Lol, yes, and for me as well. I was able to view all of the myriad sex scenes I've produced before without it triggering me at all, and I'm keeping close tabs on that with my higher power.
Bunni is in the throes of her sex addiction so she will continue to inspire debauchery of all kinds, but you will begin to notice a subtle shift in the characters' reaction to the inflamed lust that Bunni's aura is fomenting. At some point there will be different long-term branches to choose from that will result in various endings. This should be fun, and my creative energy is stoked and God willing, I'm ready to finally finish this project at last.

I don't know. I just feel like this is what I'm meant to be doing now. I'm pretty much in the habit of taking things one day at a time now working my two 12-step programs Alcoholics Anonymous and Sex Addicts Anonymous. I'm chairing the latter group with a zoom meeting on the east coast of America later this morning. I know this is weird, but it is what it is.
Characters have been healing in LLD all along so it shouldn't be too jarring to see more of the same. The second half of the game is going to be rough on Bunni and the MC as they both deal with the encroaching nefarious forces of Devil Corp along with the spurned Great Love Goddess and her minion Kyu Sugardust.
This VN was based in the Sinfest universe and seems to be going along the same lines that the cartoon strip went. There will still be plenty of lighthearted moments, but the overall tone of the story will reflect the darkening times we seem to be living in.
That being said, one of the available endings will be the promised all-character sex orgy. In the end you will decide the fate of many of the characters.

After replaying the game and reviewing all the forum posts, I've been thinking the best approach may be to finish the Aiko date scene and then put out the update soon to address the technical issues that may arise in the two and a half years since the last release.
I know one issue that has already surfaced is that my entire save file was corrupted, which indicates to me that all the players will need to start over. That's around 12 hours of playtime to get current.
So far during all of my coding travels in the last four years, I have yet to find a source that tells me how to fix corrupted save files. Any thoughts?

From a developers point of view...
For now my approach would be to provide an official save file (or files) from your side. Saves everyones time. But even then one gets a warning during loading that said save was created on some other machine.

LOL, did you make that meme or was it already out there?
The problem is that my save files are all with the default options. Pretty much everyone else will want to be able to use their own save parameters and there are dozens of them in this VN.
I just wish I knew of a global fix that would fix everyone's save file.

I sometimes get that message because my game is on a network media server and I sometimes will play on a different machine on my network. It doesn't stop me from continuing to play.

This. While I would like to see the game finished, it should not be at the cost of his mental health. If he can do it without it affecting himself, then let him go for it.
Ah, interesting. I am using a new PC now than the one I was using two and a half years ago. I just don't see how this would keep my old save files from working. Also the Renpy version doesn't seem to be a factor. I'd sure like to learn how to deal with this because it seems to be a continuous issue.

When I truly surrendered and really took my first step of SAA, "I am powerless over my sex addiction and my life has become unmanageable", something happened inside my mind. My priorities changed. All of my relationships have changed now as well.
I've always have been an online extravert, but my interpersonal face-to-face relationships have always been stilted when I was around people I don't know well. That seems to be changing. Here are the promises that many 12-step programs espouse:

These seem to be coming true for me now. The relationship between my wife and I has completely changed and now she is flowing into her own 12-step program, ACoA (Adult Children of Alcoholics).
Does this mean we will never have any more problems in our relationship? Of course not. It just means we are in a better place to deal with them in love.
This newfound serenity may be put to the test if world dystopian events seem to encroach upon our lives, but hopefully we can face those together with a higher emotional IQ now (along with my step son living on our living room couch. Oh, we have a full house alright

Sorry about the wall of text. Bottom line, I'm not making this VN for the same reason I was making it before. Now this project truly is a way for me to help work out some of my remaining issues. It truly feels like this is what I'm supposed to be doing right now. So no worries about my mental health. I'm in good hands.
Ironically, I think the readers will find that this VN will now be less preachy. Sex scenes will continue to be portrayed, but perhaps in a different way. I really have no idea how it will play out when I begin to write and produce CGs again, but I think it will continue to be the same kind of bizarro world you've been seeing all along, because that part of me hasn't changed.
So let the dramady continue! This is going to be fun!

I think it might have something to do with the default save settings with the new version of Ren'PY in that the save is looking for the original files that is also in the save area. Like the "persistent" file or maybe something else, others have figured it out but I forgot what it was.
Thank you for that lead. By "coincidence", the step son on my couch just happens to be a programming expert conversant with Python. Maybe with his help I can figure this out.

Beginning the rewrite of the Betsy defloration scene at the end of Chapter 8. This was rushed the first time and now it's time to do it properly.
Work will proceed slowly for now as this is the start of our busy season (Fall) at my job with the healthcare corporation and getting overtime. However in three weeks we will be allowed to work from home every day until mid-January. I will no longer have my 3.5 hour commute two or three days a week, so I'll be able to spend more time on this project then.

After reading some of the posts by himself and others regarding the devs mental health, it seems the best course of action for him is to STOP doing this cold turkey! I am selfish and would like to see the game go on (or other very similar theme games) but ONLY done by someone other than him self.
As you say you are selfish, but selfish in a personal sense, he doesn't need others to tell him what not to do, and he has made it very clear what his GOALS are, don't think you are in his mind because you are not.
I understand your concern, and this is passing strange, a recovering sex addict finishing the porn VN he started. But it's become something else now. A story of healing and redemption, and as I've been rewriting the final Betsy defloration scene, inspiration flamed alive in me and it was revealed that Bunni is the true long lost daughter. I didn't even know it myself until last weekend.
Strangely as I'm working on this game now, the erotic images are no longer affecting me the way they once did as they are now simply vehicles to finish this story that that seems to be calling to be finished.
That being said, if my higher power tells me to stop, I will indeed stop cold turkey. Only time will tell.

Personally, I felt the game was over when the Dev went from Koikesu to HS2 mid-game. To me, that's like painting the Mona Lisa and starting with oil paint and half way through, switching to crayons. But that's just me.
It is true that the change was a bit of a turnaround, but Tawny gave the reasons because it was not intentional, but I still think that the good thing about this game is the theme and how well crafted the plot is and how it develops as you play it, I advise those who have never played the blue side to do so, that's why so many people love it, even though it has changed to HS2, I know that many of us support that.
