New update on Steam just came through for Chapter 8
and yes it crashes if you use the current Chapter 7 walkthrough Mod
Anyone know when is the public release, last public update was like 3 days after the paid patrons. Wondering what the scheduling is.

There wasn't a public release last time, it's still locked for chapter 7.
Since the game is now on Steam I'm not sure they are allowed to give the game out for free.

Misc:
Fixed the bug where animations wouldn't play for some players even when the option is ON. (Changed variable from define to default)
If the animations still don't work for you even after this update, I added a temporary fix:
- Added a file to force the animations to play.
To make it work just drag and drop the file named "anim_force_play" to the /game folder.
