No. The hypocritical it is to want people to support your project and keep their mouths shut.

We have been like that here since the moment we started to smell that we were being taken for a ride. If Mr. Vlad doesn't want to come here, it will be because he won't have arguments to polemicise his values.
I don't know how many times entire pages of comments have been reported here by some individual who didn't have the capacity to do that.
I've had my posts deleted too. Perhaps mine were a little off topic from the game, but they do seem to clean up here occasionally.

You seem to be passionate about all this, otherwise you would not be so...disagreeable? I get it. Something you liked has taken a different direction. Everything has changed (when the fire nation attacked. [Couldn't help myself])

I think it's fine to have an opinion on the matter. But what is not fine is attacking others, talking in general- not pointing at anyone in particular. So yes, even the Discord members could learn a thing or too, but so can we, so can we.

It's frustrating, right? not being able to do anything about all this. This, would be a lack of control. When people lack control, they may do things to try to get some control back, it's pretty natural to fight back at everything.

I don't know if/when/ever the game will be finished, as there is a lot of work to be done. It does seem improbable, but perhaps not impossible.

What people do with money to support this is a value of faith; Faith that federal notes mean something when everybody works together. Money is (was) just paper. it means nothing unless people have faith in the system. That same thing has a sort of kin relationship here, as we have to have faith in something as well. Except, it's all well a gamble.

Gambling is pretty much about odds. Here, people low key gamble their money in hopes of a project getting finished. What we hear from the devs is that they are working on it. So the question is, how much money do people have to throw at this to get it done? And if there even is enough money, are we guaranteed to see a finished product?

I think it's this gamble, the lack of a guarantee of a finished product that has people on edge here. What it boils down to is having faith in the devs, admittedly this can be a hard sale given the massive amount of work.

And about Vlad coming here; Well, I'm going to put myself in his shoes and say if I were making a game, and there was a forum where I might find myself discouraged, I wouldn't come either.

Longer than is probably believed. I've heard of guys fapping well into their 70s and probably 80s, and well, gotta have something to fap to.
Hrmmm...I was sure a lack of testosterone would have a negative effect here. It may be a person by person basis, but I thought it was an interesting theory too.

But whether or not the current devs are hungry for that sort of material, remains a mystery to me. It may just be a nuance of them being more conserved about it-but they did say they'll get to it when they get all that behind-the-scenes crap done.

I think I'm new to this thread, so hello everyone. I check on the progress made on this game from time to time, I got really excited when I found out about the project, basically somewhere in time when it just started. I know a lot of things have changed since the first demo I played, but I really wish for this game to be finally finished. I don't like to play games in the way you read manga or comic books, waiting for the next chapter. So I am forced to ask the question: Did developers estimated the date, or at least a year the game is going to be released? I hope so, but please answear, I have to know.

With that level of complexity how would you ever be able to bring monthly content updates?

The demo release was about one year ago. No more releases since then. Now you are struggling to even bring a few basic Vanlen scenes in a timely manner...

Why didn´t you just stick with simpler still attractive models? No one ever asked for eight viewing angles, ultra detailed characters or countless variations, etc.

You bloated everything up for no reason while having very limited resources.

It was a poor decision - first and foremost you need to be effective and provide content within a satisfying timespan.

And i still can´t comprehend why you´d give the lizard girls these ugly jaws...!
Monthly content updates happen exceptionally rarely with even far simpler porn games, I would know, I follow many of them. We are actually keeping a decent pace with everything except animations all things considered. Our coder has done a fantastic job of implementing new mechanics and fixing bugs.

The 8 directions aren't actually the problem atm. We are recreating Vanlen's animations, which are all done on a single angle each, with a completed rig. They are just taking a long time for whatever reason.

As for the jaws, I dunno, I find them pretty attractive. A lot of people like them. I guess it is personal taste.

Yes we made mistakes, when we first restarted, we had to find out a lot of things the hard way, and I naively trusted the word of some people. I'm wiser now.

Go to Pornhub, strip the porn out, and what remains? Well, it depends.

If it's mainstream Hollywood porn, nothing. If it's Japanese porn, because of the censorship they need to get more creative and spicy, but still close to nothing.

I prefer the spiciness and whacky situations of the second, if you ask me, and that's what I try to do with my games. Make them a bit more than a "walking sim glorified porn gallery".

So, if you apply your exercise to LOK Rebirth, what it remains is a dialogue simulator, with some hints of a larger background plot, yes. But I never, ever said I wanted to win a prize for visual novel writing, did I? Should I feel bad about it, when so many people were enjoying what I was doing?

