Nah, something similar is gonna happen in act 3, i can feel it... Its vegas, it always comes with a quick visit to a chapel to get married by elvis... Its kind of the law, you get to vegas you get married... Im saying Lacey gonna end shitfaced completely drunk and about to get married to a stranger just to get saved moments before by the MC. With a new discussion on how "little" marriage means to her.

I agree with the shitfaced part, as we previously talked about.
I just don’t see why the other guy would end up trying to marry Lacey instead of just straight up taking advantage of her, considering how out of it she would need to be for either

Rationally I would agree that would be plausible

Well... i cant say its not a possibility, but it would meant goodbye to the "do better" resolve that Lacey has. So all Lacey Act 2 scenes would have been for nothing.

What its possible, and one of the patreon post of the dev saying "Lacey plans advances a little" or similar, sorry i dont remember the exact words, its to DeviantFun dismay, a possible MC/Lacey/Mia threesome that also serves as a revelation of Mia secret to Lacey.

I am more apt to believe that a lot of these issues are simply writer oversight, a fall through the cracks in the process. Let's be honest here, we aren't talking about Tolkien level writing here where languages, cultures, regions and characters were developed to extreme levels before the story was written and then iterated over until formalized.

It is very likely that much of the disconnect concerning the scrutiny that people have had over the characters are simply disconnects to which the writer has not ironed out to such a level of detail.

This certainly is not a dig on the professor as what he has provided under the circumstances and to be honest, audience to which this is presented, is quite a feat in the writing and I will say after reading his story, all other works on this site pale in comparison and have ruined me to what I now expect. Seriously, I can't even stomach anything else here after his works.

I am leaning to a lot of it being due to that, but I also don't dismiss that he has some grasp of this issue and will remedy as he can within the means that is possible for this story.

I would love to see him finish this eventually, then go back through once it is finished, shore up the various issues and maybe even do a tech revamp with updated AI voice, video, etc... because if this story was truly polished, I think it would be quite the feat.

Careful there...even he had his moments. He is the guy who shoehorned Tom Bombadil into the story from a different one because he didn't want to waste the character, which is why he such an enigma and just doesn't fit at all.

The interesting thing is that the MC would likely accept her revenge and end up blaming himself for all of it even though Lacey has been pushing him to this type of thing the whole time.

It would be another Lacey over reaction "oops" that would work right into her manipulation wheelhouse.

That said, I seriously doubt this will be the direction of things... The Lacey part that is, but... I can see the MC getting himself into the dog house in some way with this to which she "may" use it as a means later on to... well... "oops" her way out of a future disaster.

Granted, this theory goes against the DeviantFan take on her character progression... sheesh... I am being corrupted to the dark side of Maviarab. LOL

One of the worst presented moments of the game, made VERY little sense for Lacey to act like that and for MC to cave in like a doofus.

They JUST went through Bastion, Jared, Isaac.....and this is what happens?

Agreed. My hope is that with this whole "MC Healing" in Act 3, that maybe we see him act more like a man rather than a emotional simp that caves. I would love to see him put his foot down AND stay to it, to seriously show some force in his position.

When he came out from the Barty fake and everyone was in fear... I want to see him command that level of respect, not from rage, but from controlled and tempered focus of will, of determination to see HIS will be done and for all to fall to the ground to his demeanor.

I know that sounds fanciful, but he already has their hearts and their sexual desires, it wouldn't take much for him to find a backbone and reel in everything else, if he could only... find that backbone.

Honestly though, this would have to be in the final chapter because once he reached that level, all the shit would stop, or he would walk out.

I hadn't said something before, but it really bothered me that nobody in the game stopped and ask. Why the hell is Mia responding to Lacey the way she did. She had to know Lacey thought she was texting the MC. Them Mia continues to do Mia things and nobody calls her out on it.


As for the Vegas speculation...
In all seriousness, I think a likely outcome is that things go very well. MC and Lacey grow closer and Mia is all nice and things are perfect. Then Lacey convinces Mia to come out of her shell and chare the MC with her. It's a beautiful night. Mia finally finds pleasure with someone. Then as everyone is lying together in bliss she says something she will later playoff as graveyard humor. Something like "Do you think my first time was as good as yours Lacey?". Lacey will say something without realizing how the MC is feeling after that comment and everything will blow up. The MC will storm off and probably stay the night in Janette's room. (I really wanted to say he would find Kelly was in a room next door and stay with her but I decide not to).
