No worries man, whatever you do it has to come from your passion to do whatever you want to do with the game. It would be interesting to see how the protagonist deals with it (and I think it would be fun to see how much chaos he's creating by the end of the story or not, it's up to you to decide). Will you be adding new characters to the story? And maybe a harem ending? Sorry to ask a lot, I'm just curious in which direction this game will go.

I appreciate that! Yeah, heh, I've thought about the chaos that'd come from all this. I've largely leaned towards the characters not finding out about each other, but I am pretty open to a harem ending (highly debatable whether or not to include Stella in that because I think that'd just be...a lot of fucked-up-edness for her to process. But maybe I'll do both).
I have soft plans for adding new characters to the story. I don't really want to detract from the "main 3" (or 4), but I've thought it might be fun when your stats get ridiculously high to see if you can seduce a fan after just a few brief interactions. I've also thought about using another model I have for Sally, the Record Label agent, and potentially including her (but not any time soon).

I'm mostly joking, but I have observed that people consider 1.0 to be a completed version of a game and that versions tend to lead up to 1.0, usually starting at .01 or something like that. Usually new releases on here labeled as 1.0 get a lot of comments about it not being a correct numbering system for versions. It's kind of an in joke at this point on F95.

I see. Thanks for telling me! To be fair, that would make sense to me. Ren'Py defaults to 1.0, and I always assumed that was meant to represent the initial alpha version. I never considered it might represent the finished version (I'd be curious to know what PyTom intended). Thing is, I'd feel kinda weird changing the version number at this point.

Good to see you here and great to see you're chill. I don't know how much longer do you plan to go with this game in terms of Chapters... Let's just say for example that you planned 50 Chapters (xD), this would be version 0.1 then. 1.0 is, in this forum's perception, a "completed" base game, let's say. I bring it up because I would like to see this game to last for a long while given the premises.

I'm glad!! Honestly, I was thinking something like 10 chapters might be a clean round number, but I'm always coming up with new potential content (I had them start out as juniors in high school so that there'd be time for a senior year to continue the same vibe if I wanted to do that). I've been working on this very slowly on the side for the last 3 years or so (with much more fervent development this past month), and I currently imagine I'll continue with more focused efforts for the next year or two. A lot of the framework is in place (it took me FOOREEEEVVERRR to come up with the conversation mini-game. I went through like 8 ITERATIONS before arriving at something I didn't hate that seemed replayable and interesting), so it's a lot easier now to focus on writing more story and making more CG's/animations.

Version 1.1.0 is out! In f95 terms, we'll call it "Version 0.2."
Created and added several icons for your stats, to help improve readability:


Fixed several bugs (Julie not feeling guilt for the couch sex, Julie sex counting twice instead of once in one scene, it being IMPOSSIBLE TO AVOID BEING CAUGHT if you fail the first suspicion check, little things like that).

Reduced sex penalties and significantly buffed Love's role in the lust check formula. It'll still be tough to have sex with the same girl more than once or twice this early in the story, but it shouldn't feel quite as hopelessly impossible.

Continued the story a little further, but not much.

My two cents, but I think most things being "chance based" is a big mistake. The story is fantastic and the sexy scenes are very well done and written but if people have to replay the same encounter over and over just because of a coin flip, even if they have the necessary stats, I think it might ruin this games potential as youll just get a lot of people skipping through all the hard work you put in here. Best of luck though, I liked it once I cheated and got past the chance check

Hey, thanks for the input and the kind words!! I hear what you're saying.
Frankly, I think you're totally right that plenty of people will skip past things, never even notice that they missed something, or quit out of frustration. But I have a few things to note:

1. Many VN's hard-lock you out of 80% of the sexual content by locking you into 1 out of 5 routes. Instead, I soft-lock you out of a similar fraction across the board, except as the game gets longer, that ratio will skew greatly in your favor (see Point 2).

2. The card stat growth is exponential. Things are about to get insane. I think once the next two chapters are done, it'll be quite unlikely you make it through a run without an opportunity, and anything beyond will only be more likely. Plus, the more you do it with the same person, the less guilty she feels each time. Reliable, ongoing affairs will definitely be a thing.

3. I'm...a gambler at heart. I'm a big fan of RNG that's tempered by decisions. User control is very important, but ultimately, the thrill of passing a check is just so satisfying to me every time (even now!), and it's been pivotal to replayability. I wouldn't have very much fun playing a story for the hundredth time if I knew exactly what was going to happen (I am saying this from experience, back when I first started writing/playtesting this VN).

tl;dr: I've made my peace with the downsides of the RNG. And I think you'll also be surprised how different it feels after a couple more updates

Using RNG to determine relationships in an Adult game novella is a weird choice. You have to know your audience and know the primary reason why they are here on this site. Playing the entire game with the risk of not getting any scenes because of ~chance~ is arbitrary bad design. However, this is your game, and you are free to develop it as you like.

I enjoyed the sex scenes in this a lot more than I expected.

I'm sure others have said it, but not a fan of the RNG. On an initial playthrough I got one sex scene with the mom, one with the best friend's girlfriend, and one with your actual girlfriend Stella lol. I have no idea how I managed to even achieve that. I can understand the idea of wanting to increase "replay" value, but the RNG in this game means that even if I wanted to pursue a specific girl or seek out certain scenes on a repeat playthrough it might end up that I get fuck all on a repeat playthrough lol. There are just too many layers of RNG even for trying to appeal to repeat playthroughs in my opinion. I tried a second playthrough, but after what felt like half-way through I ended up getting 0 sex scenes with anyone lol. At that point it's just a waste of a player's time in my opinion.

