Yeah, I missed that second part, never having allowed them to gather their forces. Main trick is to just have more guys than them, don't try without at least 100 troops, absolute minimum.

Regarding the ambush, ~60-70 troops with 100% weapons and 80+ exp will do nicely. spam suppressive fire until there's more than 30 gathered near then pop a nade and pull back.

Well in Lori's mother's quest it says wait for Yashada to die (complete other quests) means we need to complete other quests and over a period of time we will get that scene, but then all other quests are showing that they will be in next version so there is no quest remaining to be completed. Does that mean that it is a bug cause maybe the dev wanted to say Wait for Yashada to die (in next version) and put (complete other quests) instead by mistake cause no other quests are remaining to be completed.

Not a bug as such but misleading, yes.
The quest cannot be continued in this version when it says "wait for Y to die".
Gods I love this game. So whats the best way to do the holiday event. For me, it was all about visiting Megan and Catherine. Got to take care of my poor damaged souls.
Also, gods do I want to have a scene with Annabelle! It feels so cruel to introduce her with no scene (if you aren't a bastard) and still have nelson refuse your offer to marry her. lol.

Agreed, Megan and Cat seem like the best options.

increase your amy to a hundred at least then you can win without too much losses (approx 10-20).
Fire while being undercover (should kill 6-8 and loses 0 - 2 soldiers). Quicksave before in case they use grenades, when between 50-70 in close range grenade (you should kill 35 or 40) take cover and do again. If you do it right you should need only 2 grenade and cover change and slowly killing the rest whitout being overwhelm.
