Guys just drop the NTR talk before it gets any worse which it almost always does. End of story no NTR. Don't like sharing don't chose it. The only thing forced is the futa dragon boss in episode 5 which will be a pain in the ass for anyone that picked the psych spec because it's immune to magic.
what are you talking about? NTR talk is what makes threads popular see

fit = True
tech = True
psy = True
gang = True

but i tried and only got the tech events
if (tech) then ....
if (psy) then ...
will give you both, except if the code jumps to other labels inside the tech content.

if (tech) then ...
else if (psy) then ...
will give you psy only if tech is false.

So it depends on how the dev organized his source code.
Putting everything to True does not mean you will get every content.

Which makes sense as scenes happen at the same time depending on your specialization, e.g. when you took psychology you're upstairs to find the old work of your father but if you chose fitness you go on a jog with Mira (if running shoes were picked up) at this 'time slot'.

Have to say you're pretty nitpicking. In a game with hundreds and hundreds lines of text a missed letter here or there is nearly unavoidable. We are human after all, not machines. Funny though that you misspelled specialization, Aiden and Lilly when writing just a handful of words. ;)

So you've barely seen anything of Elisa, Caitlyn, Mira and Aiden, but you actually can tell that they're all a bunch of weirdos you don't like? Okay. Speaking of judging by superficial first impressions. :confused:
I'm translating a 30,000 line japanese document into English. And I ALWAYS go back over my work to make sure it's okay. I've grown to be nitpicky.
Okay, I misspelled specialisation. Which is how it's spelled in the form of English I was raised on. I'm not about to change my spelling just because the game is written in American English.
Aiden and Elisa... Let's just say I've never seen a couple that speak to each other like that. It's a little too offhand given the experience of couples that I've had.
I just don't like Mira. Her first line to the MC was basically "Get a job, you lazy fuck! Then I might talk to you like you're human!" I don't like that attitude. Caitlyn's personality I personally find rather abrasive.

I know he isn't a robot, and this was the one time I didn't check my own spellings before posting. But veq thanked me, which was nice.

@veqvil
In time my opinions may change. Aiden seemed to be the only one concerned about the MC's crippling headaches and nightmares (aside from Amy), which actually made me like him. He's just a bit odd. Elisa seems cold. And weird. I might have been rather unkind to Caitlyn but given her first two reactions "Ew" or "You're too boring"... Nah. Nothing much to pull me towards her... Yet. Mira... Well, I get the strong, driven, overambitious woman mindset but she frequently crosses over into obnoxious. It's a hard line to tow and stick to.

I like Lilly and everything she may turn out to be. Sue me.
You did give them all personalities and are well able to write them that way.
*sniffle*

Don't apologise for your english. We all make mistakes.

Oh, one last thing. I was supposed to have a date with hot Becky but went shopping for swimming trunks instead.

So far, the narrative is really good and has a good flow.

Elisa seems cold. And weird.
All of them are weird in their own way, I mean you just have to look at their eyes and you immediately see that something's up. She also seemed pretty concerned about Amy to me, the moment they touched (or got close to each other she knew that something was about to happen. No idea how strong her "powers" are, but she knew and was shaken up. Maybe she has some form of visions, but is the type that says "Don't mess with other peoples' affairs" or something while Aiden is the one to take action when something bad is about to happen.

Yet. Mira... Well, I get the strong, driven, overambitious woman mindset but she frequently crosses over into obnoxious. It's a hard line to tow and stick to.
Have you ever met a woman like Mira before in real life? I have and I think it's a not too shabby image @veqvil paints for that kind of person. They're not always unfriendly and have this "you have to prove your worth to me first", but if you wanna get some points with them you more or less have to do it and if you wanna get closer to them you have to impress them, tame them, conquer them, earn them. Sometimes it feels like you have to break them a little bit, again not in a bad way, but still.

I like Lilly and everything she may turn out to be. Sue me.
Same here, even if I'm not into futa stuff or anything like this I still like Lilly from what I've seen, especially since fitness and technology both paint slightly different pictures.

I get that. Right at the end of the demo where he says "<Player Name>, to the left!" made me think "Fuck yeah! This is getting even better!" then BAM, end of demo. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU- I enjoyed it, overall. I'm actually biting my fingernails over a game for the first time since Secret of Mana was announced.

I have a hard time actually taking a personality like Mira's. Whoever said that she sets the bar impossibly high was 100% right. If I was the main character I'd have thrown my arms in the air, turned around and said "I can't deal with your shite", gone upstairs into my room, lock the door and leave via the window.

What I meant about specialization was not the question if you write it in British or American English. You wrote 'specialiation' which is not correct in both ways. ;)

Yes, the neighbours are not the common guys next door. But hey, that makes the game even more interesting, right? I mean, both daughters say that their father is weird. I think this whole family enhances the game because of their different personalities.

