Ok, I downloaded the Book 1 from gofile .io/d/hcWmEX
filename is: "love_of_magic_ngp1_1_6_11f_win64.zip"
HOWEVER, in-game main menu states 1.6.11E

So, is the filename wrong, or is the in-game main menu listed version incorrect?
Likely just a naming snafu; the .e or .f changes would be just minor bugfixes either way (version codes go released.major.minor.bugfix)

Even though the version is marked 1.6.11e on the splash screen, the in-game changelog does list changes up to 1.6.11f, so yeah, you probably just forgot to update the version number

EDIT: ... which is proof that, even though you're the best, as a game developer, you're still human...

It's almost always because you've unzipped it to really deep path, or one using funny letters (%, $, \, {}) that confuse Unity's addressable system. Try putting it in c:\temp or something, and see if that helps.
Hey!

I'm trying to play the game again, but I still have the same problem... I've already tried the methods mentioned earlier in the thread.

Here is my game log

Any other possibilities?

Just to check, you've unzipped the game first; you're not trying to run it from inside the zip file, right?

Weird as hell. Could you check what happens when you unzip it somewhere like c:\temp, rather than inside a user-space folder? It shouldn't matter at that point, though, since the game itself is read-only (anything saved is to user-space accounts).

No changes.

I've never seen anything like it before.

Could you check if it still happens using a recent Winrar or 7zip? I've seen the windows zip system break at files > 4.2GB.
I found out!

While I was investigating, I started to think about the possibility that my system language was causing some kind of incompatibility. Not that there is a causal correlation, but based on my theory, I started exploring the game settings in search of some specific language and text parameter. Apparently, keeping the TTS option enabled causes the problem. Just disable it for everything to work normally.

I haven't tested it to the limit yet, but it seems to be fine!

Honestly, at this point I was driven by curiosity about the problem and forgot about the game behind all this. It's like finding money in your jeans pocket!
