I know right, I just took a new look on the post from Darkman_13 and there on top you can see the date/time from patron (link).
So I wonder; when we get to the 24th of December will we then get a link for the new update and now for the time being we will get some wallpapers that is already shown just to "freshened" up our memory of Lily until the next update(aka 24th)?

Yes, by not playing the compressed version....
Seriously now, you need to compare the file names between compressed and original version.. most likely that something went wrong during compression or extraction, what caused the wrong file name or the file is missing from your game. Check the directory www/img/characters if the mentioned file is missing or not.
Right now I do not have the game on my computer... Sorry!

I'm a Linux user too and use the native Linux RPG Maker MV Launcher linked in my signature. Did you check the archive if the file is there or not?

Is the correct file name $Lily Naked.rpgmvp or $Lily naked.rpgmvp. I remember that people said that capitalization or lowercase doesn't matter in Windows, but matter on Linux...

Yeah I think the hoster took it and other porn game's calendars down. The hoster did not like the content - violation of T&C.
So censorship kicked in once they realized where the calendar was going. We'll at least they tried.