But I have to disagree on Elisa. She shows consternation when she recognizes something bad will happen to Amy. That's nothing a cold-hearted person would do. In fact both Amy and Carol have a high opinion of Elisa.

And while I agree that Mira is bitchy and arrogant, she impersonates a tsundere type of character. That means as soon as you get behind her 'curtain' she will probably show you her real herself. And in most cases tsundere characters evolve into beautiful and kind persons if they meet the right partner. That counts for games as well as real life.

@Squark the issue with Mira is that what we see is also a product of what happened while the MC was takinng his sweet time in Asia. She probably was told by Amy, how amazing the MC is, and when he returns what does she see? a jobless guy that took 2 years off to do some chillin and instead of moving forward, chills in a diner with his not-so bright pal. And besides, during the running scene, look at that ass!!!! some bitchiness can be forgiven.
And besides for being vampires the Barons aren't all that extravagant.

I'd assume you're doing this on a commision and your pay won't change dependiing on how the translation is recieved on the other hand veqvil has to do the coding, programming, creative writing, advertisement,public relationsh, promotional work, troubleshooting etc.

Nope. I'm not getting any monetary reimbursement for my time. It's a spare time project.
I know how much work veq has to do to keep the ball rolling on this. If I played it down any, then I apologise.

@Barioz
As I stated in my reply: "I know I misspelled 'specialisation'..." meaning I looked back at it and noticed my mistake. She does seem troubled by her premonition but I was more so talking about how she speaks to Aiden. From the brief snippet we have so far, it really does seem to be a bit of a distant relationship they have.

@Kukothemadhatter
What irks the most is the guy just got back from Asia. If I was just back from anywhere, the last thing I'd want is for someone to walk into my home and bark at me like I'm subhuman just for trying to be a normal human being. We're not all Miras in other shells. She doesn't seem to understand people at all - nope, scratch that - doesn't understand GUYS at all. She's perfectly cordial to Carol, Amy and Caitlyn, but to the MC? Bitch, bitch, bitch just because he wants to take a couple of days to reacclimitise.
He just got back, how the fuck COULD he have a job already?
I don't even want to break her, that's how little I actually like her. Great ass or not, she's just a huge ass IMO.

Well, I try to offer different body types, personalities, and stories. Adding another character who is again friendly and welcoming, was sort of too much for me. A person with extremely high expectations while also being disillusioned about what life is all about, was sort of a way to break the idea of everybody being nice and easy to get. Again I have no training, experience or talent in writing, so I might create situations which simply are bad, but I'm learning. So far I find it suitable for this project, of course with experience and knowledge I might end up finding it ridiculous myself. Well but I'm glad to hear Mira causing people to discuss her, which in my eyes is always a good thing :D

Yes, she is admiring Carol, a strong self-dependant woman with quite a large company and success, so her son must be equally successful and therefore different than all the "idiots" she has to work with. But well he is like I came back and I chill for now, unlike Mira who would immediately look for a job xD

Noo, there absolutely was no "playing down", you were just sharing your thoughts and also helped me with getting rid of grammar and spelling errors! I'm not a native English speaker and therefor unconsciously make mistakes (Once I'm tired I don't even try to differenciate between now and know xD).

@Kukothemadhatter I'm honored to have you think of me this way! Also with so many supportive people it's not even tiring to do this, it's actually really fun! :D

I wanted to have a variety of many aspects, and this, of course, ends up creating stronger different opinions. E.g. I have people hitting me up with messages stating that Amy was the most disgusting 3d character they have ever seen while some quite like her xD.

Regarding Mira being a "tsundere" that's sort of is the right category for her. She is used to acting cold and rough, but in contrast to her true nature this always seeks out a balance xD

Not every couple has the same kind of relationship. While Elisa might love Aiden deeply there is no contradiction that she doesn't like his kind of humour and thus scold him for his inappropriate jokes. Nothing unusual I see here.

She's perfectly cordial to Carol, Amy and Caitlyn, but to the MC?
I disagree. She isn't overly friendly with her sister either. If you listen to the conversation at MC's home or later in the garden if you took technology (2 conversations), she is pretty upfront with Caitlyn. The same applies to Aiden who she scolds both at the garden and the fashion store.

I don't want to type anything rude but I'm certainly thinking it. Even if your post was made in irony or jest it's not feasible for me to take it as such.
(I did feel the same way about Veronica in MotH initially, but that's another story)

@Barioz
Regarding the Mira/Caitlyn dynamic, I've seen sisters that deeply care for each other behave like this in public. It's actually quite common in siblings that are uncomfortable with feelings.

@veqvil
I've never made so many comments on any game in such a short span of time. Even for a 0.04, what you've given us is quite special.
About Amy being ugly... Her head IS a little too big to sit comfortably on her shoulders. It makes her look very waif like. Her personality made her grow on me. I'd have given her a slightly broader frame so it'd look right.
Your character writing and dialogue flow are what a lot of writers are sadly missing.
For a non-native speaker, you make so few mistakes it's really quite impressive. :)
