I did this, and the Season 2 game immediately warns me that I've locked out the Brooke and Coven relationships. Is it at all possible there's a problem with the save import? I definitely anointed the Coven.

Hmm, looking at the logic, I got my De Morgan's law wrong I think. That's sloppy.

You're definitely locked out of either the Coven or Brooke (or both), but it will always say you're locked out of all of them, even if it's only one of those two. I'll fix that. For now, if you're okay with being locked out for one, ignore.

0.7.0? That sound like a really old release.

From the game:

This option requires that you played through the previous chapter (Chapter 7) with Light of my Life version 1.0.0 or higher on this computer and played all the way through the end game summary and the bonus scene to the point where it flashes a short notification saying 'Making end-of-chapter autosave and exporting choices.'

Did you see that notification? If not, you're not on 1.0.0 or better.

Note, no need to replay a lot, just loading the "save your game here" save from chapter 7 and clicking once should get you to the point where it exports.



The game has two ways of continuing from chapter 7 (PC/Linux/Mac).

One is by loading it from the Multi-Game Persistent file called ch7end.loml.naughtyroad, which should live under C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\persistent.

The second is from continuing the autosave called ch7_end_game-LT1.save, which would live under C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\LightofmyLife-1547911404.
Note, this isn't a manual save file you create yourself, it's automatically created at the end of Chapter 7 (v1.0.0+).

Last time I played was the initial release of chapter 7. No worries.

naughtyroad so, let me take this straight, it's not safe to play right now because you can't properly import saves to the new chapter, is that right?

How about you just go and read the friggin changelog on page 1?

• First release for season 2, includes chapter 8.
• New achievements
• Import your choices from season 1 (chapters 1-7) or start from default choices. It is recommended you play season 1 before playing season 2.

Quick note on carrying the choices from the previous chapter over to season 2. You need to have finished season 1 using version 1.0.0 or better if you're on PC, Linux, or Mac, or version 1.0.1 or better if you're on android. In the new game, select to start season 2, then follow on-screen instructions to continue playing using your previous choices.

Ch 7 v1.0.0

• NO NEW STORY CONTENT! If you played chapter 7 already, there's no need to download it this version.
• Unless you want achievements, because this has achievements. 55 in all.
• Adds a screen to the game to view your achievements.
• Fixes issue with certain images not showing up correctly after the upgrade to Python 3.9.
• Adds missing outfit detail variants for M and D in chapter 7, day 5.
• Adds a new perk for Macy in chapter 6, so both Macy and Denise now have three in all to earn.
• Adds code to autosave/export choices at the end of chapter 7. These will be used to import your choices at the start of chapter 8.
• Adds several minor bugfixes and typo corrections.

Hello naughtyroad ,

Love the game so far. One pet peev however is the game opening in fullscreen mode, which on exit or changing to window mode fucks up my HDR in Windows 11 on my Nvidia Graphics card (every renpy game does this for me) meaning I have to cycle HDR from the windows display menu to get the screen displaying properly (not dark).

Any chance for Future versions that you make Windowed the default.

Just play the game, you will find out if there is any naughtiness in it or not, just go for the journey, you might be surprised what you will find

The actual version available to download is LightofmyLife-1.0.1-pc (ch1-7)

v1.0.1 was just added 2 weeks ago or so.

And as said, you only need to have played v1.0.1 on Android for saves to carry over, if you played v1.0.0 on anything other than Android your saves will carry over.
