A game question (v7.02)

Permanent Dominance topics seem to work differently on different characters even if not banned.
My PC has dominance 3 so I expect dominance topics give a -1 dominance to any NPC. But permanent topics like "In Control" or "Beyond Reprach" seem to work with some of them and not with others, while transient topics like "Yes Sir" or "Director" seem to work with no restriction.

I'm a little confused here. Can anybody please explain?

Okay so if you are talking to a character who has no interest in Dominance you won’t bring their Dominance score down. So instead you need to give them a topic that has Dominance and a tag that they also have an interest in.

An example would be Boozer Diane. Giving her Beyond Reproach will do nothing to her Dominance score, but giving her Yes Sir and Objectification which both have Dominance will. That is because Yes Sir has Order and Objectification has Slutty which she has an interest in.

Sorry for the confusion if I'm wrong. My game must be bugged then or something.

I've had it work with Gina on her brother fucker archetype (and the following brother crusher archetype). She doesn't have an interest in that topic. I've even have it work with Richard's first archetype. Dunno why that is, I guess it's a weird interaction with the competitive tag. Yet I didn't have it as a secondary interest for him when his domination score was reduced.

Ah okay so if we are talking about Aggressive and Competitive then yes these tags also bring down Dominance; as long as they have an interest in those tags or have a topic with those tags and a tag they have an interest in.

So I have to get Diane's dominance from 42 down to 10 to advance to the next AT, and I spend a while grinding out dominance. Now I find that I can't use those dominance topics to lower her dominance. Instead, the only dominance topic with another topic she shares that I have access to is Yes Sir, the only problem with that being that Yes Sir only drops for me one every 10-15 times view bondage porn.

So I now have to view bondage porn 320 - 480 times, to generate the needed 32 Yes Sir topics that I can then use in 32 conversations with Diane (but only 2 in an in-game day) to finally be able to advance to the next AT. Sounds like a good use of 2 hours of my life. It would certainly be nice if there were some events that could reduce it, seeing as there are events that increase it. NOTE: I am aware of the one sexual conquest event that is somewhat complicated to trigger, but I don't have access to a sexual conquest topic, but if there are any other please let me know since I have been looking for them and haven't been able to find them.

I really wish the developer were a lot more open to the fact that most people find this kind of stuff really fucking grindy rather than considering it actual real gameplay. There is a lot to like in this game, but every time I hit a grind wall on something like this it is soul sucking and frequently makes me drop the game for a while.

I am aware of some other possible solutions, like advancing Gina's ATs so I can get that other dominance topic from her (which I am probably going to wind up doing) or giving Diane a secondary interest that has dominance (which would also entail having to regrind to add the the secondary interests you need to advance ATs back afterwards even something involving aggressive (which is another one of those more difficult to get topics), but it just feels like an artifical wall that isn't really adding anything besides frustration to the game and I am pretty sure those other solutions will require just as much time as the Yes Sir grind.

I feel like dominance topics always lowering dominance, especially if you have dominance embraced, ought to be how it should work. That seems like an appropriate reward for having taken the time to grind out the dominance skill. Or that there should at least be some kind of easily repeatable event you can do on this AT to lower dominance.

Just had to vent due to my extreme frustration on encountering this issue.

Objectification does indeed also work and it's much easier to get. Roughly a 3:2 exchange of house rules (from cleaning) to spanking Gina (brother fucker/crusher) in the bathroom at 11:00 repeatedly. Yes sir was quite rare for me. So another thing you can do when you are low of objectification is slipping her a pink pill in the rot gut drink in the afternoon and do nothing with her in the event. Gets you -1 domination too, but only once a day.

Yes, i roughly did the same as Hajtand on this one: used a lot of Objectification and gave her Boring (also useful to get rid of your FPS Shooter Topics) and Thirsty (Sexual + Aggression) as secondary Interest to burn the Sports Topic i got from Career father and watching TV plus one or two Sexual Conquests. I managed to get 2 Yes Sir Topics from watching Porn and in the End didnt have to use them. And Brother Fucker Gina gives a Topic (cant remember the Name) with Incest + Aggression which was also a big hit to use. Meaning i used nearly as much Competitive and Aggression Tags as Topics with Domination to bring her down.

Getting Yes Sir shouldn't take 10-15 tries to get 1 it should be 3 tries, but you need to have 30 Arousal(or close to 30 when you start beating off) for all 3 tries. Usually I just go to the strip club and get a dance until my Arousal is close to being filled. Then I head home, beat off, and cum to Bondage porn. Beating off to Bondage porn when you are low on Arousal won't really help you to get Yes Sir.

It wouldn't make sense to have a repeatable event (not including the sex option that requires Sexual Conquest) with Boozer Diane to bring her Dominance down since she still has an interest in Submission. You get the Sexual Conquest through sex minigame with CF Charlie or BF Gina and making them cum 3 times during sex.

So i got a problem. Already maxed the AT for the rest of family member. Currently working on Becky to immediagram sister.
The problem i face is that dominance is currently -38 and i cant seems to increase it to -30. dosent matter what i do sence submission is banned, any ideas ?

try this: (put a joint in inventory at least one) 19:00 weekday, go to living room and agree to go to the park with becky, go to her bedroom right after and do photo shot, use option "tell her" and becky get her dominance score increased.

I was a bit surprised about, how the mechanics work, which Mikey_Boy101 so kindly explained. Beforehand in my own playthrough, I thought some of the topics were either bugged for certain people or they were opposed to them on principle with some hidden mechanics. With that knowledge in mind the best solution seems to be to "borrow" a temporary secondary interest to increase/decrease the dom score. Making Becky like the submission topic in one of her secondary interests and then spamming submission topics.

Clunky from a technical perspective and I think, the sub/dom feature should be changed. It's already it's own thing in a way. Why not make it more intuitively so? Like having it instead be an attitude the MC can have. Certain topics the girls talk about could have a special marking indicating it's open to debate. With the right tag in hand the MC could be submissive or dominating in the conversation. Once a threshold of a sub/dom score is met. The MC would need to do something much like how the archetypes are changed in order to further increase/decrease the score.

I guess iam stupid as fuck then. every time i force her to do something / use domination topic it says - 1-3 domination and then it goes down even further currently now at -41. If iam not mistaken to make her more dominant, i need to be submissive to her. which is currently on her ban list.

What i did was increase her Order. put on demanding sence yes man give sub + order. but it still dosent increase it toward zero domination.

So i can't play the game anymore it appears.
After playing for 40 minutes and not having a problem. Anytime I go to save now I just get stuck on the "Saving Bitches" screen (bit of a gamebreaking glitch I think to have the game break every time you go to save). Literally not sure how i can progress at this point as I am now unable to save.

What version are you playing because there was a bugged version that stopped people from saving. V.07.02 is the newest version that fixed that problem.
