Don't forget she also deleted the Isaac video. Which MC could use to be able to see for himself the vibe of the conversation and body language. Every single time she has to pick a side, she always picks one that is against MC having more agency in his life.

Same with her being sent by Lacey to bring him back to the fold in one of his cliff outbursts. He wasn't suicidal, just had decided to divorce and leave everything behind. But Anna pulls him back in.
Thats part of what i meant by becoming the fixer of the relationship, Lacey fucks up and she comes to the rescue. Allowing lacey to tell her version of the story with barely some remarks, like the deleted video that you rightly mentioned.

As for the cliffs...they really through he was gonna off himself. Thats what made Mia attitud so bad, she was like, "yeah dude im here forced to be. Go on, do whatever you want. We are waiting, do a flip"

The succubus isn;t that good and also, Dianna has no interest in the MC
More than that, she has first hand experience and she is already at the end of the journey. She is cautious about Lacey, shes not gonna antagonize her directly since she dosent have anything to win but shes not gonna fall into Lacey piramide of control like the others.

Now a Dianne full stalker that made her mission in life to save that man (MC), that would be funny to watch.

Here's my thing that's based purely off speculation. Lacey, Mia, and Anna are all targets of NTR villains (I don't remember if they say them by name, so I suppose it's possible it could be Lacey, Mia, and Veronica or something like that?). However, I don't think the NTR villains would target them specifically unless they actually thought that they would have a chance to win. You don't look at someone who isn't damaged and be like "Yeah, they are going to be a huge slut/whore/drug addict for me"

So, I think that MC's perception of Anna is a bit skewed. She was there for him when he had no one, so I think that he doesn't see/comprehend some of her flaws (though we as players get some hints to them).

The reasons for going after Lacey and Mia are pretty obvious, especially Lacey. So, I'm thinking there has to be something about Anna that we don't know yet either. It could be nothing, but I'm not convinced that Anna is who MC thinks she is

I think we should really think about the fact that the author made a specific point to say "Not everything you see is objective" at the start of the story. The professor might have just used it as a "this allows me to retcon things if I need", but I feel like they must have had something specific in mind when they wrote it

Perhaps Anna's inner conflicts and flaws are there as a crutch for the author, so he could explain how a drugged-up Anna would believe that she could replace Lacey if she ...goes through the Lacey experience. The drugs don't change her personality, so her willingness should have something else behind it.
She might think the MC would at the very least give her a better pseudo-Lacey treatment if she was more damaged.
What in all that is holy are you on about?

Unfortunately, they already are painted as cartoon villians. More than once. Yes, it was the Succubus, the Pimp and the Banshee they were referring to. The disney princess was not brought up.

You may be on to something here for sure...something the MC has not picked up on...or just a loaded gun narrative.

Well, with the whole unreliable narrator, and I will need DeviantFun here I think, at what point does it definitively switch from the MC recounting the past to actual present time?

They are specifically targeting Lacey, Pimp and Anna, they say their names two times I think.

Their objective is to separate MC from them, which is a recurring theme during act 2, with MC being the glue etc.
A bit of a weird angle if you ask me, but that is ok.

So, I think that MC's perception of Anna is a bit skewed. She was there for him when he had no one, so I think that he doesn't see/comprehend some of her flaws (though we as players get some hints to them).
She was, and maybe he doesn't understand her completely (even if MC has the gift of perfectly reading people, as can be seeing in the promotion party).
Don't forget that Anna abandoned him at some point in junior year (I want to say beginning?).

The reasons for going after Lacey and Mia are pretty obvious, especially Lacey. So, I'm thinking there has to be something about Anna that we don't know yet either. It could be nothing, but I'm not convinced that Anna is who MC thinks she is

The problem I have with "not everything you see is objective" is the constant change of perspective.
We see plenty of perspectives, sometimes with Lacey alone, sometimes with Lacey and friends, sometimes with Jared alone, sometimes with FV.
So what do we make of those, is it MC that asked them to recount what happened and then makes hos own idea?
I think we should drop the MC perspective point and accept that it was an early idea that got a bit forgotten for storytelling purposes!

Well what trait of Anna that Mc recognizes you think is wrong? this is a genuine question, I am having troubles with her.

Well, with the whole unreliable narrator, and I will need DeviantFun here I think, at what point does it definitively switch from the MC recounting the past to actual present time?
It seems it is done already at the beginning (what I meant here is the split between past and present is set at the beginning).

"There's me."
"I'm in my early 20s."
"I've been blessed with a lean physique that some women seem to be attracted to."
"And I'm also pretty well..."
"Anyway that's not important right now."
"I'm coming up on my one year wedding anniversary."

So everything after the missed anniversary IS present time, act 2 is full on present time for sure.

CrysusPariah2 would it make sense for you to add this to the timeline?

Exactly what I thought. So if we see something now, it surely cannot be objective can it...unless literally everyone is lying to everyone to so no one knows anyones true intentions.

I think that's a reach personally so I'm with you, it was an idea he initially toyed with and has been dropped.

Anna on drugs? For what? The drugs where never the problem for the MC. To make Anna go full slut like Lacey in college? Thinking that if she hurts herself, Mc will care for her more? That if she hurt him he would be more attentive to her? MC see Lacey college version as something disgusting and horrible, if Anna made something like that to her it would be like shooting herself in the foot. It would only hurt her and her interests. It would, like MC said to Lacey, Anna killing "his Anna"

Theres better ways. She could go AWOL for a month on the couple and they would be in deep trouble since she is the middleman between both of them when things go bad, and they go bad recurrently. They both need her.