And... sorry but it doesn't make any sense. You seriously come to F95 in search of games "with" porn? I'm not gonna tell you to take the door, nor I want to resource to the typical Ad Hominem fallacy, but it's like if you're disappointed to find fish in the sea, and will only eat when you find a cow floating over it.


Yeah, but it's funny you mention that because just today I was thinking how those modded games fail in something I consider basic in a hentai game: dialogue before the actual sex.

It doesn't matter how much you mod them, they feel empty afterward. The times I did, I spent days making dozens of mods working together, only to uninstall the whole thing after an hour of "gameplay". That "buy me a drink before you fuck me" was missing, you know. xD

That's one reason I'm doing this. Because I believe the mental fuck is as important as the physical counterpart.


My opinion as well, even taking aside the considerations about the scope and available time, which they overestimated at epic levels.

To be honest, I don't even think they enjoy making the porn part, or that they're proud of it. It's just the thing they say "there will be porn also", so they still can make their Starfox Adventures with Roman legionaries version.

You know, for someone that doesn't want drama, you talk an awful lot of shit. You don't want me to get into this again. Go away and focus on your own project, leave us alone.

The game will take a long time to finish. Old version was going to take forever to finish as well, it's just game development that takes a long time. We have increased the scope, but what is really stopping us is a blockage with animations.

We are hungry for that material, believe me. It just needs to be executed well. The behind the scenes crap is pretty much done tbh. The game is built mechanically for the most part, we're just waiting on assets and animations. The village is almost entirely done environment wise, a number of the characters are done as well.

The extra angles were most likely a mistake, but they give us a unique opportunity for customization options in the 2D, as well as numerous angles for new sex scenes. We can have front-facing sex with see-through males. We can have back facing sex.
We have many options available to us now, so yes it was a ton of work, and we faffed about in the beginning trying to figure out what the hell we were doing after Abel left and we had to start over.

But I'm not sure the multi-directions are all that problematic once the rigs are in, because most of the characters share rigs. So once we implement a rig for one male Jotnar, ALL male Jotnars have the same animations available.

This means you could feasibly play as a completely different character instead of Kay. You could go through the game as, say, Nesi, or the demon lady. Potentially, anyway. Plus with clothing/color/hair/breast size/tattoo customization.

So yes, it was a lot of work. But I think that work is worth it in the long run for enjoyment. Plus yes v0.8 came out much faster, but that is because all the assets were basically copy/pasted. You can now identify who is who based on model type/customization. Before every single one of them looked exactly the same, you had to guess by color/location and eye color. Now from a glance you'll be able to identify who everyone is, they'll have unique personalities to their idle animations/expressions.

You can tell that is Kantir **very** easily even without color, and that will make the game more immersive, I feel.


By the way, as for my own dialogue, I tend to keep it on the small side. I don't know if people like reading walls upon walls of text. I don't even get much feedback from my own dialogue, but much of the feedback I received was "Too long, gib sex." Plus dialogue isn't my strongsuit anyway, I always second guess my own dialogue and rewrite it constantly. So I'm going to try and keep the dialogue somewhat short and sweet, especially amongst the male Jotnar, and if people decide they want longer dialogues, I'll write more. I'm looking forward to feedback on that.

Walls of text is bad, yeah. but you know, Corruption of Champions is pretty well nothing but text, and it does very well. It might be the expectations; People expect a lot of text on CoC, so they are not bothered with it. Here, you have a lot of visuals at play that can distract a reader. Dunno if the visual distraction has anything to do with the impatients of reading. Or rather, short and sweet as you put it is likely the better rout here, however use of long winded text has it's uses.

It may be a pacing thing, but even walls of text spaced out, can be an enjoyable read with these visual aids. I'm not expecting characters to go on a speech, so shortness of dialogue is fine. But I think if you want to increase the length of the dialogue, you could put in a narrative for most encounters. Even describing thoughts, feelings, scenery, all enhances the visuals. It's been a good while since I played last, so perhaps you have put some descriptive thoughts for the characters in.

But there is something said about a lack of feedback. if people are not pointing things out, then you might be doing good.

I'm kind of mixed on this. I like interior monologue, but some games go overboard or fill out the text with stuff that can already be observed or inferred with the visuals. With a visual game and animations, most of the environmental stuff should be obvious. Should be just enough to express the characters' thoughts and a little dialogue maybe, but it reaches a point where it just feels like padding. I don't need a character reiterating that sex feels good for instance.

