I can't wait for this party to finally be over so the Ren'py version starts getting updated again. RPGM drives me batshit,
The moving around in Rpgm is fine but when those unpausable scenes starts playing, my laptop fans go full throttle! And then the entire game starts lagging... :cautious:

Red Alert 2 runs fine but Lisa lags -- my cpu cores can't handle all those pussy juices :ROFLMAO:

To be fair, Lisa is likely using a lot higher quality images than RA2 does.

Resident Post: Last update post before patch

Hellooo ^_^

One last update.. The next titled post will be 3.2 release. It's still at least 2 weeks out because I have yet to finish the finale scene and implement it but almost everything else is up and running.
You should see my taskbar on Windows for my workflow atm lol.. I have RPGM open, Daz3d, Photoshop, a tool for converting audio, a DAW (digital audio workstation), several notepad++, ComfyUI (AI Imaging) and like 20 internet tabs. I'm like a maddened old wizard mashing away. I am very aware of the date and I know that my stress is beyond high atm because my tics are going craaaaazy like I'm getting repetitive strain on my eyebrows so I gotta push, push, push to give them a break ffs! xD

It looks like a wallpaper and it's supposed to.. You'll just have to wait to see how it's used in game :) You could think of these images as little bonuses for progression! :D

Final Exhibitionism:

I've went through a few different ideas of how to implement the Exhibitionism stat and how to progress it since starting and I think I've talked about them all of the conceived iterations in these posts but the final version works as such:

Leveling Exhibitionism - Explore Renshire and find "E" events - these will be relatively obvious because they have their own unique balloon (balloons are the wee hearts or exclamation points you see in RPGM games) which shows Lisa undressing. Some of these will have Lisa taking photos of herself and the rest are Lisa just pushing the boundaries of what she's comfortable with based on her current level/tier. Once an "E" event has been viewed, you will have to return to Lisa's PC to either "Post" the photos online or "Recap" the risque events that didn't end in a quick snap. Doing this will result in the Exhibitionism stat rising based on how many events were completed and posted/recapped. You can do as many of these events per day as you wish but there are Exhibitionism stat requirements for many of the events. Repeating already seen events won't contribute to more Exhibitionism levels, the game will tell you if you've already gained a level or the maximum levels from an event before starting.

Exhibitionism Requirements - I've settled on a tier system for the E events each tier evolving as 5 levels are attained so:
T1 events: 1-5
T2 events: 6-10, etc
This skill is built to be levelled as you're playing other main/sub plots in the game but given the fact that it's being built as a standalone patch, it might feel a little more stiff than is actually intended.

How to find Exhibitionist events - When accessing Lisa's laptop you'll have a new option to go-to the Open Exhibitionist website. Doing so will actually teleport Lisa's sprite to a new map which is actually the website itself. Here you can upload photos, recollect past memories, view the images taken on Lisa's phone in fullscreen, etc.
When Lisa has collected, for example, 1 photo and 2 non photo E events, you will interact with each of the nodes in which these events are placed in the Open Exhibitionist map and they will upload the photo/memory unlocking the Exhib level and also the ability to recollect the scene and view comments on the photo events.
It will also, much like the recollection room, show you which scenes you've seen and which you haven't which is a core component of this whole stat. On scenes you haven't seen, it will direct you to exactly where to find them and what's required to view it. There's no ambiguity in the description and it won't be difficult to find the scenes whatsoever, I want you to find everything and I want it to be easy.

Added Content:

I've talked about how the actual photos Lisa takes for the Open Exhibitionist website will be available to view and you can even view comments on the pictures that she uploads. Well photos only make up like 30% of the total Exhib content, the other content is Lisa just frolicking for fun so to make up for these events having no comments in the Open Exhibitionist website.. These events instead have a "Reminisce" option in which Lisa does a short recap of the event as she recalls the memory after the fact and her feelings during it. This is at least part of the reason that the patch is taking so long. Not only am I creating the events, creating the recollections but I'm also rewriting short summaries from Lisa's point of view for every event as well. It's hard to sum up just how much work there is in this patch, it's bonkers lol. I really hope it shows in the production value of things as it's quite a step up from any previous patch in both the CG quality and also the RPGM complexities.

