny, moving, and erotic as hell. Yes, the models are not traditionally attractive at initial glance, but they quickly grew on me. Ultimately, what makes this story so erotic is not just the characters, but the varied scenarios and teasing dialogue. The escalation of sexual tension and activity between the MC and his daughters, particularly the younger of the two, is indeed a slow burn, but players' patience is ultimately well rewarded.

I really enjoy the artwork overall. Every scene is animated in at least some way--characters blink, shift in their seats, turn and face other characters--so there is always movement. The lighting, shadows, and focus of each scene are meticulously done. It's top notch.

The story offers dialogue choices throughout, but I'm not sure if the story branches at all. I suspect that you could desist from having relations with the daughter characters, but if you're playing this game, isn't romancing them the whole point?

The story is not complicated. At its heart it is about love and loss and how we cope with both. In its fantastical way, this story presents a touching, heartwarming, and erotic take on these deeply human issues.

Good timing, good renders, original character designs. Good Game.

Their look change a lot compared to others game.
The sexy scenes come slowly but nicely done so that we don't lose patience.
