yikes, this is getting out of hand...

I'll put this whole KG thing to rest in the simplest way : wait until they release, if you see things like jelly-filled donuts, or any 1 of the (many) other references I have put in the game... we will know for sure. (and honestly, if they did use my translation, that would be almost hilarious, as it would imply my work is worth paying for, and also doubly amusing because of how hard I worked to get the translation versions out, within a short timeframe each update... whereas some official translations take YEARS to happen)
Frankly, they should hire you. Would you be open to it?

I think the work you did here serves as a resume. A lot of fan-dubs turned into real work. I don't see why game translating wouldn't.

If I was offered a job, yes, yes I would.
Am I qualified for it? probably (most definitely) not. My knowledge of japanese is extremely limited, I use tools developed by other people etc etc.

Working on this translation has shown me that anyone can do this type of work if they want to, I think it was... 8 hours into the my initial work on the demo version that I sat back and wondered why other people didn't do what I was doing... don't get me wrong, it's difficult, takes time and effort, but it can be done with very little initial skill. I remember compiling the very first build after 30 minutes of actually finding things and experimenting after finding the tools and decrypting everything, which only had a few lines done (the first title question) and seeing it actually working was... wow, no words for it... then I expanded... and expanded... then I realised that the Status display was actually a image, so I worked on editing that (it got revised later) and just... kept going. I've had help along the way, especially with the photoshopping of images, but pretty much everything has been done with just me, my pc, and support from Rachel (who loves porn games) and everyone here.

I've pushed myself to some pretty stupid levels (in the early days, while I was still working everything out and making mistakes left, right and centre), at one point I was working on the translation for 10+ hours a day... a habit I've since mostly broken, as it was doing more harm then good, now I pace myself, but still keep a fast rate.

The biggest downside to doing this work? I have zero will to actually play the game... it's probably mental association, I don't see the game as fun, but as work, I can't play the game without looking for errors, spelling issues etc... In other words I can't "switch off" and just play the game anymore. Which is a shame, as I know it's a excellent game, but I just have zero desire to touch it outside of actually working on the translation.

anyway, time to hop off this exposition train and go chill out for a bit.

Fine...I'll do it myself.
Fully updated, organized table for 1.4.3 (Translation φ), EVERYTHING should work properly (Just make sure the game's executable file is named "Imouto Fantasy.exe", which it should be by default).
This is based on the table truemechasonic made for 1.4.3 (Untranslated version).

Edit: I swear to fucking god, instead of asking "how to use" in this thread, you people could just...idk, search it on the forum or direcly in Google? That's what they are for.
Anyways, here's the instructions:
- Install Cheat Engine if you don't have it installed yet (From cheatengine.org). Be careful when doing it as it can potentially install unwanted apps, so read every pop-up that appears during installation carefully. Cheat engine should already have an included tutorial that shows up the first time you open it, but I will keep explaining the process as the built-in tutorial doesn't explain how to open and use external cheat tables, I think.
- Extract the zip file attached below and open the .CT file with cheat engine. I recommend extracting the cheat table to some convenient folder like the game folder itself or desktop.
- Open the game, then select the game on the process list on cheat engine (top left) and keep the current adress list once the the pop-up shows. Click on the boxes beside "Imouto", "Inventory", etc. to expand the list.
- Double click on the values to change them.
- Profit.
(Will be including images in a few hours, have to do something in the meantime)
I just want to say thank you for taking your time to explain this to us newbies, i really appreciate it, Thank you again :)

I think a lot of their staff also don't speak the language fluently. Even in the fan-dub scene for animes. I think you're underselling yourself. What matters here is your dedication to the work, which you have in spades.

Lots of jobs create an imposter syndrome mindset, like 90% of programmers feel like perpetual plagiarists. The truth is though, there's no better way to reinvent the "timer" function. There is a certain way if/then trees work best. At the end of the day, does it work? If so, it ships.

I think that this example that you propose can be exposed for any type of modification.

Before trying to color my first image I thought that illustrator or Photoshop were complex tools to use and when I painted the first image I thought "Well it was really easy", of course the first coloring compared to the most current ones is quite mediocre but for an initial job where I had no knowledge of how to do it seemed quite "easy"

As I progressed, I learned new things and I have improved in many aspects and I really feel that every day you can learn more and more things.