The worst part of her story is her sudenly settling for the Lacey treats that she sends her way instead of fighting for the MC. And for that she dosent need to drag herself down, instead she just had to present herself, she was a better option for MC at points of the story, she just had to keep at it. Instead she backed down.

the author made a specific point to say "Not everything you see is objective" at the start of the story
I think that we are beyond that point, that was more for act 1 and more for motivations of the characters than anything. The big reveals about the characters personalities have happened already.

Not saying that there wont be twists on the story, but i doubt that there is a "X girl was a baddie all along since the begining of the game." waiting for us.

The villains want Anna in the special K girls group. If the MC actually goes to Vegas, Anna will be alone and most of you agreed that she'll probably be targeted.
How will she be targeted though? Well... Perhaps she will be kidnapped. And on day 1 of the KW, when the MC exposed his deep dark fantasies, Anna did show particular interest in being abducted and screwed for a few days straight. If the villains somehow know this (some of you agreed that they might have mics in the house), they could bind her eyes and keep quiet, and have her believe, at 1st that it's the MC and Lacey's thing.
Or perhaps they forcefully drug her, and in that uninhibited state, she'll set aside the logic she's "famed" for, lean into her deeper, darker desires, and try to become more broken, like Lacey. Because she knows exactly how the MC will treat her afterwards, and so do we.
I believe the author might have built her the way she's build, precisely for this possibility.
Otherwise, even drugged, her personality has no reason to change, as per Lacey's statements. The villains drugging her would be pointless to the story. She wouldn't be in danger of becoming a slut.

This might be tied to my VERY limited literary capacity, but single character perspective works only for single chapters or short stories, where then the other perspective or an objective perspective is shown to amaze and confuse the reader.

One of my favourite author(s) is the wu ming collective (formerly luther blisset) that actually separate the narration between themselves to create the intertwined storylines, I always suggest "54" as a read, I think it is a masterpiece.

The way to separate Anna from the group is obviously rooted in her resentment towards Lacey and then to the trio for expluding her from the trip.
I don't even know where the drug angle comes from, since Anna knows full well that MC doesn't like "party girls" (stated by her and him both).

And yeah I doubt the girls will betray MC, they will be doing do unwillingly OR the baddies will fake it.

MC has the gift of player perceptiveness and renpy rollback in that party

When those aren't in play, he can't read shit. He is slightly above the average ntr protag in perceptiveness, but that's an extremely low bar.

One of the reasons I cringed at the manipulation line for the no fun path, beside that it makes no sense compared to what the other two represent, was exactly that. I was like calm down Machiavelli, you couldn't manipulate a puppy if you tried.

Honestly Anna in act 2 was a strange one , with the slutting it up on the kings weekend ( because she thought they where drifting) odd way to fix it , now she doesn't even get called to help the MC

From what I can remember anytime Lacey needs help with the MC now ( more recently but I can't remember when it started) she seems to call Mia for help

But back to Anna the only way I could describe her in act 2 is and I'm sure we have all been there is have you ever had a job you don't really try in , so the higher ups want to sack you but they don't actually have anything to sack you over...so they just give you all the crap jobs hoping you quit instead :ROFLMAO:

Only if Anna doesn't heed the warning from Mia and doesn't go with them to Vegas, so act 3 will be decisive if Anna decide to go with them to Vegas or stay home, at this point we don't know yet what she will do, but if she can be near the Mc i think she will go Vegas too out her own pocket, unless Veronica forbid her vacation.

Anna does not work for Veronica, only Lacey does, and Anna has a romantic date with MC lined up, with real kiss included.
Maybe a sex scene too?

To be clear Veronica is in the art department, Anna works in accounting.

i was checking this, and some of that almost happened word by word, will happen, or became close to one of the Kings weekend fantasies.

L "I will let you buy the largest dildo on the market today,"
L "and I will stuff it up my ass and ride it like a goddamn pony until you get bored of it or I die trying."
L "You want me to share our bed with another woman of your choice,"
L "And have us treat you like a king?"
L "I don't care who it is. I'll do it."
L "You want me to convince Mia to let you tie her up for a couple days and you turn her into your personal cum rag,"
L "I will make that happen."
L "I will convince Anna to let me wear a strap-on dildo and you and I will tag team her until she's a quivering, depraved slut."
L "You want another week long free-pass?"
L "It's yours."
Yes the name predicted for the girls are wrong, but the largest dildo became the black Isaac lookalike dildo. The sharing the bed was with Kelly and maybe in future sharing MC with girls scenes. The king thing happened to a extent. The tie someone up (kidnapping) and the strap-on tag team are outright some of the fantasies of the Kings week.

I had a long response written up, but I deleted it because it's all speculation, and since there isn't enough information about college yet, it's just not worth discussion (yet). I'll summarize it by saying that Anna and Mia both specifically mention that their actions were based off seeing how badly Lacey was hurting MC. However, Anna has already seen that. She left MC during Sophomore year over it for a few days, and then again in Junior year.

Even the dildo is one of the fantasies!

This is a great correlation that I missed.
Kudos.

That is a shame, as long as we give a warning it is fine to speculate!

You know that the cockknoker 500 WILL make an appearance, yes?

L "My ass was made to be destroyed by you at your leisure."
MC "Do they have something bigger than the cockknocker 250?"
L "Yes, they have the 500 series."
L "They're inhumanely large."
MC "Buy one. Bright pink like the last one was supposed to be."
