I wonder if anyone noticed it's been 4 months now since the last update, and we're only at the start of development cycle for Loser. Guess not, so that's a nice job on conditioning your players, Baal.

Also, nice job on making a game that's basically a grinding hell, and then creating a bunch of new "starts", which only purpose is cutting down on that grind. Spending developement time on solving game design problems you intentionally created - brilliant. Although I kinda wonder how many of your players look forward to play the game from the beginning again in order to test out all those wonderful starts, instead of getting to new content. I guess all of them (irony).

Never mind though. There's no hurry. Next Christmas is not that far away!
Eh, I used to be pretty frustrated with the game too. But the dev's made a lot of QoL improvements since then and the improved mod also makes the game a lot better as well. More QoL updates are appreciated.

TL,DR
Didn't like it before. I like it now. Don't really care about the long dev times as much anymore because I'm starting to not give a fuck about these kinds of games in general. This is one of the few games I'll actually bother to play now because it's something other than a linear story VN about a dumbass. Shit, might even start donating if the dev keeps it up. I think there's maybe less than 10 left that aren't doing the same contrived shit only to result in it imitating the very shit I tried to escape from by playing VNs, etc.

I acknowledge your gripes but I'm personally just not bothered about that stuff anymore for various reasons. The most important being the lastest updates improving the player experience.

Regarding photography I solved it, I had the phone I just had to buy fashion magazines to increase the interest in photography.
Now I'm at a standstill because I can't make progress with the "aggressive" tag for Diane, for Richard and for Gina.
I have completed almost all skills except sexual, immoral, etc. I have completed all the online research topics from the PC
I'm not sure I understand this. Are you saying the phone is supposed to unlock her interest in photography?

If so, that's not it. You have to encourage her interest in photography the same way you'd encourage any of her other potential interests.

You need the phone to do the photo shoot events. That's its only purpose and that comes AFTER you've encouraged her interest in photography and transformed her AT to something actually has those events.

Thanks bud. That's probably one the best compliments I can get, as I despise the current trend of bullshit VN's littering the game space, and I spent a crap load of time on QoL Improvements last update.

Not a total solution to what you describe, but topics with the "Competitive" tag raise aggression interest. This is particularly useful for Richard, since he likes topics like Stocks, Sports, and Sales Tactics. I don't remember the ATs for Gina and mom that need aggressive, (haven't played in a while) so I don't have advice for them.

ETA: IIRC you can get stocks daytrading or researching finance. You can sometimes get Sports watching TV in the living room. You get Sales Tactics by working at the boutique and up-selling customers.

Loitering in the park in the morning also gives aggression topics, but requires you to embrace disorder.

I always think of that when someone says "bud" lol. Don't know why. But seriously:

Yea, it got old. When I first discovered these kinds of games, there used to be more stuff that actually felt like games. Sandbox, leveling up stats, character relationship stages, etc. Now everyone's just trying to reproduce what popped off the most but 99% of them are shitty writers. Some VNs are still good but not many.

About the QoL improvements. Your effort towards them for sure shows and I appreciate the fuck out of that. It's a really unique game and the last update/future plans for similar updates really did make me come around.

Also, would it be cool if I proofread some of the stuff? I've done it before for another dev's Unity game so it wouldn't be my first time. If not, that's perfectly alright. No charge, I just like doing it. (Edit: the past stuff, not the current content.)

You can get Aggressive tags by playing video games, but not all will accept them. Online studying marketing helps as well(1 out of 3 attempts will give required topic). But the most reliable way - working as sale assistance in boutique.

Ah, yea. That's why I always start with Becky. You get Sports topics from talking to her default AT. Sports has the competitive tag which equals aggression.
Also: You need Fashion topics anyway for her default AT so ...
1. Research Fashion to get Style topics. Style is Fashion/Shopping.
2. Shopping at Rank 1 will unlock Money which unlocks Researching Finance.
3. Researching Finance will sometimes give you Day Trading topics. Which also has the competitive tag.

For Richard, I go immediately from Becky to him because I'll have a few Sports topics and I'll be researching Finance at that time which will also give me Day Trading topics.