I think to answer your question why hasn't anyone done it before? I would say it's because these types of projects are very time consuming and require commitment, not everyone wants to sit down for 2 to 4 hours to work for something for which they won't receive money. .

For my part I have received some messages from people who want to help me with the coloring, but for the images to be as similar as possible I would have to teach them from scratch all the techniques I use and once I tried it with a person...

Result: I lost all communication with that person, which made me think that I wasted a lot of time :(

For this reason, whenever someone tells me that they want to help me in some way, I reject the request. It may sound a bit arrogant, but I really don't want to risk it since I don't know how much commitment that person will have.

I think that for this same reason, Inusuku explicitly says on his twitter "I work alone", I think that similar situations have also happened to him.

For these reasons, more than anyone else, I appreciate the work that everyone does: Blue Akapp Mello Shade.

And I always try to encourage them to continue because we all have something in common, the love we have for this game.

I doubt it, I think the idea of uncensored version from Kagura is supposed to give the original artwork without mosaics on them from the original artist/developer (Inusuku)... while mine is a fan-made with different style so low chance Kagura will be asking me about it. Though if there's a chance Kagura will be using my decensored mod the internet and I will know
I doubt the art without mosaics will be as good as your decensored mod honestly lmao. Even if I play the Kagura version, I'll still have your decensor installed.

It does seem... a bit daft, doesn't it? also the "Living with Sister" bit looks... wrong, somehow... hell the entire title does, I manually edited the original titlescreen to fit the Fantasy part in while keeping the original aesthetic, whereas KG seems to have just gone for a lazy fix...

KAGURA GAMES BEING LAZY TO JUST PUSH A GAME OUT WITHOUT BOTHERING TO KEEP THE INTENTION OF THE ORIGINAL PRODUCT?!

No fucking way. I could NEVER have seen this coming.

I think at the end of it hopefully it's not two much of a mess. My biggest worry (besides Kagura doing the thing they usually do, which is cut questionable content and change the entire game to not offend western twitter or Steam employees) is that it will be two different versions of a game that Inusuku isn't even finished working on yet. Ideally we can all come together here and make the best version of this game with the best translation and decensor possible, combining anything actually quality from Kagura's version with your translated version we've continued playing with each update, and of course that gorgeous color mod that I'm waiting for as well.

Extremely based take and I agree wholeheartedly. This is why I can't wait to play with your color mod and will continue to support you guys in any way I can.

While doing some coding, I found another dropped idea from Inusuku: a Peephole Driller. Only the name and variable is set-up, but I assume the item was meant to create the peephole into the toilet, and that it would be a requirement to peep at all.

Another one is the Periscope Machine, maybe for the bath?

Having the driller would make a lot more sense for why there's a peephole in the restroom door. Maybe there was possibly more peephole locations that could be made, too.

The second game in any way possible. It basically add actual plot into the game so you won't stuck with only night battles with your sister when you're trying to reach that 100 days. THere's even additional post-game story that you can do after day 100 too.

100 days? in this game i have only 33 days ....
So in the other game that isn't fantasy, it's 100 days?
I just started playing yesterday and I really liked the randomness of the game and its rewards, I feel that I can play it several times and each time I find new scenes or events

nah, both game has a goal to reach 100 days with your sister. the difference is in the first game it's basically just that, another ending, the game itself is essentially done when you finally able to screw your sis whenever you asked her. in the second game (Fantasy) there's an actual plot that will accompany you throughout your journey to reach that 100 days, and even a little additional plot too after that, that also involving your guildmates.

So I'm doing something wrong because after 3 attempts I didn't get past day 33 in fantasy :c

yeah, there's actually some ending (and different route) that you could take depending on whether you win or lose certain story battles. Someone wrote the flowchart of the game in this thread so you can search it if you want to give the game another go. for a starter you can check the FAQ that's linked in the first page too.

Something's broke, ALT+ENTER does not makes it full screen, but i do enjoy the improvements done to the HUD.
Nevermind, i just recalled that F11 can do the trick.
