Yeah seen some familiar faces plus looks like Leaf getting her own story next game.
It pretty much does nothing to affect the story that I can remember. Later in the game you'll have the opportunity to use erosion to craft items, and one of those items you'll need to craft one for every one of the main girls if you want to get every scene. You don't need to worry about either hoarding or getting rid of it, because both gaining it (going back to sleep while horny several times in a row) and losing it (taking a bath instead) are very easy and quick to do.
I got the leaf amulets, would those help?
The game has roughly bajillion and half protection stones and accessories and whatnots with varying status effect/debuff protections (and sometimes *vulnerabilities* - it's clever like that), Hell if I remember out of hand what those do. But the Jungle region in general is Status City population Too Large where you want to be loaded for bear with resistances, particularly against the likes of Charm and Confuse because getting your healer ganked by your own DPS monster is just plain embarassing.
