Good, better he gets some sleep and takes his time then wrecking himself for trying to keep at it for some halfway milestone/buggy update. Turning the general public (and his paying patreons) into your beta testers will just kill the project and the belief that it will get finished in a reasonable state.

One reason not to release a bug ridden version is we here on FP would know it was a beta to be tested, all those people from other sites would not though (yes it would be on other pirate sites within an hour). This could make for some very bad publicity.
Great to hear that the game is looking good, now for some bugs to be squashed, so Veq can be happy with the game and we as well and Veq gets the rest of the weekend and a few days to recover and relax.

Because as many talented developers as @Palanto Games or @Philly_Games could explain you better, there will be bugs and stuff that need to be fixed beforehand. And with veq being awake for such a ridiculous amount of time it's a guarantee he will need to address a lot of things. You don't want him to release dozens of hotfixes, right?

Besides if those two have agreed to help him and look at his code, chances are they will be able to help Veq repair what is needed in reasonable time if not too much damage done.

True, it was just a suggestion, but there are a few devs who actually make that work, the dev of the game The Company for example, releases alpha builds almost every three or four days to check for bugs, I'm sure there are others as well.No also because if he would have to release hotfix after hotfix, he will stay in that same frenzied mindstate for way too long.

Ya i basically gave him a hard honest talk and told him he has to stop, get some sleep, a good meal and a shower then look at it fresh. What he was doing was completely nuts. I admire his dedication but he needs to know when to call it quits. If he did this every update he would eventually burn out and I trust noone here wants that.

Yeah but for him that is standard modus operandi and like you said he releases content every few days, Veq works slightly different. Guess he may need a few dedicated bugtesters in future though, since he is trying to make a complicated game. Possibly Barioz and Galalala could help with that in future and work on walkthrough at same time for example.

Oh...errr...I'm afraid to tell you Galala is not continuing his walkthrough anymore. However, I will try to find a way to integrate it into mine. Might take a bit of time to make it work, though.

for some reason, life sucks and I am happy Barioz stand out to continue the WT.
( and people are lucky that they won't fuck up their brain AGAIN with the complicated calculation in my WT :biggrin: )
