Exactly? The word you are looking for is remotely. Not even remotely true. Plenty of adults get braces because for whatever reason they couldn't get them when they were younger. My ex is over 40 and she got braces a couple of years ago. While pre-teen/teen is optimal, optimal does not equal possible.

Yeah... I didn't want to come off as confrontational. I think the numbers are that around 30% of people with braces are adults.

No that is correct. You have no way to know the outcome or if you even will know the outcome.

I guess what is the best outcome for the daughter is another question. In Mexico her status is elevated beyond what Dylan could achieve for her.
Short term, maybe. Long term? Taken by a drug kingpin and stuck with her narcissistic junkie mother? Not good.

no the druggie mom would be dead and the daughter would be with a family member who cant have kids....
Ok, maybe so, still not good long term to go through the trauma of being kidnapped to a prison in mexico by a drug cartel only to have your parents murdered(even if one of them sucks balls and deserves it). The long lasting psychological damage of that ordeal is not going to be off set by being placed with a well off relative.

And her father loves her and she knows it. Losing him will fuck her up big time regardless. She's not better off with a wealthy relative than she was with her now middle class, doting father.

I kinda want to play for these alternative situations, but I wish we had something like in-game achievements to tell us about situations or combinations we missed.
