You do know this is a piracy site, right?

Also, the guy you quoted only compresses games, he doesn't play them so he wasn't the one who uploaded it originally.

Imo you should respect the work done and avoid publishing anything that is behind subscribtions when there are free versions and all the more when the dev is owner of the topic.

FI, even if its easy and people are gonna enjoy it, those kinds of uploads break / drastically reduce all potential incomes for the game.
In most case, it might "just" prevent him or her from being able to continue working on it as much as (s)he was, potentially making him/her obliged to work on vanilla jobs full time to provide for his/her needs instead of being full time on game dev.
In worst case for big games, it might just prevent getting everyone working on a game (artists, devs, ...) to get rewarded for their work.
In the end, it all imply less motivation, less work, and as a result fewer releases and less content, which, I think, is not what everyone might want on every games.

In conclusion, even if it's a piracy forum, posting free versions instead of subsribers versions should be a solution to prefer.

That's a piracy site, so nothing will be removed. You've been using this site since 2018 you should know that by now. On the bright side, if the game got leaked, it means many users like your game, instead of asking for removal focus on gathering feedback about the update.

Since I first started creating a game I have always been open and responsive to reactions and feedback on this site. I shared my work here. I enjoy creating this work, I am not getting rich of it, I don't even get all of my expenses covered. But that's okay, it's a hobby right? Of course content gets leaked. I've been around long enough to know that. How did you think I came across this site in the first place?

But to do so I my own post, in this thread that I started myself to share my work freely... that just comes across as a raised middle finger. This is not about F95 being a piracy site, this is about at least showing a little bit of respect to a creator.

If you don't get this and still think being a piracy site is an appropriate response to my frustration, then let's just leave it at that.

If it's any consolation, I saw that this game was updated here yesterday. I downloaded it and played through it. After that, I subscribed to your Subscribestar page. Even though it's the measly $2 subscription, I still subscribed to see more of your work. Also not knowing exactly how the different tiers work, I thought I may be able to play the updates quicker. Personally, I kind of consider this site as a preview for games that I may like. When I like them, I usually subscribe unless it's strictly through Patreon, which I won't do because Patreon sucks.

I still remember the very first PC game that I actually felt I needed to buy. It was Conflict Freespace. I downloaded it from a warez site back in -98 (I think). It was so good, and I got so hooked. After I finished it, I went out and bought it (back then as a physical copy), then I played through it again. When the sequel was announced, I was in the beta with the developers, and I bought the game on day one.

Don't underestimate pirate sites. Many developers actually leak their own games, in order to get better publicity. Many reviewers get their copy via pirate sites, and put up videos on YT, etc. Seeing as this is an adult game, YT is a long shot. Still, you'll get a lot of publicity from this site. Possibly, also a lot of new fans (subscribers). I like your games.

yeah, im never gonna pay for this game, im here simply cause i was trying to remember if its something ive played before or not. then saw all the fun and crying going on. sadly i remembered i didnt like this game, but im tempted to download and play the pirated version out of spite. and now i want a sprite cause i misread my own word and got thirsty.

This is a piracy site. While it makes sense to let developers have a few days to reward their subscribers before stealing the content, some pirates are always going to be stupid and impatient enough to steal it immediately. Sure, that makes it harder for developers to keep subscribers, and sometimes kills the goose that lays the golden eggs for us, but its almost always going to happen anyway.

Not much can be done about it, it's just human nature.
