Yes, it was lol. Not a very good game but I wanted to check it out because I was fond of it in my youth but sadly it's unplayable now due to the controls being out of wack.

I am curious as to what happened here tho as Id like to see the art that is being spoken about. I joined the discord but didn't see anything there either. I don't care about the drama I am here for the art.
Life is going to get busy just stay true to your passion and to those team members (who we refer to each other as a family now) and hopefully you'll have a long endeavor together. for us, it has always been RL first. we started out in our youth doing updates monthly and even weekly in the beginning. Now it is once a year if we are lucky but now we are pushing 3 years this time around but it is fine because RL is beautiful. Kids, marriage, jobs, sickness, death it happens but it is the journey and the connection to the people more so than the game. When the game does come around that passion will be felt by your fans and it FEELS GREAT and they feel the love too.

That is a beautiful line. I miss those times. I was able to say something like that years ago when I and my team first started our games. We were all kids then ( young college students. YES ANY UNDER 25 IS STILL A CHILD. Deal with it. I had to at that age rolf.) We made 4 games in almost 20 years about to release our fourth if life permits. The word permits are why I say your statement is beautiful. In the 20 years, we've all had our fights, and we had team members come and go but we all grew through this time. I hope that you and your team can have a similar journey as mine. To see everyone grow up, graduate, start careers and families is a wonderful thing. My team is from around the globe so it is something to see (hear, type, or however you wanna put it as we've never met in person.) how similar we all are. To see and share this journey with them I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Red I really appreciate the work you and Farfro are putting in but you gatta realise that if you are but for God's sake your going to kill yourselfs if you give all of the enemies unique rapes for each character personally yes I do like your redesigns but seriously please save yourselfs the struggle there are over 20 enemies and most of them have 2 rape animations I get that the animations don't really have life in them which does make them boring but still revamping literally everything is going to take forever why do you think the updates for the main game take so long because of the animations and characters if you wanna put less strain on yourself just stick to the original artstyle and just add onto the original sprites as an artist stand point I get that animation takes a long time but seriously this is just going overboard I'm just letting you know this now so you can be less stressed with what you do later the point I'm trying to make here is try not to overwhelm yourselfs with work and if you need time we'll wait and if your going with this be cautious on what you will do ok

Because that's all I'm really doing, I'm just expressing how I feel about it and there shouldn't be anything wrong with that.
How is expressing one's (negative) opinion going to ruin a game/mod? I highly doubt that merely criticism is precisely why the original developers of Project X abandoned the game, though if that's the case then that is just pathetic.
Since this is a Sonic fan game, if we follow this logic then I guess people shouldn't criticise the likes of Sonic 06 and Sonic Forces because that would mean Sonic Team would ruin future games further, right? No, that's not how that works!
People who properly criticise games did so because they sincerely want the games and the developers to be better.
Hell, the people who criticised Sonic games the most are fans themselves because they know precisely what could be better in these games which are much more invaluable for the developers to consider than some clowns stating that "Sonic was never good" or whatever bullshit they say which is an extremely poor form of criticism.
Criticism is important, particularly ones that are constructive, because they provide invaluable information on what could be done for improvement. It's not people just saying it's shit because that's obviously unhelpful which is not what I was doing.
Being unable to take criticism and just dismiss it as people being entitled is not a good outlook for a game developer and even if you present something for free, that doesn't and shouldn't make it immune from reasonable criticism that could potentially help you improve as a developer, artist, etc.
I'm not going out of my way to harass the developers over a redesign and I do not approve of that other guy arguing with Frafro just because they feel very emotional about it which is not a good reason for it.
I don't even hate the redesign nor do I think it's bad, I'm just not a fan of how different it is and I refuse to believe that the curvy body is somehow more on-model or accurate to the original design when official media always depicted Tails to have thin rubber-hose limbs and a round body. Despite this, I still said I understand and respect the decision to make it more consistent with the other characters' (re)designs.
I even tried to be constructive with my criticism by pointing out that perhaps the body shape could be readjusted to be more rectangular or roundish. They don't have to follow it of course but I'm just pointing out what I feel iffy about the redesign.
Just so you know, I do have experience in game development, modding and pixel art.
I know how fucking hard it is to finish a game, how tedious it can be to mod a game, and how long it takes to complete several pixel animation sets so please don't insult me by labeling me as someone who knows fuck all just because I criticise.
I know it's not easy and it's very time-consuming that it could even take years, I'm sure even people who don't have such experiences can still empathise with that, but that doesn't mean that invaluable constructive criticism should be ignored. Even for a free mod or game, there's nothing good in silencing people who just wants to express themselves over how they feel about it even if their opinions aren't positive. Don't chastise them for speaking their mind out unless it's unhelpful.

I just don't like the redesigns because now they have to go back and change every animation.
At that point you might as well make your own game with the engine.
Like it was fine with just the enemies' basic look at first, but now with the characters getting redesigned too, none of the original game is going to remain unchanged.

The only thing I'm trying to say to them is don't overwhelm yourselves with work I'm not saying rework the entire god damned engine I'm just worried that all of this work might get to them seriously Zeta had too have an entire team on this game reworking all of the animations is going to be a shitton of work that's all, I'm not discouraging them from going into their own artstyles I'm just saying that this really doesn't make sense to me but to be clear I wouldn't mind if they just stuck with the original artwork

yeah criticism is ok as long as it's well mannered and structured in a understandable format, the Devs should understand and respect the opinions of the fans but they aren't robots, the Devs are on break until july so they won't be able to fulfil these request at the moment
It would just be unfair to redesign blaze and cream and leave the other characters unchanged, I do understand your worries with them being overwhelmed but please try not to discourage the dev team into doing a half made project, the original character sprites are outdated and frafro has a plan laid out for them, best we can do is be patient, give our opinion in a civilized manner and encourage and support the team
Like I said I don't really mind the redesigns but Creams redesign ain't really doing it for me I'm just trying to let them know what they're getting themselves into I'm not trying to discourage them either like I said I really prefer Red's redesign of then Farfros but then again all of this is subjective

I'm glad to hear that, because it shows that you really like this mod and respect the work put into it. However, you don't have to worry about it so much. Creating enemies and characters is a bit time-consuming, but I will still try to do it. On the other hand, the sex animation is something that may not change that much, to be honest. Most of the characters will have the same animation. So only a few enemies will have something unique. There is also the possibility that most enemies will just have the same sex animation, but slightly reworked to accommodate the new enemy and character design. I'm really grateful that you're worried about us, but you don't have to, really

you are indeed a emotional person, and I can't blame you for it since everyone has their quirks that makes them unique, but if I were to paint you a description of how you sounded toward the Dev, who mind you, is taking his free time on remaking a forgotten porn game that had a history of the fans harassing the old Devs into quitting because they didn't have their niche demands made, it would be callous and conceited, it may be the fault of the translator, which often times makes the user sound robotic and demanding, but there could have been many ways to express you're dissatisfied with the tails redesign without tearing on it and making crude comparisons as a way to get your point across, you say he "ruined" tails despite only being a concept design, thus being free to be changed before he gets worked on, and you urge and demand for him to "fix" it despite the Mod edition Devs stating they're on a break right now due to IRL circumstances, I know you have a passion for this project but you may need to dial it back, because it oftentimes leads to you sounding like a douche, no offence, everyone wants their niche meet, specially after the drought that came after the original Devs stopped updating the game, but people have to know boundaries as to not repeat history, my only consolation for you is that the tails design may still be open for small changes, just ask when the Devs announce they're out of break, and ask in a more constructive and professional manner, Imo I'm good with the current design but that's just me I guess
