@zeppelin, if your intent is to make a "counter argument" against the people defending a developer, referring to them as "being tribalistic and irrationally defensive" is really not a good way to get them to listen. Instead, you've insulted them which leads me to question your motives.

Why bother with a post on the 28th of January titled 'last post before release' and then still not release 5 weeks later, tbh veqvil, I think everyone would just be happy with a proper update on whats going on with the update. Two weeks of silence is just causing arguments amongst fans

Again, read the TOP of his Patreon, it says UPDATED on February 20, he tends to keep his news free to non-patrons and at the top of his page.
i got a feeling it is a trial for the game but he will likely update when him got a good income i guesting job got his time and making this game is like a dream job until he can make money from this game like him not update as fast we will like but i ok with waiting and hopful i can help he with money by donating someday

It will come out when it comes out. I have been following and supporting this game almost from the start. Veq is still learning coding and I know that one of the people that sometimes helped him with the coding is very busy with real life and the game he is coding for himself at the moment. I just hope Veq keeps his calm and does not try to go into overdrive mode again. In the past that always meant just some game breaking bugs and long delays in releases that were almost finished and a tired Veq.

Truth was spoken! The faster they work, the more bugs the update has, and the more complaints they get. Patience is a virtue. I don't start worrying until it hits around 6 months of silence. And, even then, I have so many games I follow, I still have plenty to keep me busy while waiting.