I´m not getting warm with this reboot.

Right now it feels as a never ending pipe dream. If everything takes as long as with Vanlen, you are going to wait at least 20 years until this game´s near completion, when you look at the devs immense scale of plans.

Besides that the new character models don´t catch my eye compared to the old ones, despite those being way less complex. I never had any problems with the female lizards are "copy & pasted", they still varied very good with different haircuts, boob size, clothing, skin color, etc. But the old models had this sexy hentai-like touch and design and were also less bestial-ish...

For instance the mentioned female jaws. It makes you imagine making out with or getting blown by a pointy teethed lips-lacking alligator with leathery skin instead of a sexy female. I don´t find blowjobs on weird double snake-dicks especially erotic either.

I´m no friend of this "realism" philosophy aswell...like giving older lizard girls belly fat, saggy boobs and wrinkled skin. You are playing hentai games exactly to not have to suffer this. Real life provides frustratingly enough of that.

If 0.8 is continued i´d repledge within a heartbeat - there was so much potential. Right when things got interesting and spicy the game went into a dead end because of wrong decisions, infightings, overconfidence, crazy quests for love, self-doubt, and so on. A classic human tragedy you can say.

Find a way to fix up the horrific mess of the 0.8 game´s code, work together again and complete it with quick content releases. After or maybe even parallel to that, backed up with more pledging fans, go on to sequels or expansions (e. g. Wolves/Hyeanas next, ...) with updated art, new races, etc.

Split it up between several smaller versions instead of making just a single big one. Discard ultra complex stuff, like viewing angles and rigging monstrosities. Put your focus on porn content with high quality dialogues.

That´s my advice and (atm though admittingly little) hope.

I'm looking at the Trello right now, and I see four Vanlen scenes in the pipe works, three of them have already been worked on. From the looks of it, the sex scenes-thigh job, armpit job, and fondling, have all had at least one animation (like part of a scene, not the entire thing) on May 13. Everything else before that was working on getting everything else up and running.

It has taking a long time to get to this point, but the animations for Vanlen have only recently been worked on, relatively speaking.

It wasn't a mess. That's just an old convenient fabrication of Vlad to justify the reboot. Nobody ever saw my engine. And the one I have now is far superior because I've had two years to improve myself. In fact, I've implemented features that Gizmo said were "impossible" to make in pure 2D.


They don't want competition. Period. That's the main reason they removed me.


I have several DM combos with Vlad saying the only reason LOK Rebirth had any success was the porn. As if that was a very bad thing, you know. Something to "fix".

And that's what they've been doing these years: preaching to people what they should want, if they have any sense.

Imagine a Krystal game that wasn't porn. Yeah, I cant either. It's almost like it doesn't make any damn sense to try and make its focus something else lmao. I can guarantee everyone on here would prefer the nsfw animations to literally anything that they have the capacity to come up with and actually execute. This game should be porn packaged in a thin story. This isn't a Rance game, no one who downloads this would or should give a fuck about anything that's not nsfw.

As an artist myself, I can confirm that 100% to be true.
There's no worse enemy than yourself and artists tend to be way too emotional for their own good.

First you were welcomed with attractive character designs, then you got into an intriguing story, afterwards you got some interesting dialogues with funny jokes and references and got accustomed to various characters and their personalities that you wanted to know better. Only after all of these about 1.5 hours of playing you slowly got to some lewd scenes 1-by-1.
Porn was actually so far away from the start, that if you weren't digging story and characters that surrounded you, you wouldn't have gotten to the lewd stuff, because you had to invest your time before you got your reward as lewdness. I can double down on that, because when I first encountered that game I was wanting just porn, but instead I got tons of dialogues, lore and story. I was irritated because I wasn't given easy lewd scenes, but decided to try to get myself into it, gave game a chance. And boy-oh-boy was I not disappointed.
So no, previous game was more than just porn.

p.s. I personally actually liked that 0.8 was more or less light-headed in its tone - gave me relaxation after long days of stressfull work. Sometimes simple is way better than complex, because simple allows you to escape from reality and just rest your brain for a while.

Maybe the lust demon attack? There was also some hint of an...artifact of some sorts if I recall that a high shaman of degree knew. There was the signal beacon from a craft that needed investigation. I can't recall, but I think that is what prompted the protagonist to search the planet (orders from the boss, of course.)

Bits and pieces like that I guess.

I literally completely forgot about all of that lol, just got a Jimmy Neutron brain blast for the .8 story. Goes to show how forgettable it is, as it should be, especially if that's their best.
