IIrc, Gina's new AT in the coming update is her developing an incest fetish that is not solely focused on Nat.
Personally, I'm more interested in that fetish including Becky and/or Diane. ;)
But, I'm guessing it'll be Dick. (Assuming I do, in fact, remember correctly about what's planned next :p )

From a game mechanics standpoint, I like the idea of archetypes that MC can influence. This leads to characters that have interests that can be tweaked to match whatever your personal kinks are a bit more closely.

I'm not a fan of the randomized topics though. It's partly mitigated by the existence of permanent topics that you can unlock but you still end up with large numbers of random topics that require constant micromanagement and frequently exceed the limit of how many total topics you can have in reserve. I think I remember him saying he doesn't like writing dialog and that's what prompted the idea of the randomized topics. I can understand the desire to do that since writing dialog can certainly be a challenge, but I think it could still use a lot of work to make the current system less tedious for the player.

I tend not to play each version and just take it out for another spin every 6 months or so, but I find it mostly unplayable without the cheat mod due to the grind. With the cheat mod I can mostly ignore the randomized topics and just periodically delete them all and still make progress but that pretty much circumvents most of the built in mechanics.
I get that but why would you periodically delete the topics while playing with the cheat mod? You can just hold onto as many of them as you want and then use the game's built-in filter to find topics with the corresponding tags. Honestly, with the cheat mod's unlimited topic inventory and the new filter function, I really can't find any complaints with the RNG. It makes it just challenging enough to where it doesn't get tedious.

Might get flak for using the mod since it's not in the spirit of the game but I still try to play as normally as possible. Unlocking everything as naturally intended, etc. It's still fun trying to figure out the most optimal strategy without micromanaging the topic inventory limit, stamina, lust, etc.

Glad youre getting use of it. I tried to add not only cheat features, but also utility/reduce grind features, so that the core gameplay can still be enjoyed without just cheating everything to max in 1 click.

It's everything I could've asked for. I just wish I knew C# so I could help add to it. (Edit: For me, your mod has achieved that exact purpose of making the game less micromanage-y without completely erasing the challenge, etc.)

Do you have a separate mod thread or are all changes logged/updated on your original post?

Richard is something of a toggle. He'll be used to enable the AT's of others, so in short. Yes. especially considering Gina won my last poll with the AT focus of "Family First"...so...Richard will be getting a lot more attention from Gina soon :eek:

Oh, right. That happened to me too when I accidentally chose the wrong interest for her. Luckily, I think I had a save that was pretty recent relative to when that happened.

I wonder if anyone noticed it's been 4 months now since the last update, and we're only at the start of development cycle for Loser. Guess not, so that's a nice job on conditioning your players, Baal.

Also, nice job on making a game that's basically a grinding hell, and then creating a bunch of new "starts", which only purpose is cutting down on that grind. Spending developement time on solving game design problems you intentionally created - brilliant. Although I kinda wonder how many of your players look forward to play the game from the beginning again in order to test out all those wonderful starts, instead of getting to new content. I guess all of them (irony).

Never mind though. There's no hurry. Next Christmas is not that far away!

My guess is you never developed or designed anything in your life, or you would know that it is easily possible to make crucial design mistakes , especially in an engine you never worked with before.
And you clearly also not paid attention to the development either, or you would have known that Baal said that Superpowered 2 , his other game, will get another month (3 Month) instead of the usual 2 month, precisely because the last Loser cycle was 3 Month instead of 2 Month as usual, because of the technical issues.
You also would know that dealing with technical debt you accrued over the development of a product is hard, because if you start at one point you might open the gates of development hell and cause the whole building to collapse - which is precisly what happened last Loser Cycle.
But hey - that is easy to mistake if you do not know, the least thing you can do is get your math right though - the last update of Loser was on November 28th - that is not 4 month , its 3 month and 2 weeks and we are in the 2nd week of the new Loser Cycle - pretty much on time. So it will probably be 5 month this time between releases of Loser and not 4 month as usual - I would say deal with it.
And one last thing - if you do not know it might be better to be polite.
Btw. - if you want to know about the development - you can watch him livestream pretty much every day in Discord. And then you will realize how much he actually works on this.

I cannot unlock photography in Diane's interests, I bought the phone to enable photos but nothing happens.
In case I have a save if someone can unlock it it would do me a favour.

I'm not sure I understand this. Are you saying the phone is supposed to unlock her interest in photography?

If so, that's not it. You have to encourage her interest in photography the same way you'd encourage any of her other potential interests.

You need the phone to do the photo shoot events. That's its only purpose and that comes AFTER you've encouraged her interest in photography and transformed her AT to something actually has those events.

Topic gains are not random. Practically every action you do gives you some (usually 5-10) weight in a few topics (it's the same topics everytime you do that specific action). Once a topic has 20+ weight, it loses 20 weight, and a copy of that topic is added to your inventory. The only randomness in Loser occurs when you watch TV, Watch videos on your computer, or when Becky is deciding which livestream to do. Everything else is set in stone. It's just not 100% visible to the player, because too much information kills novelty.
