I think that was Krat?! And then probably meant by "got what he deserved". IIRC, with Fu we can just choose to kill him on the spot or send him out to take as many mutants before he can die (whether we trust him to do that remains to be seen though).
I shot Fu in the cock, then sent him out to face the mutants. :ROFLMAO:

Any chance of turning down the frequency of the ambush slave camp encounter when raiding? I just raided a camp with 10 runaway slaves.

I had 115 soldiers at 100% XP and weapons, and the camp turned out to have 117 soldiers lying in ambush. And I got wiped out. Flat. Heavy fire doesn't work because either they aren't enough enemies nearby for my numbers to tell, or if there are, I get grenaded to death. Suppressing fire works until the reinforcements arrive and then it's grenade time again, and the limited number of grenades and withdrawal points mean I can't use the hit and run tactics that might have worked if there'd been maybe 20 to a side or so.

OK. Let's say it's a well designed and well planned ambush and I got a spanking. As an occasional encounter I could live with that. But on slave camps particularly, it seems like it happens every sodding time I decide to play the aggressor. I mean, I had a full army there, top training and fully armed and I got hit by an equivalent force. If the runaway slaves have got that sort of firepower that they can sprinkle ambushes like that across the wasteland, why in hell haven't they just banded together and rolled over the city and mutant horde both by virtue of vastly superior numbers?

It's an intriguing game, but the combat gets really frustrating sometime.

Also, can I issue a memo to the effect that, if we win a battle, to do a quick check round and see if we can gather up some of the weapons that were issued to the dead soldiers? I can understand that the army XP is going to drop drastically if we lose 80% of our veterans and have to replace them with recruits, but surely all the battlefield weapons can't be beyond use?

I think it's just RNG.
I got about 6 in a row, when I was trying to gain slaves.
The 2k gold doesn't hurt, but still...

I can't understand Catherine starting to believe the words of that stupid cult. I mean, she's jealous of us and she may be using it as an excuse, but this damn cult is trying to destroy the world. From what the cult member next to Catherine told her, she had to understand that the cult was corrupt.

You are complete right, Fu the only thing that we can do is kill him, Krat that we can shot in the balls, Krat got what he deserve, Fu just got the easy way out, we could at least shoot him in the neck and see him bleed to the death.

I complete agree, now that she find her "true" love, she agree to destroy the hole world, and not enjoy the rest of their lives together? I have no idea what kind of drugs are in that paint...First Taina being complete nuts and almost fucking killing the mc twice, now cat going crazy and being mad that the mc want to live and not end the world...another character that is going to the shit....

Although Krat also does not survive it, as we know from a later conversation with Lori. Which is realistic, odds are: when you get your balls shot and no good medical treatment, you are dead.

Still some poetic justice.

See your point, but if he takes out some mutants as he goes, the enemy of my enemy is my friend & all that.
Don't need to like him, but made his death serve a greater purpose, for our benefit.
*On the presumption that he actually did go out fighting.

My army is only 300 strong atm, no idea how big the horde is, so currently urgently raiding for extra slaves.
50% of them to citizens, 50% of the new citizens to soldiers.
Any that Fu can deduct from their number is bonus to me.
If he betrays us and joins them, it's only +1.

Why mc can't attack dead fu's town and overtake it ?? Is it will come ??
Because the horde took it over and it's been destroyed.
Might come in future, but will require a large fight to gain it & probably need major investment for rebuilding.

lol Another new account Paapi? Rory Smith gone now, too? :ROFLMAO:

I mean I do that too when waiting for time to pass or something to happen in the morning briefings - but the way encounters were handled in the recent past with random maximum settings, I would guess that army size becomes irrelevant for this encounter (after a certain cutoff at least).

Wait, is he Rory Smith? Why is he change his account again? (why even he was change it first time?)
I think so. Same threads, same "I have android apk" posts.
I expect to see "turn basded combat", "NTR" & "sandbox" from him, soon.
He's a banned member who refuses to accept his ban. Must have had 35 accounts by now.

Way more than 35. I could rattle down more than 40 off the top of my head (it helps that 31 are basically the original name).

Thing is: it would be easy to keep one alive (Rory was working pretty well) if you just stop the behavior which will make everybody recognize you and which got you banned in the first place.

lol So true.
Might as well put up a neon sign saying "It's me, Paapi, really! Ban me again!" :ROFLMAO:

That is the thing about a cult, it is not rational. They believe in an afterlife, so this life doesn't matter, it's just an 'illusion'. So, killing everyone is not a big deal, since they will all just wake up together and happy in the next world, which is so much better than this one, and we know this because ...reasons.

Sadly, this is all too common, not just in fiction but even in the real world. The worse people have it in life, the more likely it is that they will develop some kind of afterlife to justify their suffering.

Now look at this world, not only is it horrible for the normal citizens, but it's even harder on the wastelanders, and they both have it easier than the mutants. They have been doomed to die early, they are shunned by the citizens, can barely get food, have to pay taxes (if they are in the city), and can't do anything about it. It only makes sense to have a nihilistic attitude, and faith in a death cult promising a better life.

Choosing "I love you too, Catherine" during the St. Radiance day event causes some strange HoMM runes to appear instead of English.
I do have the multimod installed, so I have no idea if this is a vanilla issue or due to the mod. Just thought this would be the best place to report it.

As an atheist, I know exactly what you mean. But my point is that Catherine continues to believe and respect him after what the cultist that Catherine spoke to said. From what the cultist told Catherine, we learn that everyone who dies will not go to Heavenly dimensions, and those who do not follow the teachings will go to hell dimensions. Also, the teachings must contradict the true love that Catherine believes in. Because Cultist wants to take away from him the woman his own brother is in love with, and he says he has a vision for it. But when his brother opposes it and dies, Cultist says he will suffer in a hellish dimension. It's illogical that Catherine didn't realize the contradiction here and approved of the cultist.