Finally; there's a full introduction to the Open Exhibitionist website in game which will run you through things in a joyously cringe way but that's my craft so buckle up! :D

What's been cut / What's not added:

-The "skills" element of Exhibitionism has been completely removed because it just felt needlessly confusing.
-The selfie stick didn't make the cut for this patch but I do intend on adding it later.
-Areas like the beach, the RLD or Brava haven't got ANY Exhib content in them yet. Basically the credit areas of the game, with a few exceptions, will be fleshed out when I'm actually working in those areas. So when I next work on Theo's bar Day/Night, Exhib scenes will be added to both and the same with the RLD with Neon and Brava, etc.

A lot of mini routes are started in this patch, things like "Fall Guy," "Stare," "Construction," etc but none finish in this patch. These are great things to have from the Dev chair because they're events that I can add to almost at random in patches just to fill them out. It doesn't feel great making patches with only one string of content added like what happened with Jayce's Party so adding a list of events I can actively add to in fairly little time is a great resource to have but, in all honesty, I would've preferred if I had made further progress on basically all of the mini routes tied to Exhib.
If I had unlimited time, I could've continued making more and more content for 3.2 but look how long it's taken me to get this patch shaped up already. I can't really afford to offer more time to CGs for now. Maybe a poll would be worthwhile here to find out which of these you guys would most like to see progressed because it really doesn't matter which are prioritized as they're all entirely optional. Obviously it goes without saying that when the patch launches, feel free to suggest ideas because Exhibitionism is now fully functional and adding new minis / mini routes to it is so, so simple!

Lisa's not gonna be walking around the streets of Renshire topless in this patch or anything either, I've wanted to include Exhibitionist content for so long now and I want to continue building it as the game continues. We are somewhere around the half way mark in terms of the length of the game so there's several years of time to play with :)

A final note in case I forget in the update post itself; I know there are players who want to skip ahead in content and use things like cheat engine to add stats. With Exhibitionism, this will probably break the game.. xD Or at least the stat itself so if you like to sneak a few levels here and there, please save on a new slot because I have no idea what unforetold disaster awaits down that road! ^_^

Tidying up / Fixes:

The intro title scene appears to be functional for now in that the skip cutscene function works, there's no black screens and you don't need to action a cancel input to actually select anything.. (WHOOO! ^_^).
You will however notice a pretty big difference as soon as you boot the game and the cutscene starts but this is only part of the desired changes. The entire opening screen will be changed in time but I just don't have the time to dedicate to it right now. I have a full concept for the intro cutscene as the "final" iteration of it but it's actually a 4 minute video with animated cameras that sort of mirrors some plans I have for later in the game itself but it'd likely take me weeks to make it and I just don't have the time right now :)
A minor issue to most but a major one to me is the RMB not opening the menu in game. This has been a pain point for me for years now but I've finally worked out the scripts to fix it so mouse only players can rejoice ^_^

The next "tech" issue I have to deal with is the custom options not saving to the same location as the save files themselves. I won't get to that this patch as it's incredibly minor but I haven't forgotten about it.

If you guys can think of any other technical issues that stand out in the game please let me know and I'll get to fixing it. Having spent a fair amount of time playing with scripts recently, it's fresh in my mind so if anything else needs tweaked, this is the time to do it lol.

Size of 3.2:

I genuinely thought this patch would occupy around 400 CGs when I started and it's now double that and with less progress than I'd like but that's always the way, isn't it? :'(

I just hope that the vision for Exhibitionism is clear and that it draws excitement for what's to come in time, both in the current mini events shown in this patch and in the future clothing options too.

For now, I'm waiting for ordinary, random events in the city to complement the game and create the impression that the city is alive. They don't necessarily have to be connected with the path of exhibitionism.

that would be great. these tiny details always add so much to the immersion of the game, and will give an actual good reason to play the rpgm version over the renpy

so can we say now that this game has content updates once in a year ? since last couple of updates were not content updates (bugfixes collection room etc)

because going from 2 - 3 months regular updates to once in a year updates (even more for some) are the fate of games in this site.

Even though half of the party was cancelled , originally there were twice as many routes ( Drug ON/OFF ).The drug Off part was deleted.
If I remember correctly there were originally 11 routes.

It should be a lot more manageable in this update and the previous mate as I'm clearing the cache after every image whereas before I never did so the game was constantly loading anything up to 99 images at once. I'd be curious to find out how much difference it actually makes so defo let me know after the patch is up :)

An oversight by me for sure. I probably shouldn't assume that everyone has a £3k pc lol


Recently when the game starts the opening screen is laggy as fuck like actual 1 fps

That'd be tough because Duncan's plot changed when the bar scene was removed. Not drastically but some events were moved around. I'm not sure what exactly Quency's plan for it is but older versions of the game are still floating around if you really wanted them :)
