I'm stuck with the 0.10.2 update. I read that I should have 650+ fitness to trigger the tournament arc, but I'm way above it. I tried to start the event a couple of days in a row but nothing seams to work. Anyone else run into this problem?

I don’t know where you read that but they lied to you. The only time you need high amount of fitness is to climb the mountain to talk to the mayor and that is an optional event. You also need just 500 fitness nothing more to climb the mountain and it’s not needed to do to start the tournament. The reason it’s probably not triggering for you is because in game it’s December. Just skip till the next month and it will trigger

Let's be real, at this point there isn't a whole lot that can be done mechanically to make this game make sense.

It definitely won't be over within a year. Far too many plot threads to resolve.