For Gina, I'm not sure. It'd help if you told me what AT you're trying to change her to because for the most part, the daily interactions I did with Gina would bring her to most of the way there and I don't remember ever struggling with Gina's aggressive interest either. Catcalling could work which you get from loitering in the park before (I think) 12:00PM but it might not depending on what AT Gina is currenly at.

For Diane. I can't really remember which of her ATs needed aggression but if her current AT likes money then Day Trading will work just fine.

Other sources:
Another thing is watching TV to sometimes get the Sports topic. I might just be delusional but I swear I'd get more Sports topics if watching TV during the day and on weekends. Otherwise, I'd just get Porn topics. Especially at night.

There's also Sales Tactics that you get from working at the Boutique. Bring a Charming/Fashion topic because I've only ever gotten the Sales Tactics topic whenever I did an "upsale". Sales Tactics is Aggressive/Money.

The bathroom scene with Jesse will also give you Eye Fucking which is Aggressive/Rudeness/Seductive. Which probably won't well depending on the AT. But I usually use that on Tilley because it's the most efficient and you only get two times a week to talk to her. (Could use a lot more Tilley and Lisa btw, Gah-DAMN!)

My has a Typo channel explicitly for this. Feel free to hop in :D Now, if you're asking for like an excel sheet with the dialogue. I don't have the ability to extract dialogue currently. I am slowly moving toward a more condensed Dialogue engine that will be able to to extract dialogue into spreadsheets, and vice versa but currently, i cannot. That's the price of making everything from scratch.

I'll look into it, man. Thanks. (Just kinda too lazy to do that this week lol) I just wanted to help out with some of the unimportant stuff if I could.

Also, yea the other dev just extracted the dialogue (don't know how) into neat folders. Sent them to me through private message here. Then I just popped open a text editor and went to work on it. Then after I finished, I just sent them back. I just figured it was going to be the same kinda thing lol. My bad.

Wait, I think I remember now. If it's the Gina AT I think you're talking about, I think it was the Vandalism topic that worked for her. Or it was something else about crime ... can't believe I don't have that written down somewhere. But I guess if I didn't write it down then I must've thought it wasn't that hard to get her aggressive interest to 100%.

Now it tells me that to transform Diane I lack the aggressive tag, in the suggestions it did not mention this personality type

How do I flirt with Charlie (first AT) in the latest update?

In earlier versions, one would load a topic like Witty Banter in the item bar instead of the topic bar, but in the current version I can only load topics in the topic bar from the backpack, which doesn't unlock the flirt option. Am I missing something?

You need to have a certain interest level to have ability to flirt. This is a main bottleneck with Charlie in this version.

Okay, thank you. Once I reach said interest level, I'll be able to flirt by putting the relevant topic in the topic bar, then?

Oh yea, some actions/AT transformations require a topic with a specific tag. It's not that you need to increase Diane's aggressive interest it's that you need to have a topic with the aggressive tag in your inventory at that time. You just need to look for anything with an explicit "Aggressive" tag and put it in your topic inventory before you start that event with Diane.

So basically, before you even start that AT transformation event with Diane you'll need to have something like Vandalism in your topic inventory. It won't work with Sports or Day Trading because while "competitive" gives aggressive exp, it's not directly an "aggressive" tag.

It's one of those trap holes that would trip people up. Not sure whether those are intentional but if they aren't, it'd definitely be great to see those included in the hints somehow.

If I ever finish the guide I'm making for my own use, I'll maybe share it but I'd have to revise some things to make it good for general use since it's tailored pretty specifically to how I play the game. Plus, the new starts that are planned may change everything if I think it's better to use one of those starts. So I'm just kind of waiting for the next update before writing out anymore for now. Which works for me since I don't think I'd have time for a while to work on it anyway.

Appearance can also be a factor in early game.
Showering or Ironing cloths gives a temporary buff to Appearance.
So it's not uncommon to 'unlock' her, then (when the buff wears off) fall below her minimum appearance requirement.
You can still talk with her, but it locks out certain actions.