I just cheated and save scummed the RNG parts in order to see what I assume are all of the sex scenes. It's a nice touch to include minor dialogue to acknowledge a previous sex scene if it's already happened.

The writing is clearly what carries the sex scenes in this game. It's pretty neat to incorporate moments where you put in two text boxes to have both characters say/think something at the same time. It adds a level of immersion that I didn't realize could be added when compared to standard VN format of one person talking then another all the time. I was surprised how making most of the sex scenes face to face missionary did indeed add to a level of intimacy.

I'm just curious but is there a particular reason why the models don't have nipples and no genitalia is shown? In a weird way I didn't really mind it the first time I saw it in a scene. It worked pretty well for me when the scene kind of worked around it by having the MC press up close to the female model in such a way that her breasts would be pushed up against him. However it kind of totally lost me when the scenes would just show full on naked boob, but no nipple. It just reminded me of Ken and Barbie dolls and I couldn't help but laugh at how silly it ends up looking. Iirc it was also somewhat disappointing where I believe there's one scene where the mom actually gives a little bit of a blowjob to the MC, but it was purely in text form only.

While I do find the lack of nipples mildly off-putting, I'm a little concerned/curious about how future sex scenes in the game will be. I don't know how many times just plain missionary sex showing only the waist up while underneath a blanket will really work. There were some scenes that had a girl riding the MC, but again I just think the lack of nipples holds these types of scenes back.

Also I know this is definitely not going to happen because of how the ladies scream MC's name in the text, but it would be neat-o to be able to enter my own name for the MC lol. I don't know about others, but often times I end up not even trying games where I can't rename the protagonist lol.

The links say 1.0 because I didn't know about f95's way of naming things when I released the first edition, and I don't want to rename it to something earlier and confuse the people who aren't on this site. For your intents and purposes, it's 0.2.

I've read this is a common problem with Ren'Py games and Avast, or other free antivirus software. In regards to why this is the first time it's happened to you, I can't say. I can promise that the file I uploaded is safe; that's about it.

Here's the thing: There isn't really supposed to be any sex this early in the story (except with your girlfriend). The entire story is currently the "first act" of sorts, and from now on, the new content is going to be a lot more likely to yield sex scenes reliably. Everything currently available is strictly seen as a bonus.

Perhaps I should have waited longer to release the game, and I'm sorry the experience has been so frustrating for people. I'm also probably better at the game than any human alive so I may have misjudged the average difficulty.
All I can really say is, I enjoy the thrill when you do pass a check, it'll make a lot more sense when the whole thing is finished, and until then I suppose an argument could be made to implement an "easy mode." I'll consider it for the next update.

Yes. The short answer is, "to cater to my niche preferences."

The longer answer: About 90% of the time when I see nipples drawn (and a lot in real life too, I suppose), they weird me out. They're often exaggerated and I just find it really off-putting. Straight-up, it's often a boner killer.
I believe I COULD make nipples that "do the trick" for me, but it'd be SO much extra work when I found that nipple-less boobs honestly just look fine to me.

As for genitalia, see above, except it's 99.9% of the time. Genitalia just straight-up grosses me out, and would be a TON more work. We seem to live in a world where you're either watching an anime that doesn't go any further than kissing, or you're watching a hentai with disgusting buckets of cum everywhere.
I got sick of searching for the softcore middle ground I like. It's SO rare, you'd hardly believe it. Especially paired with the cheating fetish, which is my favorite, but ONLY when it's done in an extremely particular way (overwhelming emotional connection).
So I made this. And released it in case there are other sorry saps out there who are cursed with my weird preferences.

The repetitive nature of the missionary scenes is actually another part of why I'm not that torn up about the RNG sex scenes; if you got to see a scene, there's a decent chance the scenes you missed had some overlap.
That said, I'm going to make some "against the wall" or "sitting upright" scenes eventually too. But really, I like iterating on missionary, trying to find new angles and improvements to detail over time (especially with animations). There are hundreds more missionary shots I could do before I'd feel like I covered all the potential.

Um, a change in environment is also nice. The next set of sex scenes for everyone take place in a car, and I've got the makings of sleeping bag sex in a tent further down the road.

You're right, the name-screaming is really the primary reason I don't let you put in your own name; name-screaming is a big turn-on for me.
However, you probably didn't notice, and I haven't even mentioned this anywhere yet, but some of the lines throughout almost all the sex scenes are actually randomly generated (just some of the generic "kissing" or "moaning" dialogue). Through a similar method, I believe I could program a player-input name to be screamed and have the letters get all extended and stuff. There's just no guarantee it'd always look good.
And there's also Stella's pet names for you, which don't really make sense if you fuck with the name.

That's certainly a surprise viewpoint on a porn game lol. I think something somewhat inherent to players in this space is definitely the "completionist" desire. Unless it involves a specific fetish folks don't want to see I think most players have the desire to "see all the content" in a game.

Afraid not, bud. I may make a shower scene with her eventually, but it won't be during the scene I know you're at (there is a sex scene there, but she'll stop you before you take the shower). Gonna need to practice making water droplets on skin and stuff too (haven't figured out sweat yet either).
