please share your save with us pleaseWelcome back veqvil!
I just finished my first 0.08 playthrough. It is a very good update/upgrade. The writing is very good, the story still very engaging and the renders are great. The options' "cleanup" was a good thing too. It reduces chances to "lose" your path.
The main problem IMO with the game is exactly that: the paths. They are too many, too exclusive and appear too early in the game. As the game grows longer the dev will struggle with all that content and the replaylabilty of the game will diminish since the player will have to play the game from very early stages to get to another path (and more content). I know about the control/skip ability but it is still time consuming (just think of the in-house navigation you have to do for each playthrough). Veqvil is an outstanding creator and I hope his next games will be more "balanced" in that aspect.
A couple of minor things that bothered me and I'd like to mention:
1. Since many of the events of the game are time (morning, afternoon etc) sensitive, it would be very useful to have the current time of the day displayed permanently somewhere on the screen.
2. Having to watch MC's penis for so much time during the showers is not fun.... at all.
3. The process to get MC to sleep for the night (from the moment you click on the bed to the moment you re-gain his control), requires 8 clicks! Are they really necessary?
It is still an amazing game and I can't wait for the next update!
Thank you so much!!!
QuestLog is great to get you through the main story/tasks. But the long term results of the options you make to the path(s) you want to take is extremely important for this game, due to the exclusivity of those paths. So a walkthrough like yours is really essential!
My save won't do you any good. I was mainly interested in the story progress (since 0.07 ended in a cliffhanger) and messed up the paths. IIRC the only sexual content I saw was Elise's masturbation scene.please share your save with us please
The situation with the Amy submission content getting locked out by Carol love is not intended, I will adress this issue in the next update! As for the big amounts of paths, that's where votes will come into play. I had a quite detailed post about that a long time ago. Essentially the votes are not just cold hard voting, rather allow me to balance things out in case it's neccessary. It's weird that the dev seems to have actually made it harder to experience more content in one run in this iteration too. E.g. In 0.7 it was perfectly feasible to run Carol love & Amy Sub concurrently. Just go Carol love, research dad and confront Amy with the dildo to kick her into the sub path. Now if you run Carol love, Amy's sub will refuse to trigger. The game is called Love & Submission after all, not love OR submission one person at a time.
I like this game more than enough to run 2-3 different versions to see how it goes, but running a dozen+ mutually exclusive paths is waaay excessive IMO and risks the dev getting burnt out or making each path too shallow to fit the breath of it.
While I can't promise such thing, I can confidently say saves from now on should work with future updates. (I did quite a good amount of hidden coding work to make sure I have an easier time updating and reworking.Just a reminder for you all: If you're tired of waiting for the fade-in transition while free roaming, just turn on Skip transitions in preferences instead of holding down the Ctrl key.
Also, I'm expecting another saves restart or more, depending on when Vequil can redo the older scenes he's planning, and how many he can do at a time. At the very least, we'll have to go to a save before those scenes start.
I didn't remove or reduce the amount of content in the game (that would be crazy xD) BUT Amy submission right now is a little buggy and totally exclusive in the Dale household which is not intended.Have the submission scenes been disabled for this build or am I being dumb again?
Can anyone lend a hand?
I do agree with you on most things, regarding the crazy workload connected to the amount of paths, also Instead of having just solo paths I have threesome paths connected to the households (Dale and Barons).I was just going to post about this, but I agree 100%. To me, there are two basic ways to build a game like this:
1. A game where each love-interest is treated separately as if they don't exist together. This is fine to have a lot of branches because each branch is somewhat individual path and not affecting the others.
2. A game where there's a central storyline with important characters there and added with side characters. In this type of game (including LaS), it's best to focus on the central storyline and kept side character content minimal.
My worry is that LaS have quite a few side characters (Becky, Lily, and Jenn ... add Sara to the list if you consider her as side character), and they seem to have even more branches too which makes the game bigger and bigger and bigger. Of course I can't say what the dev is really capable of doing and what is "too much work", but I think it's always best to keep a game development progress to be something that is manageable.
A lot of the mistakes done in many games is that they are too ambitious and then burned out before they could finish it, or simply don't have the capability to finish it because the game ends up being more than what they can do. It's much easier to start small and then expand, rather than start too big and then shrink the game.
On a personal basis, I'd like the game to focus more on the main storyline, keep the love-interest tighter on the Dales and Barons, and only include the side characters as they get involved in the main storyline (e.g.: Jenn helping out with hacking if needed, Becky helping out with Duke, and Lily being friends with Amy) rather than the side characters having their own mini-story.
This is mostly vote dependent. Also Becky Subm was voted as second winner . Cheers.Hey veqvil I hope you don't mind me asking but can we know what characters would be the focus of next update? I really want to see more of Becky soon she's such a compelling character.
Thanks for the advice!Just an advice for veqvil : don't waste your time in pointless rework of old renders, everyone gets better with time, your renders even the older ones are decent they don't need a rework, what are you gonna do in one year when you get even better, another rework ?
don't waste your time just make new content, and i would have another advice about that, you made too much routes ! too much paths ! and all these paths doesn't work together that's a VERY bad decision when you have a limited production capacity, you will end up updating one path and letting aside 10 others, make one main path with some variations of some events like most devs do, know your limits, don't go for an impossible goal of producing a game with too much paths.
its never too late. If only one person uses the signature it was totally worth it
Hi) Could you make an Aiden signature?its never too late. If only one person uses the signature it was totally worth it
