Not sure what caused the issues with importing the end of part one save. When trying to import the auto-save made at the end of part one, which I just completed last night, something isn't making sense. The import option was stating that I would be starting part 2 with characters paths locked out, despite seeing all lewd scenes for those characters on the auto-save. I don't want to have to skip through the game making all the same choices I did originally, especially if this is going to be an issue again. Can anyone else, who has completed part one confirm that their choices, specifically if they went the more harem-focused route, did in fact carry over?

Thanks for the heads-up. Looks like I'll just have to delete all my saves and start over from square one, but at least I have some confirmation that it will work for me.

No, you do not need to delete your saves.
You are talking about an auto-save. Chapter 8 does not import the auto-save, except as a last ditch effort if your actual end of game save cannot import (and may not work if it cannot find the correct auto-save due to date/etc issues - such as playing parts of the game after already completely Chapter 7).
You need to actively make a save after completing v1.0.0 or v1.0.1 for Chapter 7 (not from the v0.7.x version) WHEN you are instructed to by the VN. As long as your save from Chapter 7 is in your %appdata/RenPy/LightofmyLife-########## folder.

just finished the Ch8 update and I love the story and little presentation upgrades. The "walking into and out of the room" effect for example.
In fact, the walking into to room "animations" are a great opportunity to show off those asses. you cant tell me Karma is caked up and not take every oppurtunity to show it off. I need to be able to compare and contrast all these cheeks, see if any can compare Macy's Applebottom.

Nope. They are not. They have no ethnicity, per the developer. Canonically they have none. You can personally head-canon whatever you want for your personal playi g enjoyment.

because for as many fans as this game has, there are as many ethnicities people have been adamant about who the girls are.
The developer, the creator of the game and the creator of the character designs of Denise and Macy, has stated they are to be women a player might find and possibly associate with in many parts of the world.
The developer lives in the Netherlands and has stated he has seen many women who share the features of Macy and Denice.
The developer has made it clear the ladies have no canonical ethnicity on purpose, but the player may project whatever ethnicity they choose on Denise and Macy for their own head-canon and pleasure - but that's all.

I guess some sort of legal loophole, similar to relationship naming. Otherwise it just doesn't make sense xD
just finished chapter two...i'm really trying but man, this is tough...i'm hoping it picks up but i'm not sure i'm gonna make it.
the vast majority of choices are meaningless, i literally binded the 1 key on my keyboard to double as dismiss and choice 1, as many "choices" are no more than single options that simply impede ur progress.
I don't mind a more linear story, but then the writing must be compelling – it's far from it. reminds me of "a petal among thorns" in the worst way. again, i've only just completed chapter two, so i'm keeping my fingers crossed, but i'm quickly losing hope.

Heheh, I've seen the "they're obviously of X ethnicity" argument come by so many times now for just about every locale imaginable (Latin Americas, Middle East, Mediterranean, Southern or Easter Europe, and South or Central Asia) that that in itself should be enough to invalidate any argument made for any one specific location.

I am not naughtyroad - but it is common sense that you should not expect the next update for at least a year from the last update. While a new computer could speed up the time it takes to render (which is usually set up to do while naughtyroad does other things) - it doesn't speed up brainstorming, writing, posing, coding, revising, editing, etc.

I said at least a year, I didn't say "just a year."
For the record, here are the last 4 chapters and their update times:
Chapter 8 - 16 months
Chapter 7 - 19.5 months
Chapter 6 - 11 months
Chapter 5 - 8 months
That's an average of close to 14 months.
You should not expect anything less than one year from now. It could be 14 months, 18 months, 22 months... it could be 10 months. But you should not not expect anything less than a year. At least a year.
It's a game that naughtyroad gives away each update for free to everyone.
It's a game that is filled with quality narrative, choices, images, and more with a lot of content with each update.
Ergo, it's going to take a significant time for it to be developed.
And if you find it difficult to wait, there are 20,134 other games on F95 to help you keep your mind off waiting. Or, there are so many other things in life to do than play adult games to pass the time.
Love this game and the update was great. I am really buying in to the story and have started to fantasize about what that male creep at the office may do. I understand there will be no NTR (?).The cute relation and dialoge with the 3 MCs is still amazing.
The only minus from my perspective was the ONE image in the shower (watersport). I have been waiting a year for that play to develop.
