I was a bit turned off by the samples and banner for quite some time and always skipped this game while looking for new things (as many probably did before me, seeing the comment in OP), but MAN am I glad now to have have taken' the plunge and started it up anyway.

I don't know if the choice of samples are at fault or if it simply is like that, but It's not only looking way better 'in person', but the interactions are so entertaining to follow (so are all the little variations and movements of the characters, while playing out) and some of the scenes are straight up eroticly charged to the max. The game already got its hooks in before this point, but the cabin scene simply killed me.

My personal fav has to be the scene/render on the swing with the bubble tea. Her sipping the drink in the cute white dress, lookin' up, had me pause for a moment...

Now I know, why this title has so many stars on here, and I couldn't agree more! Exceptional work!

The scenes before, with Denise getting close to her Dad, and bringing Macy closer to her with what they do at night, and such are great. Her planning the whole thing is hot. But can be slow at times. My run has Brooke and the 3 office ladies. And I don't mind the one that calls you "Papi" or the pregnant woman (always enjoy me one of those in these games), the third, Zara, has no interest for me.

But it definitely does pick up at the vacation/cabin. The night scene and bath scene as I have said before are my 3rd and 4th, with 1st and 2nd being obviously the final two scenes of the last two chapters.

I see 10 rows in each 6 columns, so 60 scenes indeed.
Correct, you see 10 rows, but based on the image, 1, 11, 21, 31, 41, 51 are one row. The image says ROWS are one scene, regardless of the columns. 1 row, 10,000,000 columns, still one scene.

Saying "One numbered grouping is one scene" would be less confusing.

You were right, pedantic. Or argumentative.

Any person with common sense understands columns in text layout is different than in a spreadsheet. When reading a newspaper with multiple columns, you don't associate each row of text within a column as in the same row as text in the column adjacent to it. You understand each is a separate entity within its context.

If it was a spreadsheet, you'd be correct. But it's not, so you are incorrect.

Row in this context is meant to be read as a row of one type of head.

So there's 60ish scenes, and each scene has a row of one or more heads.

Of course things get muddled when you're actually producing and you start swapping things out, adding things in, or scrapping stuff you originally planned, and that's why that graph will get messier the further we get.

You and I both know they won't click those links :ROFLMAO: maybe they read this, probably not

We need to talk about save game practices.

Since the public release is very soon to be upon us, here a short little rant about how to properly handle saves in Light of my Life, or any ren'py game for the matter.

Get that chip off my shoulder

Let me start of by saying I never really got why anyone'd want to get a random stranger's save game when starting a new chapter. Unless you care absolutely nothing about all the choices you made in the previous chapters (what are the pet names you are called or call people, what fetish did you encourage or discourage, when you had that heart-to-heart, did you comfort them, or relate to them by you struggle with that too, are you afraid of heights, and the list goes on and on and on), but you know, hey, that's up to you.

If you can't wait to click trough the text as fast as possible to see some lewd, who am I to wag a finger at you over this? Well, actually, it turns out I do have a reason, but more on that later.

But if you're invested in the storyline at all, and you used someone else's save game, just know that all those times something came up that made you scratch your head a little, those weren't continuity errors or wonky writing or the game being weird or buggy, that were choices that other person made that are playing out, and not your choices.

Don't you care about all the things we talked about?

It's so much worse though.

But that's not really what this is about. Coming in this version of the ren'py engine, . Basically what it comes down to is that when you load a save file that was not created on the device you are playing it on now, it'll warn you about it, and you need to confirm that you do.

Why was that added? Well, it turns out that , and someone can quite easily (that vid is hilarious btw). I'll wait a sec or two for that to sink in.

Why's the light on my webcam on?

So for the love of Macy, don't ever ever ever download and use a save file from a source you don't trust. And let's be honest, do you really trust ilickchihuahuas69 over at that forum you visit sometimes, even if they do post all those funny memes? And do you trust the guys he gets his saves from?

Note: you won't get this "are you sure" question loading external saves with Light of my Life immediately: saves made in chapter 6 will not trigger this in chapter 7. But saves made in the upcoming release of Light of my Life will trigger it, and it's a small step in the right direction.

My personal advice is: don't ever use a ren'py save you did not create yourself. Ever.
Agreed! or hack my own save file ‍

These guys... dev works two jobs to make ends meet, still manages to put in on average 45 hours each week on this game (which is more than many do on just their single job).

"Dev's in no rush."
